        Networking 기반의 간선도로의 망기능 분석방법론 연구

        The present study proposed a methodology to analyze the networking efficiency of arterial road networks. The methodology was motivated to design three-dimensional networks and to analyze the networking ability quantitatively, which is a novel approach compared to existing methods depending on the two-dimensional network definition and the qualitative analysis for improving arterial road networks. The method considered the interdependence between high-level freeways and low-level highways, the ITS-based information for traffic and road conditions, and the physical networking. These three factors were quantified by a networking index (NI), and the networking efficiency was measured by a networking rate (NR). The present study proved that the networking efficiency (NR) was influenced by travel information sharing (i.e., ITS) and physical factors. This supports the fact that the integrated improvements of physical and ITS factors are necessary for an arterial road. The proposed method was applied for an actual arterial road network. It was found that the nation-wide NR was higher than that for the metropolitan area, which might be due to the difficulty in switching between high- and low-level networks and the lack of ITS functions in the metropolitan area. 본 연구는 기존 정성적/평면적으로만 다뤄왔던 간선도로의 망기능을 입체적/정량적으로 분석하기 위하여 새롭게 정의한 네트워크(network)과 네트워킹(networking)에 입각한 망기능 분석방법론을 제시하고, 실제 간선도로망에 적용하여 망기능을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 간선도로 네트워크를 상부도로인 고속국도와 이와 연계된 하부도로(일반국도, 지방도, 도시부도로 등) 간을 입체적 관점에서 분석하였고, 기존의 물리적인 연결성 측면 외에도 교통정보 및 주행조건 등 운전자(이용자) 측면의 망기능을 고려한 세부기능지표(networking index, NI)를 도출하여, 망기능의 효율성을 정량적으로 평가할 수 있는 네트워킹 지수(networking rate, NR)를 산정하였다. 주요 분석결과로서, ITS 분야인 교통정보기능이 네트워킹 구성요소에 중요한 영향요소임을 입증하였다. 이는 기존에 물리적 연계 중심의 도로정비방안 도출보다 교통정보를 고려한 네트워킹 정비의 필요성을 보여준다. 그리고, 실제 고속국도 중심 간선도로 망기능을 분석한 결과로서 전국대비 수도권에서 낮은 망기능을 보이고 있는데, 상·하부도로 간 대체우회기능을 수행할 수 있는 구간기능과 교통정보기능이 상대적으로 떨어지는 것이 주요 원인으로 분석되었다.

      • Social Networking Sites among Edtech Students of Philippine Normal University Visayas

        The study aims to assess the use of social networking sites among Educational Technology (Edtech) students of Philippine Normal University Visayas. Descriptive method was used. A total of 95 respondents participated, 27 were males and 68 were females. The statistics used were: frequency, percentage weighted mean, and rank. The top three uses of social networking in the personal life of the respondents according to rank are: 1) to connect with people, 2) to do research, and 3) to e-mail people. With regard to its use in their academic life, the top three are: 1) to do research, 2) to e-mail, and 3) to connect with people. The social networking sites which ranked number one as being used by the respondents are Google for research, Yahoo for e-mail, Facebook for connecting with people and OLX for purchasing. The study disclosed that the respondents “agree” with the benefits of social networking. It was concluded based on the findings of the study that there are social networking sites used to a high extent by the respondents. However, they are limited only to Facebook, Google and Yahoo. The foremost use of social networking is for researching, chatting and messaging and uploading and downloading. Furthermore, it was concluded that the respondents are aware that social networking has both benefits and risks. The researcher recommends the following: the students should be given trainings and workshops on the effective use of social networking; the teachers should monitor the social networking done by their students for purposes of proper guidance and information.

        The impact of networking characteristics on perceived individual performance: evidence from Seoul metropolitan government in Korea

        The current study investigates networking’s impact on individual performance with special attention paid to the frequency and necessity dimensions of networking. Motivated by the importance-performance analysis methodology, this study conducts a frequency-necessity analysis to investigate networking characteristics, which leads to four networking types. Data collected from metropolitan government officials in Seoul Metropolitan Government, Korea reveal that necessary but infrequent networking, as well as unnecessary but frequent networking, negatively influences individual performance, compared to networking with necessary and frequent networking partners. The study concludes with a call for strategic networking.

        HEXACO Personality Traits and Job Seekers' Networking Behavior: The Effect of Network Size

        Although networking behavior is an effective job search method to students, far too little attention has been paid to mechanisms explaining the antecedents and networking behavior. The goal of this study was to demonstrate the effect of the HEXACO personality dimensions on graduated students' job search networking behavior through their network size. A survey of 773 participants was conducted to assess personality traits, network size, and networking behavior. All constructs in the study were measured by 5-point Likert scales. This study employed a structural equation model to examine the proposed conceptual model and the correlations among variables. Results showed that the personality of emotionality negatively influence students' network size, while extraversion and agreeableness are positively associated with the scope of their social network. Second, the findings confirmed that network size is directly related to the level of looking-for job behavior, particularly networking behavior. Finally, our results explored that network size played the mediating effect on how personality traits affect networking behavior. These findings suggest that network size is a dynamic mechanism that helps to understand the correlation between personality traits and job search networking behavior. The theoretical and practical implication of the study, as well as the future research direction were discussed.

        With the development of cloud computing, big data, Internet of things, the traditional logistics industry integration of the Internet. It gave birth to a variety of business models and Shared prosperity. It has discovered the dynamic factors of logistics industry in Jing-Jin-Ji region (Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei region) were related to the regional network, industry integration and business innovation, etc. This article, based on the investigation of "the networked logistics industry" in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, influence elements of logistics industry,established the model of combination of the dynamics.The model reflected the network in the process of logistics industry,which including four dimensions :the logistics industry benefit, scale of logistics, the logistics demand and logistics network resources, to simulate the trend of the logistics industry network. In addition, It observed the dynamic effect of the four-dimensional one completely changed. It has been found that the influence of scale of logistics efficiency and logistics more network logistics industry in Jing-Jin-Ji. But it is not obvious, the influence of the network resources, the logistics demand of network logistics industry in Jing-Jin-Ji area.

        The Search for Creative Networks in Guanxi Land: A Study of Social Networking related to Shanghai Expo 2010

        Entering the twentieth-first century, post-Mao China continues its considerable transformation. The central theme of this research lies in the examination of the forms of social networking through a case study of Shanghai Expo 2010. The overall question is: To what extent will Chinabe able to enter the global network economy whilst maintaining its emphasis on hierarchical decision-making and central control? This concerns the role of the social in the preparation of Shanghai Expo 2010, with a particular focus on creative networks. The notion of creative networks, which was a starting point for this thesis, is theoretically understood as creative people who are specialists in rather privileged contexts involved with the new economy. The analysis of creative networks is framed in a dialectic relationship between agents (the researcher) and the structure within which they act. Ultimately, however, this paper problematises the notion of creative networks as they are generally understood in Westernurban cultures, providing a reflexive perspective with a focus on people and subjectivities, practices of networking, and socially embeddedness. In addition to an analysis of documents and histories, the main methodology is ethnographic. The aim was to gain access to the creative networks related to Expo 2010. But this proved extremely difficult. Due to access problems, I aim to develop an argument about two rather different networking logics: on the one hand the Western oriented "creative networks" and, on the other hand, the specific Chinese guanxi. Creative networks show a more open social system comprised of open, inclusive, reflexive and fluid networks. Guanxi represents a closed social system that is conditioned by traditionally hierarchical networks of family and the state. The research ultimately demonstrates how these two types of networking work differently.

        Agile Networking in Smart Grids

        Recently, the smart grid (SG) has been introduced to solve the serious network issues caused by the increasing electrical demand and the complex nonlinear nature of the electric power distribution network. The SG, regarded as the next generation power grid, can transmit power in more efficient ways by building an automatic and distributed energy delivery network. In this paper, we first assess how various existing networking technologies, such as IEEE 802.11 (WiFi) and IEEE 802.15.4 (ZigBee), meet the requirements of the SG communication protocols. Specifically, we classify the existing network protocols into three categories: WSN-based networking, WiFi-based networking, and wireline-based networking. We then survey the security issues regarding the SG. Finally, we propose an agile SG networking architecture and show the effectiveness of different adopted networking technologies and, as a result, present a candidate solution to implement agile networking in SGs.

        SD-ICN: Toward Wide Area Deployable Software Defined Information Centric Networking

        Information Centric Networking that uses content name instead of IP address as routing identifier can handle challenges such as traffic explosion and user mobility, but it also suffers from scalability and incompatibility problems. In this paper by combining the concept of software defined networking and Internet end to end arguments, we propose a wide area deployable software defined information centric networking service model named SD-ICN. SD-ICN employs a dual space structure that separates edge service network and core transmission network. The enhanced SDN techniques are used in edge service network in order to implement intelligent data routing and caching, while traditional IP technique is reserved in core transmission network so as to provide wide area high speed data transmission. Besides, a distributed name resolution system based on the cooperation of different controllers is also presented. The prototype experiments in our campus network show that SD-ICN can be deployed in a scalable and incremental way with no modification of the core network, and can support typical communication modes such as multicast, mobility, multihoming, load balancing, and multipath data transmission effectively.

        소기업 기업가의 네트워킹활동과 그 효과성의 매개효과가 기업성과에 미치는 영향

        Small businesses, which are relatively lacking resources and competencies, experience difficulties in achieving technological and management innovation as individual companies face numerous limitations in terms of productivity improvement and sustainable growth. To overcome the difficulties, small business entrepreneurs actively make use of external networks. This study was aimed at identifying the impact of networking activities performed by small business entrepreneurs as members of small and medium business convergence exchange groups and mediating effects of the effectiveness of such activities on corporate performance through structural equation modeling analysis. Through analysis of responses from 272 entrepreneurs collected in the method of questionnaire distribution and collection, the following results were derived. First, small business entrepreneurs' networking activities did not have a direct impact on their corporate performances. Second, networking activities were found to exert significant and positive impact on social support, information accessibility and resource accessibility, which are elements of the effectiveness of networking activities. Third, of networking effectiveness variables, social support and resource accessibility exerted positive impact on corporate performances. However, it was found that information accessibility did not exert any significant impact. Based on the results, it was found that social support and resource accessibility had complete mediating effects between social business entrepreneurs' networking activities and corporate performances. These results have made an academic contribution to comparatively verify effectiveness variables of networking activities, which had been highly applicable and also limited to field operations, by adding a social and psychological factor of social support. 상대적으로 자원과 역량이 부족한 소기업들은 개별기업 차원에서는 기술·경영의 혁신도 어려울 뿐만 아니라 생산성 향상 및 지속성장에 많은 한계가 존재한다. 이를 극복하기 위해 소기업 기업가들은 외부 네트워크를 적극 활용한다. 이에 외부 네트워킹활동 특성이 특히 두드러지는 ‘중소기업융합중앙회’ 소속 소기업 기업가들의 네트워킹활동과 그 효과성의 매개효과가 기업성과에 미치는 영향관계를 구조방정식모형 분석을 통해 밝혀내고자 하였다. 설문지 배포‧회수 방식으로 수집된 272명 기업가의 응답 분석결과, 첫째, 소기업 기업가의 네트워킹활동은 기업성과에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 네트워킹활동은 그 효과성에 해당되는 사회적 지지, 정보접근성 그리고 자원접근성에 유의하고도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 네트워크 효과성 변수들 중에서도 사회적 지지와 자원접근성은 기업성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으나 정보접근성은 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 이를 통해 사회적 지지와 자원접근성은 소기업 기업가의 네트워킹활동과 기업성과 사이에서 완전매개효과를 갖는다는 사실을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 기업현장에서 실무적 적용가능성이 높을 뿐만 아니라 네트워킹활동의 효과성 변수에 사회적 지지라는 사회‧심리적 요인을 추가하여 비교‧검증했다는 점에서 학문적인 공헌이 있다.

        IDNet: Beyond All-IP Network

        Recently, new network systems have begun to emerge (for instance, 5G, IoT, and ICN) that require capabilities beyond that provided by existing IP networking. To fulfill the requirements, some new networking technologies are being proposed. The promising approach of the new networking technology is to try to overcome the architectural limitations of IP networking by adopting an identifier (ID)-based networking concept in which communication objects are identified independently from a specific location and mechanism. However, we note that existing ID-based networking proposals only partially meet the requirements of emerging and future networks. This paper proposes a new ID-based networking architecture and mechanisms, named IDNet, to meet all of the requirements of emerging and future networks. IDNet is designed with four major functional blocks — routing, forwarding, mapping system, and application interface. For the proof of concept, we develop numeric models for IDNet and implement a prototype of IDNet.
