        액와접근법과 흉부접근법을 통한 내시경 갑상선 절제술의 임상적 고찰

        Purpose: The thyroid suregry has recently become one of the newest fields for the application of endoscopic surgery. We have performed endoscopic thyroidectomy by an anterior chest approach and an axillary approach. In this study, we evaluated these two types of endoscopic procedures with regard to efficacy and patients' complaints after surgery.Methods: Between December 2000 and March 2002, 41 patients were treated by endoscopic thyroidectomy via axillary or anterior chest approach. Each procedure was performed by one surgeon under a general anesthesia. We analysed the operating time, postoperative complications, postoperative scar, the degree of pain to assess the surgical invasiveness of each procedure.Results: Three cases treated using anterior chest approach, and 2 cases treated using axillary approach were converted to conventional thyroidectomy. The mean age of patients was 36 years in anterior chest approach group and 30 years in axillary approach group. The operation time was 238⁑60 (160∼370) minutes in anterior chest approach and 178⁑71 (100∼295) minutes in axillary approach. Postoperative complications are; 1 case of a minimal hematoma, 3 cases of minor wound infection, 3 cases of chest pain in anterior chest approach group, and 1 case of a minimal hematoma, 1 case of transient recurrent laryngeal nerve injury, 1 cases of transient swallowing difficulties in axillary approach group.Conclusion: Endoscopic (gasless and axillary approach) thyroidectomy is a safe and effective procedure. Gasless endoscopic thyroidectomy is a useful procedure for unexperienced surgeon due to safety. Endoscopic thyroidectomy by the axillary approach is a better effective procedure with good cosmetic result for a unilateral tumor especially in young women. (Korean J Endocrine Surg 2003;4:26-30)

        형광성 Pseudomonas, SSL3 균주의 생존율에 미치는 Trehalose의 효과

        To make a better use of the beneficial bacterial inoculants in the agricultural practice, dry forms of bacterial fertilizer or pesticides are prepared with carrier materials. During the drying process of bacterial inoculant, most of the cells face a severe osmotic pressure and dehydration, and die off. Our study describes the effect of osmoprotectants such as trigonelline and trehalose on the survival of bacterial cells in high salt concentration and drying conditions. A fluorescent Pseudomonas, strain SSL3, used in this study, could grow in high salt concentration of upto 5% but the cells could not overcome the growth retardation at over 7% of salt concentration. The addition of trigonelline, even on small amount, in liquid medium containing 4% NaCl was detrimental to the cell. However, the addition of trehalose of upto 10 mM to the liquid medium containing 4% NaCl, enhanced cell growth. The cell growth was retarded when 150mM trehalose was added to the medium. Upon dry formulation of cells, trehalose was added. And the dry cells were inoculated into the soil to determine the effect of osmoprotectants on the survival of the cells. The survival of the cells, both in wet or dry soil, was improved by the addition of trehalose during the dry cell formulation. The positive effect of trehalose on the cell survival at $-20^{\circ}C$ and $-70^{\circ}C$ was oven more pronounced. The FTIR (Fourier transformation infra-red) spectroscopic analysis showed that the change of the 2nd amide group was reduced by adding trehalose to the medium containing 4% NaCl. These results suggest that trehalose can protect the cell membrane from dryness or high concentration of salt, thereby diminishing the sudden change of the protein structure of the cell membrane and, as a consequence, improving the cell survival.

        자율자동차 수용성 요인분석에 관한 연구 : 구조방정식 모형을 중심으로

        In this study, a study was conducted to analyze the factors affecting the acceptability for autonomous vehicles. The previous studies were reviewed to sturdy the acceptance factors and The PLS Structral equation model was used to analyze the acceptance factors. While the existing research focused on technical safety, this study comprehensively analyze safety, convenience, economy, environment, and ethical factors. The PLS model was analyzed to significant the factors that affect the acceptability for autonomous vehicles in the order of safety, economy, convenience and environment. 본 연구에서는 자율주행자동차의 수용성에 미치는 주요 요인들을 분석하고자 하였다. 본연구에서는 우리나라 정서에 맞는 수용 요인들을 분석하기 위해서 자율주행자동차 수용성에대한 기존 선행 연구들을 분석하였고 PLS-구조방정식 모형을 중심으로 요인분석 연구를 진행하였다. 기존 연구에서는 기술수용모델에 의한 기술적인 안전성 연구에 중점을 두었다면, 본연구는 우리나라 자율주행자동차 수용성에 대하여 새로운 시각으로 안전성 뿐만 아니라 편의성, 경제성, 환경성, 윤리성 요인등을 동시에 종합분석 하였다. 분석결과, 자율주행자동차의 수용성에 미치는 잠재요인은 안전성, 경제성, 편의성, 환경성 순으로 중요도가 분석되었다.

        Factors Influencing Siderophore Production by Plant Growth Promoting Rhizopseudomonas Strains

        This study demonstrates the influence of environmental conditions, other than iron, on pyoverdin production by fluorescent Pseudomosonas. In slightly acidic pH conditions(pH 6), cell yield was reduced while the siderophore production per cell yield was increased. The optimum temperatures for the siderophore production and cell yield was $19^{\circ}C$ and $28^{\circ}C$ for 7NSK2 and $12^{\circ}C$ and $19^{\circ}C$ for ANP15. The carbon and nitrogen balance showed that at low C : N ratio of the growth medium (higher nitrogen concentration), both cell yield and siderophore production was reduced. Use of different carbon sources revealed that citrate as a carbon source facilitated iron uptake and resulted in a significant reduction in siderophore production. However, at the late exponential phase, the iron content in the cell biomass was not significantly different from those grown in glucose or succinate. From these results it can be suggested that the environmental factors other than iron may also influence siderophore production by fluorescent pseudomonas.

        반성천 홍수경보 시스템을 위한 GIUH기반 한계홍수량 산정기법 비교연구

        In the past few years, various damages have occurred in the vicinity of rivers due to flooding. In order to alleviate such flood damage, structural and non-structural measures are being established, and one of the important non-structural measures is to establish a flood warning system. In general, in order to establish a flood warning system, the water level of the flood alarm reference point is set, the critical flow corresponding thereto is calculated, and the warning precipitation amount corresponding to the critical flow is calculated through the Geomorphological Instantaneous Unit Hydrograph (GIUH) rainfall-runoff model. In particular, when calculating the critical flow, various studies have calculated the critical flow through the Manning formula. To compare the adequacy of this, in this study, the critical flow was calculated through the HEC-RAS model and compared with the value obtained from Manning’s equation. As a result of the comparison, it was confirmed that the critical flow calculated by the Manning equation adopted excessive alarm precipitation values ​​and lead a very high flow compared to the existing design precipitation. In contrast, the critical flow of HEC-RAS presented an appropriate alarm precipitation value and was found to be appropriate to the annual average alarm standard. From the results of this study, it seems more appropriate to calculate the critical flow through HEC-RAS, rather than through the existing Manning equation, in a situation where various river projects have been conducted resulting that most of the rivers have been surveyed. 지난 수년간 하천 인근에서 홍수로 인하여 다양한 피해가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 홍수피해를 경감하기 위해 구조적 비구조적 대책들을 세워 홍수 경감에 노력하고 있으며, 중요한 비구조적 대책 중의 하나가 홍수경보시스템을 구축하는 것이다. 일반적으로 홍수경보시스템을 구축하기 위해서는 홍수경보 기준지점의 수위를 먼저 설정하고 이에 대응하는 한계유량을 산출한다. 그리고, 강우-유출모형(특히, GIUH)을 통하여 한계유량에 대응하는 경보강수량을 산정하는 방식을 택하고 있다. 특히 한계유량을 산출하는 경우, 다양한 연구에서 하천측량이 이루어지지 않은 점 때문에 Manning 공식을 변수로 사용하여 한계유량을 산출하여왔다. 이에 대한 적정성을 비교하기 위해 본 연구에서는 HEC-RAS 모형을 통하여 한계유량을 계산하였고 Manning 공식에서 나온 값과 비교하였다. 비교결과, 한계유량 산정공식(Manning 공식을 변수로 사용)에서 산출된 한계유량은 과다한 경보강수량값을 채택하고 기존 설계강수량에 비해서도 매우 큰 값이 계산됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 비해 HEC-RAS의 한계유량값은 적정한 경보강수량 값을 제시하였고 연평균 알람 기준에도 적정함을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구 결과를 통해, 현재 다양한 하천사업이 이루어져 대부분의 하천의 측량이 이루어진 상황에서 기존의 Manning식에 의한 한계유량 산출보다는 강우-유출모형(GIUH)으로부터 산정된 유량 자료를 입력조건으로 하여 HEC-RAS를 통한 한계유량 및 경계 수위를 산정 해야 하는 것이 보다 적정해 보인다.

      • 국민수용성 관점의 자율주행자동차 운전능력 검증방안 제안

        자율주행자동차의 상용화는 자율주행자동차가 도로 주행이 가능하도록 도로교통법과 자동차관리법 개정, 그리고 자율주행자동차의 교통사고처리에 관한 처리규정이 마련되어야 한다. 제네바 국제협약, 비엔나 국제협약에서는 현재까지 자율주행자동차의 운전면허 필요 유무와 그 기준에 관한 표준이 정해져 있지 않다. 이런 시점에서 본 연구에서는 자율주행자동차의 도로 주행허용 관련 통행규칙 준수 능력과 이를 증명할 수 있는 운전면허 필요성과 함께 자율주행자동차의 교통사고처리 등에 대해 국민 수용의식조사 기반으로 MIMIC 모형을 구축하였다. 그 결과 자율주행자동차로부터 얻는 기대성능과 이를 누리기 위한 노력, 그리고 자율주행자동차의 인지도가 높을수록, 자동화 기능(ACC)의 사용 경험이 높을수록, 그리고 평소 자동화 시스템에 대한 신뢰성이 높을수록 자율주행자동차의 운전면허 도입 요구가 높다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 자율주행자동차 국민 수용성은 18세 이상 국민대상으로 신뢰수준 95%(±2.2% 표준오차)의 조사 결과에 해당한다.

        가상악기의 음색 분석 연구 - 바이올린, 얼후, 해금을 중심으로 -

        In this paper, we proactively looked at the structure and characteristics of each instrument in order to compare and analyze the sound colors of the western violin, chinese erhu and korean haegeum, which are representative bow string instruments. Also, many performers have simply been unable to fully explain how the violin is rich in pitch and the haegeum has a unique tone. Also, many performers thinks that violin sounds rich just because it has many overtones and have been unable to fully explain how haegeum makes unique tone. While previous research data show that most instruments are studied and published by analyzing their own frequencies or related cases of acoustic studies, this study provides a visual look how the harmonics composition, which determines musical instruments' timbres, consists of and suggests data specifically by analyzing each sound pressure of integer multiple overtones so that the structure of instruments' unique timbre can be understood. Based on this, we hope that it will be of considerable help to the development of virtual musical instruments of korean traditional instruments, which are relatively small compared to western virtual instruments, by reproducing instrument sounds through the synthesizers in the future.
