According to Cutting conditions in turning with carbide tool, tool life and tool temperature variations are measured in consideration of economy. The empirical equation for relation between tool life and tool temperature is set up. This equation is ?? Therefore it is necessary to choose economically optimum feed. cutting speed and depth of cutting by applying to the equation in machine shops.
Drill 加工時 발생하는 Burr가 工具壽命에 미치는 영향

In the relation the effects of burr which is occurred in through hole drilling, experiments were made to investigate tool life as well as precision of holes in cutting plain carbon steel(SM45C) with HSS twist drills. 1) Frill's lip wear in through hole drilling are progress rapidly by burr which is occurred compared to blind hole drilling. 2) Outer corner wear in through hole drilling are more rapidly compared to blind hole drilling. 3) Number of drilling holes of through hole are more than that of blind hole drilling in two case, HB250 and HB190.

An experimental investigation has been conducted on the machining characteristics of compacted vermicular cast iron whose nodularity was about 30%. Under two kinds of annealing conditions matrix were formulated as follows: P1 (as cast; ferrite 14.1%, pearlite 76.4%, graphite 9.5%), P2 (1 stage annealed; ferrite 44.5%, pearlite 45.7%, graphite 9.8%), P3 (2“stage annealed; ferrite 75.6%, pearlite 13.8%, graphite 10.6%). Depending upon its matrix and cutting conditing, various characteristics of machinability of compacted vermicular graphite cast iron have been obtained as follow, . As depth of cut increases the cutting ratio and shear angle increases slightly, while as ferrite matrix increases they slightly decrease. . As depth of cut increases cutting forces increases linearly, while as ferrite matrix increases they decrease, and effects of 1 stage annealing are more significant than those of 2 stage annealing. . Both shear angle and vertical force present linear increase as depth of cut increases, and they decrease as ferrite matrix increases. . As ferrite matrix increases the surface roughness increases, roughness ratio decreases as depth of cut increases. . As depth of cut increases cutting energy per unit volume decreases gradually in the order of P1, CVP2 and CVP3. . Tool life equation are as follows; P1: VT??=141 P2: VT??=162 P3: VT??=186

It is well known the machinability of D-type Graphite Cast Iron is superior to that of the other cast iron. But influene of chemical composition on the machinability has not been studied well so far. Therefore, Machinability of D-Type cast iron was studied by varying their chemical composition such as P(phosphorus), S(sulfur), Ti(titanium). Study for estimating the tool life was carried out on a lathe using WC-Co sintered tool without coolant under the following condition; depth of cut 2.0mm, feed rate of work piece 0.4mm/rev and speed of cutting 100m/min 300m/min. Results are as follows; a) Machinability of D-type graphite cast iron is much superior to that of flake graphite cast iron or nodular cast iron with corresponding to the surface roughness and chip removal, tool wear, and cutting force. b) Within the range of the present experiment, the tool-life was inversely proportional to the cutting force. c) Sulfur of D-Type graphit Caest Iron improves machinability while phosphorus and titanium deteriorate that.
Cupola 操業條件이 熔湯의 加黃에 미치는 影響에 關한 硏究

The effects of actual operating conditions of cupola in connection with Sulphur pick-up in molten Cost lron are as follows. Sulphur pick-up is increased by increasing the coke ration and steel scrap mixing ratio. In case of blasting condition where the oxidizing state in more active in combustion atmosphere, such as with excess air volume and high humidity of blast, sulphur pick up is increased. On the other hand, hot blasting follows low sulphur absorption in melting zone. For Controlling low sulphur pick-up; limestone have to be charged up to 6% of metal charge.

This paper presents a mechanical tuning method for multi-spindle control of NC machine tools. To reduce the profile error in the feed drive system, it is useful to adopt same transfer function of multi-spindle machine tools. By selecting the correction vector of servo rigidity and natural vibration on JK map, multi-spindle control can be tuned by the mechanical parameters.
灰鑄鐵의 Milling 加工時 切削條件의 接線分力에 미치는 영향에 관한 考察

By rotating cylindrical milling cutter, milling operation of cast iron has been carried out. The effect of the depth of cut, feed per tooth and cutting speed to the tangential cutting force are investigatee experimentally at cutting speed from 13.7 to 33.5m/min, the depth of cut from 0.5 to 1.5mm and feed per tooth from 25.4×10? to 76.2×10?mm without coolant. The empirical equation for relation of cut, feed per tooth and cutting speed to the cutting force are set up under these condition. The major finding of this study are as follows; 1. Tangential cutting force is the exponential function of depth of cut, cutting speed and feed per tooth. 2. Tangential cutting force has maximum value at cutting speed 18.7m/min, that is critical value on the cast iron.

This paper present a proposed mechanical tuning of feed drive system with JK map in NC machine tools. For stable control of feed drive system with closed loop control, these 3 method are useful, 1)elevating rigidity of drive system, 2) high damping coefficient, 3) reducing inertia of rotating materials.
