Weight reduction behavior and dyeing properties of sea-island PET ultra-microfiber knitted fabrics were compared to those on the fabrics of the conventional microfiber. In the dissolution of the sea component out of seaisland type nanofilaments, it is important to determine the optimum alkaline treatment time in order to avoid the further damage of island component. SEM micrographs reveal that the dissolution of the sea component of each nanofilament fabric completed after 30 or 40 min at $95^{\circ}C$. Build-up property of disperse dye on sea-island type PET fabric from microfiber or nanofilament was generally good. Color yield of fabric from micro filament was higher than that from the nanofilament. Color yield of the fabric from PET micro- or nano-filament was found out to be dependent upon the dyeing temperature. The color yield decreased as the dyeing temperature increased. Wash fastness was moderate and light fastness was very poor.

Artificial leather has been developed as a substitute for natural leather because of the high demand for high-quality products in automobile interiors and the living leather market. Artificial leather is generally manufactured using microfiber nonwoven fabric. In this study, we analyzed the weight loss behavior of PET/co-PET ultra-microfiber by alkali hydrolysis according to NaOH concentration (10-30% o.w.f.), treatment time (5-60 mins), and treatment temperature ($80-120^{\circ}C$) by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), and mechanical analysis. We found that the optimum condition for alkali hydrolysis is 25% NaOH o.w.f. aqueous solution with a treatment time of 30 min at $100^{\circ}C$.

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) acquires excellent properties while possessing poor processability. Blending low molecular weight polyethylene disentangles the molecular chain of UHMWPE and improves its processability, improving fiber productivity. In the present study, UHMWPE and its HDPE-blended fibers were produced by a high-temperature electrospinning process, and the effect of HDPE content on fiber properties was investigated in depth. Analysis of fiber surface morphology revealed the formation of uniformly distributed nano- to microscopic pores/pits, wrinkles, and grooves on the surface of blended fibers, unlike neat UHMWPE fibers containing irregular surface bulges and pits. It suggested that the blending of HDPE affected the surface topography and the thermal and mechanical properties of electrospun fibers. The tensile strength and Young’s modulus of UHMWPE fiber improved by 142 and 102% at a 67:33 mass ratio of UHMWPE and HDPE and by 84 and 132% in the case of a 50:50 composition ratio, respectively.
해도형 초극세 나일론 편성물의 산성 염료 종류에 따른 염색 및 견뢰도

In this study, the dyeability of 0.06-denier-per-filament (dpf) ultrafine sea-island-type nylon knitted fabric was investigated and compared with that of 1.0-dpf general nylon with respect to four types of dyes. In particular, leveling, milling, half-milling, and metal-complex dyes were compared at concentrations of 0.5%, 1.0%, 2.0%, 4.0%, and 8.0% on-weight-fabric (o.w.f). In each case, staining was performed at 100 ℃. The dyeabilities of the materials were compared in terms of the depth of color as defined by the ratio of the absorption coefficient (K) to the scattering coefficient (S). Results indicated generally low K/S values for both the 0.06-dpf ultrafine sea-island-type nylon and 1.0-dpf general nylon. In terms of the dye type, the milling and half-milling dyes exhibited K/S values of ≥20 for all colors of yellow, red, and blue for the 0.06-dpf ultrafine yarn sea-island-type nylon, which were superior to those of the other dye types. Hence, the milling and half-milling dyes are considered more suitable than the other dyes. Further, a comparison of dye fastness and compatibility revealed that the half-milling dye was the most suitable dye for the 0.06-dpf ultrafine sea-island-type nylon.

최근 패션트렌드의 변화에 따라 대중의 유행심리에 부합하는 섬유원단의 발전이 계속되고 있으며 각종 전시회 PV 및 거래되고 있는 바이어 요청 사항을 분석해본 결과 silk-like 광택과 같은 시각적인 패션성 및 터치와 같은 감성을 가지는 동시에 최근 이슈가 되는 미세먼지, 황사 등으로부터 인체를 보호할 수 있는 기능성이 부여된 환경 대응형 기능성 패션제품의 개발 수요가 급증하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라, 광택 및 패션성을 가지는 동시 안티더스트 성능을 가지는 캐치온 해도형 소재(이하 Anti-dust 캐치온 해도사)를 제조하기 위해 대전방지성 무기입자가 혼입된 원사의 농도별 물성을 고찰하였다.
