전과정 평가(LCA)를 이용한 하수 슬러지 건조 공정의 환경성 평가에 관한 연구

To solve the water pollution prevention problems, sewage and wastewater disposal system as the basic facilities are installed increasingly. However, the production of sewage sludge, a by-product of sewage and wastewater disposal system, is tending to increase. Therefore, efficient disposal method of sewage and wastewater is needed. At present, there are many problems due to the current disposal methods such as open dumping, ocean disposal, and incineration. These cause secondary environmental problems. Recycling sewage sludge is an alternative method to solve these problems thoroughly and prevent environmental disruption and maximiz economic usefulness. This study presents LCA(Life Cycle Assesment) application to analyze the environmental loads and economy of sewage sludge drying process. The obtained results can be applied to prepare fundamental understanding and judgement in view of environmental and economical consideration on drying process of sewage sludge by local authorities. The results are as follows; 1. The LCA analysis results showed the types of pollution discharge such as NOx from transportation and carbon dioxide from electric power, water, heavy oil during drying process of sewage sludge for the types of input energy. 2. The influence assessment by LCA showed that drying process of sewage sludge had a big effect on greenhouse effect. It is due to carbon dioxide and methane those are generated much more than other pollution discharge. It is regarded that we need to consider change and modification of latter facilities and substitution of input energy to minimize these pollutants.

The following conclusions can be obtained. The experiment is carried out by changing experimental varibles for three sample gases in each case when there is only NOⅹ, SOⅹ,or there are NOⅹ and SOⅹ have the same concentration. The addition of C₂H₄ mostly affected the reduction rate of NOⅹ and SOⅹ, and C H , CH in order. The addition of C₂H₄, and CH₄ rarely affected the reduction rate of NOⅹand SOⅹ rather than C₂H₄ did. But, the addition of Hydrocarbon gases like CH₄, C₂H₄and C₃H?? hardly affected the reduction rate of SOⅹ.

Liquid water in flow channel is an important factor that limits the steady and transient performance of fuel cells. A computational fluid dynamics study based on the volume-of-fluid (VOF) multi-phase model was conducted to understand the transport behavior of liquid water in flow channel. The liquid water transport through in 180bends was investigated and the effect of chamfering was (discussed). The effect of wall adhesion was also considered by varying the contact angle of channel surfaces. The result of this study is believed to provide a useful guideline for design optimization of flow patterns and channel configurations of fuel cells.

A number of studies have been carried out to solve serious environmental problems occurred around the sorld. The natural environment has been destroyed by the continuous water pollution increase. Although fundamental technologies and waste-water disposal facilities have applied to solve this problem, additional sewage still increase gradually. Therefore various efficient disposal methods are needed to treat the sewage. Until now, the ways of simple reclaiming, dumping in the sea or incineration have been used to solve the problems, which are causing the sccondary environmental pollution. The sewage recycling is a solution for preventing environment pollution and maximzing economical values. In this study dryer plant for sewage sludge was investigate to efficiency. The dryter plant for sewage sludge was improved in vies of facility capacity, fuel esage and efficiency of environmental equipments.

In the case when noxious materials are NOx and SOx that have the same concentration in the sample gas, the reduction rate of NOx and SOx is increased because the ionization works well in the reactor and the radical reaction among NOx, SOx and C2H4. When the initial concentration of NOx and SOx is lower, the additional amount of C2H4 is higher, the flow rate is lower, the oxygen concentration is higher, and the input voltage and the frequency are higher, the reduction rate of NOx and SOx are increased similarly.

Green Round connected with trade and environment has been under discussion since WTO was established. It has an effect on the industry of environment that our country become a member of OECD. The horsepower of internal combustion engines is influenced by three factors; Operating factor, environmental fector and design factor. This study is concerned with the horspower on the veriation of air-fuel ratio as an operating factor. The important experimental results are as follows. 1) The behavior of each factor which influences horsepower in variation of air-fuel ratio was proved. 2) The horsepower is largely influenced by the combustion efficiency in the various factors.

Recycling sewage sludge is an alternative method to solve these problems thoroughly and prevent environmental disruption and maximize economic usefulness. This study presents LCA(Life Cycle Assesment) application to analyze the environmental loads and economy of sewage sludge drying process. The obtained results are applied to prepare fundamental understanding and judgement in view of environmental and economical consideration on drying process of sewage sludge by local authorities. The results are as follows; The economic assessment showed that the expense of drying process of sewage sludge was 45,603 won per ton. Among the expense items, the fuel cost is around 35%(15,961 won per ton) and it is the main cause. It is regarded that reducing the fuel can obtain the reduction of the cost and carbon dioxide, major environmental pollution discharge.
