      • Cross - Agglutinin Adsorption 방법에 의한 렙토스피라균의 혈청학적 분석(1985)

        To clarify the existing serological varieties of Leptospira interrogans in Korea, 15 iso1ates of 1985 were serologically studied by cross agglutinin adsorption test. Fourteen cultures except HS 7 belonged to serogroup Icterohemorrhagiae. Isolate HM 3 and HV 8 were considered to belong to serotype mwogolo by their low residual homologous antibody(0.08 to 6.25 %) after cross adsorption with serotype mwogolo referene culture and antiserum. Both residual homologous antibody of isolate HS 7 and serotype canicola reference culture remained 1.56%, accordingly HS 7 proved to belong to serotype canicola. The agglutinogens of isolate H$gt;2, AP3, AP4, AP7 and AP9 are red to closely related to serotype mwogolo, and HM4 and HS6 to serotype birkini, which remained to be further studied. The remaining 5 strains(HY1, HS5, HY10, 310-9, 310-19) could not be attached to any known serotype of Icterohemorrhagiae serogroup by cross adsorption test.

        ‘10년이나’ 또는 ‘10년밖에’ — 1950년대 中國科學社의 존속과 폐지 —

        Since the establishment of the People's Republic of China (PRC), the Science Society of China(中國科學社, SSC) had hovered between existence and abolition until its end in May 1960. This article explores the complex processes in which the SSC faced crossroads between existence and abolition in the 1950s. First of all, there were conflicting views within the SSC. In particular, Ren Hongjun and Zhu Kezhen had different visions of the SSC’s future. Second, scientific organizations in the scientific community underwent major transformations during the time. As the Science Union(科聯), which consolidated professional societies, was established in August 1950, the China Association for Natural Science(中華自然科學社) and the Society of Chinese Scientific Workers(中國科學工作者協會) immediately declared their abolition. On the other hand, the SSC(中國科學社) and the Chinese Culture & Arts Society(中華學藝社) have managed to survive. Third, there was confrontation of opinions among scientists over the meaning of science in a “New China”. For example, the China Democratic League(中國民主同盟) expounded the so-called “Science Doctrine (科學綱領)”in June 1957 but the “Science Doctrine”was soon attacked during the Anti-Rightist Campaign. In other words, there were divisions and confrontations in three dimensions: the internal conflict within the SSC, divisions among scientific organizations, and confrontation in the scientists' society. On the one hand, Ren Hongjun's vision of the SSC, the existence of the SSC, and the “Science Doctrine” formed one camp, and on the other hand, Zhu Kezhen's plan for the SSC, the abolition of the China Association for Natural Science, and the Anti-Rightist Campaign represented the opposite position. This article argues that the opposition between these two trends in the field of science during the 1950s resulted from the confrontation between the two different visions of science - “professional science” versus “mass science.” In other words, the former aimed to encourage experts to produce scientific knowledge and spread it to the public, and the latter encouraged the masses to actively participate in scientific activities without limiting the subject of scientific knowledge production to experts.

        민국시기 동북지역의 민간종교결사와 지방당국의 대응

        本稿对民国时期东北地域民间宗教的概况,存在形式以及其和地方当局的对应进行了分析。黄天教,大乘门,白阳教,家理教,大圣门,二角二分五,北京辅国仁义军,万国道德会,法师会等民间宗教结社活动,他们被当局定性为‘邪教’是查禁的对象。除此之外,全国规模的九宫道,先天道,在理教,道院的红卍字会等也在东北地域活动。他们大部分都是清代中叶以后随着剧增的移民流入东北的。民间宗教结社兴起的背影里有天灾人祸。从东北的情况来看,除天灾人祸以外‘移民社会’这一特点也影响了民间宗教的兴起。换句话说,移居到新的家园后需要开闢困难的环境使移民们更加依赖成立宗教结社。从这些的方面能看到东北固有的特征。民间宗教基本上是危险的应对‘守势的’行为。能看出他们对于当局的查禁一贯的想要採用‘迴避’这种‘消极的’态度。活动或组织这方面也是‘公开的’特性比‘秘密结社’的性质更能展现出来。从当局对‘邪教’的认识来看,他们对‘惑人敛财’这点最担忧。另外,对有可能酿成隐患这点也很担忧。其次是担心陷入邪教的人们有可能会失业,以及男女教徒无节制地混成一起破坏美风。他们名义上一再指示查禁‘邪教’。但是实际上应该查禁‘邪教’的乡村区长,保甲,村长等在查禁上并不太积极。以上的论议可以整理为以下几点。首先,近代以后东北地域民间宗教是随着内地移民一起流入而成立的。这和其他宗教信仰也是一样的。像祠庙和庙会,‘演戏酬神’等这样的民间信仰也是在内地的民间信仰的移植和复製的过程形成的。‘移民社会’这一特性在东北地域民间宗教及信仰的形成和发展中受到了很大的影响。第二,民间宗教结社本来是‘政治性’背景和‘日常性’功能重叠一起的,但民国时期东北地域的民间宗教结社是‘日常性’更加强大。这通过东北地域民间宗教结社的‘守势的’,‘消极的’态度,多种方面的‘公开性’等可以猜测。另外,注重‘惑人敛财’的认识,基层权力对‘邪教’的宽松应对,根据这些民间宗教的持续等国家权力对应这一层面也是可以确认其‘日常性’。第三,地方当局对民间宗教的应对是相当松懈的,省政府或县政府虽把民间宗教结社定性为‘邪教’并多次强调查禁,但实质上查禁民间宗教的各层社会的保甲,警甲,村长等对此採取的是非常松懈的态度。这是不管地方当局及统治精英的强压,民间宗教能够持续的原因之一。

        This experimental study deals with on Nitric Oxide Formation & Reduction in Industrial Bunner. In this study, Laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) techniques have been used for quantitative measurements of Nitric Oxide. The NO A-X (0, 0) Vibrational band around 226 nm was excited using a XeCl excimer-pumped dye laser. And on-line excitation used $P_{21}+Q_1(14.5)/R_{12}+Q_2(20.5)/P_1(23.5)$ transition, for minimizing the other interferential effect. The measurements were taken NO concentration distribution in double swirling diffusion flame. In this swirl burner, NO concentration in downstream fo the flame decrease as primary/secondary air ratio increases.

        Licorice is widely used as a Chinese(herbal) medicine. The glycyrrhizin, a main ingredient of the natural licorice, has a potent mineralocorticoid effect which may cause severe hypokalemia and muscle paralysis. We present a 60-year-old woman, who had been ingesting one or two spoonful of licorice powder daily for about one year, developed acute flaccied quadriparesis with high levels of serum muscle enzymes and the typical features of mineralocorticoid excess such as severe hypokalemia and metabolic alkalosis. Both plasma renin activity and serum aldosterone level were below the normal values. This case indicates that licorice-induced hypokalemic myopathy should be considered in the differential diagnosis of a patient with acute quadriparesis and hypokalemia.
