The crush behavior of a square column subjected to oblique loads. which is undergoing both axial and bending collapses. is analyzed. Oblique load conditions in numerical simulations are realized by means of impacting the column on a declined rigid wall with no friction. Mean crush loads corresponding to load angles are investigated with such geometrical parameters as thickness. width and length. Results show that there is a critical load angle in which a transition takes place from axial collapse mode to bending collapse mode. And then the dimensionless mean crush load is employed from normalizing the mean crush load with analytical axial mean crush load and bending moment equations. It is expressed as the function of only one variable. the load angle. Finally. the formulation for the mean crush load is developed in terms of geometrical parameters and the critical load angle

Whiplash or neck sprain is the minor injury in motor accident due to the rear-end low speed crash and usually caused by abrupt motion of extension and flexion of head-neck complex relative to torso. It is reported by the internal and external studies that design of head restraint attached on the seat and using condition has a great effect on whiplash. This study analyzed an effect of whiplash by the position of head restraint and the rear-end crash based on domestic actual condition of head restraint usage by the computer simulation. So. we first computed acceleration of the rear-end crash by the speed. and after that we examined the motion of driver by the various position of head restraint applied on the Sled analysis and NIC(Neck Injury Criteria).
