In SAW filters with a small aperture, diffraction effect is not negligible and degrades the frequency response near the trap. A computer simulation program for diffraction analysis is developed, and an effective diffraction compensation method is proposed to compensate the diffraction effect. A TV-lF SAW filter was designed with the diffraction taken account by the proposed method, which satisfies given frequency specifications.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether workers at a factory next to a lead recycling factory in Pusan, were affected by lead contamination. The mean air lead concentration of lead recycling factory was $0.21mg/m^3(TWA=0.05mg/m^3)$. Thirty-nine male workers of Factory A, Cr. plating factory next to the lead recycling factory were exposed group and a comparison group, 62 male workers of Factory B were selected from another Cr. plating factory about 8.5km away from lead recycling factory. Air lead concentration of each workplace was checked for 4 times from August f to August 20 in 1995 by low volume air sampler. Each subject was interviewed about age, life-style, smoking, work history, and residence etc, and venous blood was drawn for lead measurement by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. We have observed that air lead concentration and blood lead concentration of Factory A was higher than Factory $B(2.6{\pm}1.6\;Vs.\;1.2{\pm}0.2{\mu}g/m^3,\;14.9{\pm}1.6\;Vs.\;12.2{\pm}1.6{\mu}g/dl)$. We believe that other environmental lead sources such as transportation and residence did not affect air lead and blood lead concentration differences of both factory. We concluded that high air lead and blood lead concentration of Factory A were caused by lead contamination generated by the neighboring lead recycling factory.

This paper deals with optimal mooring system to secure fish cage in a desired location, Through field investigation and paper works, we surveyed disasters by breakdown of cage frame and mooring system due to higher wave attack and selected compliant buoy mooring method for shallow water mooring system against severe coastal external forces. To analyze interaction between external forces and compliant buoy mooring system, theoretical model has developed as quasi-static nonlinear analysis. After verifying the feasibility of the numerical model compared with experiment, static analysis has tried for various mooring systems with different angle of array, number of mooring points, length of horizontal and inclined rope. Optimal mooring method using compliant buoy has selected for fish cage through numerical simulation. This results can apply for preliminary design for cage mooring system.

Purpose: Mandibular angle fractures constitute approximately 30% of mandibular fractures, and the mandibular third molar is usually in line with the fracture. This study evaluated the relationship between the extraction of a tooth in line with a mandibular angle fracture and the infection rate. Methods: One hundred and forty seven patients with mandibular angle fractures containing a tooth in line with the fracture from 2005 to 2008 were enrolled in this study. The patients were divided into two groups based on an extraction, and the infection rates were evaluated in both groups. Results: An extraction was performed in 70 patients (47.6%) and postoperative infections occurred in 14 patients (9.5%). Six (8.6%) of the 70 patients in the extraction group and 8 (10.4%) of the 77 patients in the non-extraction group had an infection. There was no significant difference between the two groups (P=0.708). Conclusion: These results show that there is no increased risk of postoperative complications when a tooth is present

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the incidence of intra- and postoperative complications of orthognathic surgery and their relevance. Materials and Methods: The clinical records and X-rays of 418 patients who underwent surgery at Chosun University Dental Hospital, Korea, over a 12-year period between 1998 and 2009 were examined. Results: The followings are some of the most common complications which happened during the oper-ations: Inadequate osteotomy in 25 cases, excessive bleeding in 11 cases, nerve injuries in 6 cases, soft tis-sue injuries in 8 cases, and tooth injury, and insertion of foreign bodies in 4 cases respectively. The most frequent complications which happened after surgery are shown below. Paraesthesia in 262 cases, dyspnea in 78 cases, pain in cervical region in 49 cases, open bite in 14 cases, plus 62 cases where other complications occurred. Despite the great variety of complications, severe life threatening complication frequency seems to be extremely low. Conclusion: Orthognathic surgery appears to be a relatively safe procedure but complications related to orthognathic surgery do still occur. Accurate evaluation and precise surgery are needed to minimize complications.
