        초등과학영재의 과학 노트를 활용한 정리활동 특성분석

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the writing styles and features of science writing by using science notebook for elementary school science gifted. The subject of this study was 37 sixth grade elementary school science gifted in P city. The preliminary 1 hour instruction was conducted to explain the usage of science notebook. The summarized activity using science notebook was conducted for 20 minutes following 4 hour lesson. These activities were performed for 8 times. As the result of this study, in The content which is learned today (main learning content)` which is one of components of science note, the writing appears the most frequently in external expression types and features of scientific writing, followed by writing+drawing, drawing, cartoon, writing+cartoon, mind map, table. Science writing which uses inductive thinking appears the most frequently in internal expression types and features of scientific writing, followed by deductive thinking, creative thinking. Among the components of science note, ``thinking and feeling``, ``question,`` ``one`s own thinking of question`` which are the components of science note promote the reflective thinking of elementary school student gifted for science.

        과학고 및 영재학교에 재학 중인 과학영재의 연구노트 작성실태 분석

        We analyzed the responses of 152 science-gifted high school students by surveying the status and recognition of writing and keeping laboratory notebooks to develop guidelines and education plans. Science-gifted students did not write laboratory notes diligently, despite recognizing that it is crucial to do so. Mentors also tended not to provide faithful guidance and inspection. There was an insufficient practice in using research evidence in laboratory notebooks, such as including names and dates for authentication. In addition, while a high ratio of students owned their own laboratory notebooks, there was not a high level of recognition regarding the retention period, ownership, and responsibility. Based on these results, we propose suggestions for improving educational institutions for gifted students in science. First, it is necessary to strengthen the guidance for science-gifted students to faithfully write laboratory notebooks. Second, education on writing laboratory notebooks should be provided. Third, science-gifted high schools should prepare regulations for the management of lab notes and conduct education based on them. 이 연구에서는 과학영재의 연구노트의 작성과 보관 현황 및 인식 실태를 분석하여, 향후 연구노트 작성과 관리 지침 및 교육 방안 마련을 위한 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 과학영재 고등학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고 152명의 응답을 분석하였다. 과학영재 학생들의 연구노트 작성과 보관 현황 및 인식의 특성을 살펴보면, 연구노트의 작성이 중요하다고 인식하는 것에 비해 성실하게 작성하지 않았고, 지도교사나 과학자 등 멘토의 지도와 점검도 성실하게 수행되지 않는 경향이 나타났다. 또, 이름, 날짜기입 등 연구증빙을 위한 실행이 부족하였다. 그리고 연구노트를 학생이 직접 소유하고 보관하는 비율이 가장 높았으나, 보존 기간이 얼마인지, 소유 및 보관 주체가 누구인지에 대한 인식 수준은 높지 않았다. 이러한 결과에 기반하여 과학영재 교육기관의 개선사항을 제안한다. 첫째, 연구노트 작성을 성실히 수행하도록 과학영재 학생들에 대한 지도를 강화할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 연구노트 작성 방법에 대해 구체적으로 교육할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 학교에서 구체적인 연구노트 작성, 관리에 대한 규정을 마련하고 이를 바탕으로 교육이 이루어져야 한다.

        초등 교과교육 : 초등학교 4학년 자유탐구 활동에서 자기주도적 과학 탐구 노트의 활용 효과 분석

        이 연구의 목적은 초등학교 4학년 자유탐구에서 자기주도적 과학 탐구 노트의 활용이 과학 탐구 능력 및 과학적 태도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 알아보는 것이었다. 연구 대상은 서울 시에 있는 두 초등학교, S초등학교 4학년 2개 반과 J초등학교 4학년 2개 반을 각각 실험반 2개 반과 통제반 2개 반으로 구성하였다. 두 집단을 대상으로 하여 과학 탐구 능력과 과학적 태도에 관한 사전·사후 검사를 실시하였으며 실험반 학생들에게는 자기주도적 과학 탐구 노트를 활용한 자유탐구를 8주간 실시하였고 통제반 학생들에게는 교육과정에 제시된 일반적인 자유탐구를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 자유탐구에서 자기주도적 과학 탐구 노트의 활용은 교육과정에 제시된 일반적인 자유탐구의 수행 보다 학생들의 과학 탐구 능력을 향상시키는데 효과가 있었다. 과학 탐구 능력 하위 요소에서도 기초 탐구 능력과 통합 탐구 능력 모두에서 효과를 보였다. 이는 자유탐구에서 자기주도적 과학 탐구 노트를 활용하는 것이 과학 탐구 능력 향상에 효과적인 방법임을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 자유탐구에서 자기주도적 과학 탐구 노트의 활용은 교육 과정에 제시된 일반적인 자유탐구의 수행 보다 학생들의 과학적 태도를 향상시키는데 효과적이었다. 특히, 과학적 태도 하위 요소 중 개방성, 협동성, 자진성에서 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 사후면담 결과와 같이 학생들은 자유탐구에서 자기주도적 과학 탐구 노트가 주제를 정하는 방법, 자유 탐구를 하는 방법, 결과를 작성하는 방법 등에 도움을 주었다고 인식하고 있었다. 이상의 연구 결과로부터 자기주도적 과학 탐구 노트의 활용이 학생들의 과학 탐구 능력과 과학적 태도를 향상시키는데 효과가 있으므로 다른 학년에도 적용하여 볼 필요가 있다. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of using self-directed science notebooks in grade 4 open inquiry activities on scientific inquiry abilities and scientific attitudes. This study was conducted with 4th grade students, two experimental groups and two control groups, in S elementary school located in Seoul K district. The pre and post test were conducted on scientific inquiry abilities and scientific attitudes to both experimental and control groups. The experimental group conducted open inquiry with self-directed science notebooks for 8 weeks, meanwhile the control group conducted general open inquiry suggested by the national curriculum. The major research findings are as follows: First, the use of self-directed science notebooks in open inquiry is more effective than general open inquiry in improving students` scientific inquiry abilities, specifically in the areas of basic process skills and integrated process skills. It was found that the use of self-directed science notebooks in open inquiry is effective in improving science inquiry abilities. Second, the use of self-directed science notebooks in open inquiry is more effective than the general open inquiry in improving students` scientific attitudes. Especially, open-mindedness, cooperation, and voluntariness in the areas of scientific attitudes were improved. Third, students acknowledged that the use of self-directed science notebooks in open inquiry is effective in the way of choosing topics, conducting open inquiries, writing results, etc as shown in post interview results. Therefore, it is needed to apply self-directed science notebooks in open inquiry to other grades since the use of self-directed science notebooks in open inquiry is effective in improving students` scientific inquiry abilities and scientific attitudes.

        자유 탐구에서 과학 탐구 노트를 활용한 ASI 모듈 개발 및 적용 효과 -지구와 우주 영역을 중심으로-

        The purpose of this study was to understand the teaching effects after conducting ASI module in the open inquiry activities of the elementary science class. in order to understand the effects of ASI(Authentic Scientific Inquiry) module application using science research notes in open inquiry activities to students` science research ability, The results of this study were as follow. First, the after test results were covariance-analyzed to be the effects to science process skills were statistically significant in 0.5 significance level. Second, in the covariance analysis of the after test of the study group and the comparative group, the effects to scientific creative problem solving skills were statistically significant in 0.5 significance level. Third, the covariance analysis of the after test in the effects of ASI module application using science notebooks to students` scientific attitude revealed that the two groups` average difference was statistically significant in 0.5 significance level. In conclusion, application of the ASI module using science notebooks had a positive effect on improvements of students` science process skills, science creative problem solving ability and scientific attitude. Therefore, the ASI module using science notebooks is hopefully to be provided as an effective instructive strategy in the open inquiry activities courses in school in the future.

        반성적 사고에 기초한 과학탐구노트 활용 과학활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력, 자기통제력에 미치는 효과

        본 연구는 반성적 사고에 기초한 과학탐구노트 활용 과학활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력 및 자기통제력이 미치는 영향을 분석하여 그 효과를 검증 해 봄으로써 실제 유아교육 현장에서 활용가능한 교육적 방향과 교수학습방법을 모색하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 만 5세 유아 40명을 대상으로 실험집단에는 반성적 사고에 기초한 과학탐구노트 활용 과학활동을 실시하고 비교집단에는 전통적인 과학활동을 실시한 뒤 과학적 탐구능력검사와 자기통제력 검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 반성적 사고에 기초한 과학탐구노트 활용 과학활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력 전체 점수와 하위영역인 관찰, 분류, 예측, 측정, 토의에서 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 반성적 사고에 기초한 과학탐구노트 활용 과학활동이 유아의 자기조절력 전체 점수와 하위영역인 행동억제, 정서성에서 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of science activities using science notebooks based on the reflective thinking of young children’s scientific inquiry competences and self-control. The subjects of this research were a total of 40 young children at age 5 from two classes in G, which is located in G city. The subjects were randomly assigned to two groups. The collected data were analyzed by t-test using SPSS program. The results of this study were as follows: the experimental group which conducted the science activities using science notebooks based on the reflective thinking showed significantly higher improvement of young children’s scientific inquiry competences and self-control. Therefore, it could be concluded that science activities using science notebooks based on reflective thinking contributed to the development of scientific inquiry competences and self-control of young children.

        인지 수준에 따른 자유 탐구 활동에서 과학 탐구 노트의 활용 효과

        The purpose of this study was to understand the teaching effects according to the cognitive levels after conducting inquiry activities using science notebooks in the open inquiry activities of the elementary science class. The results of this study were as follow. first, students having the open inquiry activities using science notebooks showed improvement in scientific inquiry abilities in both groups with the low and high cognitive level. Second, regarding the changes of scientific attitudes, both groups with the low and high cognitive level exhibited improvement. According to the result of analyzing interaction between the cognitive level and class treatment on the effects for scientific inquiry abilities and scientific attitudes, there was no difference by the cognitive level. And the use of science notebooks in open inquiry activities had effects on improving scientific inquiry abilities and scientific attitudes regardless of the cognitive level.

        문제 해결력 향상을 위한 반성적 사고 촉진 교수 학습 프로그램의 개발 및 적용

        We examined the strategies to stimulate the reflective thinking using science notebook for the improvement of problem solving ability which is one of the core skills for the future. The strategies we derived have four steps which are input, output, solving mission and reflection as my own mirror. We applied the strategies to the 6th grade class for autumn semester in order to examine the students learning process and the result. We could observe that students looked into their own learning and had a time to look back their activities in the class. We could also confirmed that science notebook would be effective to improve the problem solving as stimulating the reflective thinking. In addition, we could specify the strategy of using science notebook in the class. At a ``input`` stage, students should be able to choose their own learning style as their preference and teacher need to give them proper feedback. Interaction with peers should be emphasized during the activities as ``question attack`` and ``question defense`` in ``output`` stage and ``solving mission`` stage. You should suggest the students various method to record their thought from looking back their classroom activities instead of mere writing. We also examine the students achievement from the students` notebook and Meta Cognitive Awareness test. As a result, students who had studied using science notebook showed statistically meaningful higher achievement than controlled students.

        자유탐구 방법을 활용한 환경수업이 과학탐구능력 및 환경친화적 태도에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this study is to make a Result analysis on the free inquiry Method of elementary school student. also, this study investigates how free inquiry activities effect the science Process skills and environment-friendly attitudes of elementary school student For this study 150, sixth year, elementary school students from Busan city were selected. The inquiry examined the effectiveness of each of the following free inquiry methods: the PBL inquiry, the Project inquiry, the IIM inquiry, the small group inquiry and the science notebooks inquiry. The students were divided into groups in which they incorporated the respective methods into their practice. Test showed the following results: The environmental class which applies a free inquiry method(PBL inquiry, Project inquiry, IIM inquiry, small group inquiry and science notebooks) was effective in science process skills improvement. Second, The environmental class which applies a free inquiry method((PBL inquiry, Project inquiry, IIM inquiry, small group inquiry and science notebooks) was effective in environment-friendly attitude improvement.

        자유탐구 기법을 활용한 수업이 과학 창의적 문제해결력 및 과학적 탐구능력에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this study is to make a Result analysis on the Free Inquiry Method of Elementary school student. Also, this study investigates how free inquiry activities effect the science creative problem solving ability and science process skills of Elementary school student. The Inquiry examined the effectiveness of each of the following free inquiry methods: the Program Based Learning method, the Project method, the Independent Investigation Method, the Small Group Inquiry Method, and the Science Notebooks Method. The students were divided into groups in which they incorporated the respective methods into their practice. Test showed the following results: First, the Science Notebooks Method activities proved to be much more effective than the Program Based Learning method, the Project method, the Independent Investigation Method, the Small Group Inquiry Method, and the Science Notebooks Method in terms of developing on science creative problem solving ability. Second, the Project method activities proved to be much more effective than the Program Based Learning method, the Independent Investigation Method, the Small Group Inquiry Method, the Science Notebooks Method in terms of developing on science process skills.
