Cultriculus kneri and C. eigenmanni previously described as genus Cultriculus were the junior synonym of Hemiculter leucisculus(Basilewsky) and H. eigenmanni (Jordan et Metz) respectively. Differences in the number of lateral line scales and gill rakers further distinguish these two species of the genus Hemiculter. Hemiculter leucisculus has distributed in the two rivers of the Han and the Imjin, and their around reservoirs, and H. eigenmanni has inhabited widely in the middle and lower courses of the Anso^˘ng-river (include the Suwon) , the Ku^˘ m, the Man` gyo^˘ng, the So^˘mjin, the Yo^˘ngsan rivers and their around reservoirs.
A Taxonomic Revision of the Family Cynoglossidae (Pisces, Pleuronectiformes) from Korea

Eight species belonging to three genera in the family Cynoglossidae of Korea are reviewed and provisional keys to species and genera are provided, with synonyms and their distribution. Among them six species collected from 1992 to 1993 are redescribed and figured in the present study; Cynoglossus interruptus, C. joyneri, C. robustus, C. semilaevis, C. abbreviatus and Paraplagusia japonica. Three species of Areliscus rhomaleus. A. trigrammus, and A. hollandi were considered as synonyms of Cynoglossus semilaevis, C. abbreviatus and C. gracilis respectively. Many tonguefishes inhabit commonly in the western and southern coast of Korea. And although Cynoglossus interruptus and C. abbreviatus are restricted only in the southern coast, C. semilaevis in the western and southwestern coast of Korea, Paraplagusia japonica occurs widely along all of the coasts of Korea.

본 논문은 프로세서와 기억장치 모듈 사이에 다중의 연결경로를 갖는 가상병렬 다단계 상호 연결 네트워크에 대해 서술하고 있다. 제안된 가상병렬 MIN 네트워크는 입력 스위칭 블럭에 $m{\times}1$ 멀티플렉서와 출력 스위칭 블럭에 $1{\times}m$디멀티플렉서를 그 리고 logN-1 단의 스위칭단을 사용하여 프로세서와 기억장치 모듈 사이에 최대 $2{\times}m$개의 독립된 연결경로를 갖고 있다. MIN 네트워크는 다중의 중복된 연결경로를 갖고 있기 때문에 다수의 프로세서들은 동시에 서로 다른경로를 통해 특정의 출력포트에 연결될 수 있다. 또한 새로운 가상-병렬구조의 MIN 네트워크는 스위칭 블럭에서 패킷 충돌의 가능성을 줄일 수 있으며 제안된 MIN 네트워크를 Passthrough ratio, 신뢰도 와 가격의 측면에서 MBSF 구조의 MIN 네트워크와 비교하였다. 가상-병렬구조의 MIN 네트워크는 MBSF 구조의 MIN에 비해 성능이 개선되었으며 매우 간단한 구조로 이루어 졌음을 확인하였다. This paper presents a virtual-parallel multistage interconnection network (MIN) which provides multipath between processor and memory module. The proposed virtual-parallel MIN network which uses $m{\times}1$ mutiplexer at the input switching block, $1{\times}m$ demultiplexer at the output switching block and logN-1 switching stages has maximum $2{\times}m$ unique paths between processor and memory module. Because it has multi-redundance paths, a number of processors can connect a specific Also, this new virtual-parallel structured MIN network can reduce packet collision possibility at switching block and it has cost. It shown to improve a performance and to be a very simple structure in comparision with MBSF structured MIN.

The fish fauna of the Buan Dam, Chollabuk-do, Korea which was constructed in 1995 was surveyed in 1994 and 1998. 14 fish species were collected in the Buan Dam and 19 species were recognized in the brackish waters along the lower course of the dam in 1998. It was remarked that the dominant species in the dam has been changed dramatically from Zacco platypus and Z. temmincki to Pseudorasbora parva and Squalidus gracilis majimae within the three years after the dam construction. And also the number of Carassius auratus and Sirulus asotus were gradually increased in the dam. However, lksookimia pumila, the threatened fish species of Korea, was decreased sharply and restricted conspicuously by fragmentation of the habitat. The positive strategies should be considered for the species conservation of lksookimia pumila in the Buan Dam.

한국산(韓國産) 참복아목(亞目) 어류(魚類)를 4과(科) 10속(屬) 24종(種)으로 분류(分類)하여 과(科), 속(屬) 및 종(種) 검색표(檢索表)를 작성(作成)하고, 1986년부터 1990년 까지 채집한 17종에 대하여 계수(計數), 계측형질(計測形質), 외부형태(外部形態), 체색(體色) 그리고 채집지성(採集地成) 등을 기록하였다. 이중 Lagocephalus gloveri Abe et Tabeta 1983, 와 L. whheeleri Abe, Tabeta et Kitahama 1984, 를 한국 미기록종으로 기재(記載)하면서, 국명(國名)을 "흑밀복"과 "은빌복"으로 각각 명명한다. Takifugu chinensis(Abe)는 1949년 Abe가 부산표본을 paratype으로 사용하여 기채 보고 하였으나, 최근의 한국산 목록에 포함되어 있지 않아 본 연구에서 이 종을 추가하고, 한국명으로 "참복"으로 제안한다. 우리나라에 분포하는 참복아목(亞目)에 해당하는 종의 대부분은 일본(日本)과 중국(中國)에도 분포하고 있지만, 그 가운데 황복 T. obscurus, 황점복 T. flavidus와 바실복 T. basileusskianus 3종은 한국의 황해(黃海)와 중국의 해역(海域)에만 출현하고 있어 주목되었다. Twenty four species belonging to 10 genera and 4 families in the suborder Tetraodontoidei in Korea were reviewed and provisional keys to species, genera and families are provided. Among them available specimens of seventeen species in this taxa collected during 1986 to 1990 from Korean waters were examined and recorded on the morphometric characters, their body color and collection sites. And two species are reported for the first time to Korea with their descriptions and figures : Lagocephallus gloveri Abe et Tabeta, 1983 and L. wheeleri Abe,Tabeta et Kitahama, 1984. Taki/ugu chiηensis Abe, previously recorded from Pusan, Korea as paratype locality but not included in the list of Chyung, 1977, is listed in the present paper with the new korean name, "Chambok". Many of this taxa are also distributed throughout the waters of China and Japan. But it is found that the distribution of three species of genus Takifugu are restricted only to the west coast of Korea as well as to the adjacent waters of China in the Yellow Sea ; T. obscurus, T. flavidus and T. basilevskianus. Taxonomy and distribution of this taxa were discussed with references to the information obtained so far.
전북 부안의 좀구굴치 ( Micropercops swinhonis ) 개체군 생태

Population ecology of the freshwater goby, Micropercops swinhonis(Gu¨nther) was studied at the Ch`oˇngho reservoir of Puan-gun, Ch`oˇllabuk-do, Korea from January 1994 to July 1995. The usual habitat of this species is usually the sand and mud substrates where water plants are dense. 18 fish species in 10 families inhabit with M. swinhonis. The food items of M. swinhonis consist of copepods, cladocerans, chironomid larvae and young fishes eat also copepod larvae and rotifers. The mature group of about 30∼40 mm in total length is reached during one year. Spawning period is from April to May based on the gonadosomatic index of female and male. The number of mature ovarian eggs of an adult female is enumerated as 219∼958 and the size of ripe eggs is 0.64∼1.12mm in diameter.

During the period from December in 1994 to January in 1995, the Korean endemic Cobitid fish, Niwaella multifasciata collected from the Kyongho River and Dukchon River which are tributaries of the Nakdong River, Sanchong-gun, Kyongsangnam-do, Korea. This report is a description of the gross morphology of the embryos and larvae up to the development of juvenile period of life. The eggs from the females were obtained by injecting gonadotropin and fertilized by dry method in the laboratory. Live, freshly laid eggs of this species were separative, demersal, reddish orange and average 1.8mm in diameter. The eggs began to hatch approximately about 142 hours after artificial fertilization at the water temperature of 10∼14℃. The newly hatched larvae were average 5.4mm in total length possessing yolk sac and 44∼46 myotomes. The hatched larvae showed high mortality and almost all larvae reached the adult stage. 2 days after hatching, the larvae attained average 7.1mm in total length, and were observed the melanophores at the side of the body at this time. 16days after hatchng, the larvae absorbed the yolk completely and became postlarvae. 85days after hatching, the larvae attained 17.3∼19.9mm in total length and entered the juvenile stage. All the fin rays were formed with complete set of fin rays; D.III, 6, A.III, 4, P. 9, V. 6, C.16. 110 days after hatching, the juvenile reached to 21.9∼24.6mm in total length, and the band patterns of them were very similar to those of the adult of Niwaella multifasciata.
전주천의 (全州川) 수질오염과 어류군집의 (魚類群集) 변화에 관한 연구

1. The authors checked the water pollution and its effect to the fish fauna at 11 stations along the creeks of the Jeonju-cheon, the Sam-cheon, and the Mangyong River respectively from June through October 1975 (Figs. 1 and 2 ; Tables 1 and 2) 2. Oxygen deficit was found to be as an important limiting factor regulating the fish ecological distribution, certainly due to the eutriphication of wastes and city sewage from the nearly districts. 3. As the pollution intensified during the period of the survey, the total numbers of fish species decreased gradually and the abundance of the dorminant species was found more distinct in the fish composition ratio as compared to the nonpolluted water areas. 4. All fish species in this studied area could be classified into 3 kind of groups as regards the tolerance for water pollution; intolerant, tolerant and intermediate species. 5. The current code controlling merely the quality of waste water should be considered for its revision, so that it might include the checking not only the kind of matters in waste waters but also the total volume of waste waters discharged from industrial pollution sources.
