        권영휴,김석진,박채란,한상균,Kwon, Y.H.,Kim, S.J.,Park, C.R.,Han, S.K. 국립한국농수산대학교 교육개발센터 2015 현장농업연구지 = Journal of practical agricultural resear Vol.17 No.1

Comparison of the standard and instruction for grade and quality of landscape plants between Korea and foreign countries indicates that the individual country characteristically develops and uses their own standards for landscape plants. Ultimate aim of these regulations is to develop the standard of landscape plants classified by kinds, types and purposes to improve the quality of landscape plants. This study analyzed the differences of standards and instructions for landscape plants between Korea and other countries such as Germany, Switzerland, America, Canada and Japan. Our results indicated that Korea and Japan used the diameter at 1.2m above from ground surface for the diameter at breast height(DBH) whereas Germany and Switzerland at 1.0m above from ground surface. In case of America and Canada, the standard of landscape plants included crown width, height and DBH of plants. In Germany, the standard for creeping plants and herbaceous flowers was determined by the type and the root size of plants with the standard of containers(seven to eleven types). This research would be helpful for developing the practical and environmentally suitable guideline for the grade and quality of landscape plants and also for developing the standardized distribution structures and cultivation techniques for landscape plants in Korea.

제주 성읍민속마을의 귀화식물 분포현황 및 관리방안

노재현 ( Rho Jae Hyun ),오현경 ( Oh Hyun Kyung ),한윤희 ( Han Yun Hee ),최영현 ( Choi Yung Hyun ),변무섭 ( Byun Mu Sup ),김영숙 ( Kim Young Suk ),이원호 ( Lee Won Ho ) 한국전통조경학회 2014 한국전통조경학회지 Vol.32 No.1

The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of vascular plants and naturalized plants growing in the Seongeup Folk Village in Jeju and to consider and compare their distribution patterns and the characteristics of emergence of naturalized plants in other folk villages and all parts of Jeju, thereby exploring measures to well manage naturalized plants. The result of this study is as follows.11) The total number of vascular plants growing in Seongeup Folk Village is identified to be 354 taxa which include 93 families, 260 genus, 298 species, 44 varieties and 12 breeds. Among them, the number of naturalized plants is 55 taxa in total including 22 families, 46 genus, 53 species, and 2 varieties, which accounts for 21.7% of the total of 254 taxa identified all over the region of Jeju. The rate of naturalization in Seongeup Folk Village is 15.5%, which is far higher than the rates of plant naturalization in Hahoi Village in Andong, Yangdong Village in Gyeongju, Hangae Village in Seongju, Wanggok Village in Goseong, and Oeam Village in Asan. Among the naturalized plants identified within the targeted villages, the number of those growing in Jeju is 9 taxa including Silene gallica, Modiola caroliniana, Oenothera laciniata, Oenothera stricta, Apium leptophyllum, Gnaphalium purpureum, Gnaphalium calviceps, Paspalum dilatatum and Sisyrinchium angustifolium. It is suggested that appropriate management measures that consider the characteristics of the gateway to import and the birthplace of the naturalized plants are necessary. In the meantime, 3 more taxa that have not been included in the reference list of Jeju have been identified for the first time in Seongeup Folk Village, which include Bromus sterilis, Cannabis sativa and Veronica hederaefolia. The number of naturalized plants identified within the gardens of unit-based cultural properties is 20 taxa, among which the rate of prevalence of Cerastium glomeratum is the highest at 62.5%. On the other hand, the communities of plants that require landscape management are Brassica napus and other naturalized plants, including Cosmos bipinnatus, Trifolium repens, Medicago lupulina, Oenothera stricta, O. laciniata, Lotus corniculatus, Lolium perenne, Silene gallica, Hypochaeris radicata, Plantago virginica, Bromus catharticus and Cerastium glomeratum. As a short-term measure to manage naturalized plants growing in Seongeup Folk Village, it is important to identify the current status of Cosmos bipinnatus and Brassica napus that have been planted for landscape agriculture, and explore how to use flowers during the blooming season. It is suggested that Ambrosia artemisiifolia and Hypochaeris radicata, designated as invasive alien plants by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, should be eradicated initially, followed by regular monitoring in case of further invasion, spread or expansion. As for Hypochaeris radicata, in particular, some physical prevention measures need to be explored, such as for example, identifying the habitat density and eradication of the plant. In addition, it is urgent to remove plants, such as Sonchus oleraceus, Houttuynia cordata, Crassocephalum crepidioides, Erigeron annuus and Lamium purpureum with high index of greenness visually, growing wild at around high Jeongyi town walls. At the same time, as the distribution and dominance value of the naturalized plants growing in deserted or empty houses are high, it is necessary to find measures to preserve and manage them and to use the houses as lodging places.

조경식물의 생산 및 수요 현황과 개선 방안 -강원특별자치도를 사례로-

        최민정,한갑수,함광민 한국환경과학회 2023 한국환경과학회지 Vol.32 No.12

The purpose of the study is to explore strategies to revitalize the distribution of landscaping plants in Gangwon State (hereinafter referred to as Gangwon-do). To understand the current distribution status and perception of landscape materials in Gangwon-do, a survey was conducted on producers and consumers focusing on cultivation area and method, cultivated species and quantity, purchase species and quantity, and purchase area. Producers often cultivated open land, and in the case of trees and shrubs, most of them cultivated <5 species. On the other hand, consumers preferred field cultivation products when purchasing trees and shrubs. Approximately 6–10 species of trees and shrubs were preferred for a single purchase, confirming an imbalance in the supply and demand of landscaping plants. In addition, both producers and consumers had a positive perception of landscape plant transactions in Gangwon-do; however, the dissatisfaction factors for producers included a small consumer base and difficulties for them in securing standards and quantities. Based on these results, it is necessary to establish a platform that can interconnect producers' landscape plant cultivation information with consumers' requirements to rejuvenate the landscape plant distribution market and enhance competitiveness in Gangwon-do. In addition, this platform is expected to have a positive impact on improving the quality of landscaping plants, setting reasonable prices, and increasing domestic demand in Gangwon-do by providing opportunities for cultivation, promotion, and marketing education through producer support projects.

This study was carried out to obtain some fundamental informations for creation of a desirable green environment composed of endemic woody plants in Suwon city, Kyounggi-do, Korea by investigation of current status of landscape resources and assessment of their endemism. Investigated cites were largely divided into five regions, of which residential areas, park areas, educational facility areas, governmental office areas, and street areas. Survey on habits, quantity, planting properties and kinds of woody plants planted within this regions were accomplished. Three items for assessment such as nativeness, adaptability to urban environments, the scenic beauty of wooly plants planted were established. And baesd on these items, endemic ranks about investigated plants were assessed. Results obtained were as follows: 1. A total of 164 kinds and 19,089 individual trees of woody plants were grown within investigated regions. The first class among them showed less than 20% of total occupation, but exotic plants introduced amounted to 40%. 2. About 10 species of higher ranks occupied more than 50% of individual trees or 37 species done their 90%, which indicates that woody plants were skew planted. 3. Endemism level of Suwon city based on assessment items marked 44 point,, and showed a considerable loss of endemism and extremely low level in quality of green environment. 4. To create a desirable green environment in Suwon city, spread plantation of 120 species selected with excellant woody landscape plants is recommended and exotic plants were limited.

        춘천시의 조경식물의 식재와 이용 현황

        정진형,노희선,이기의,Jeong Jin-Hyung,Noh Hee-Sun,Lee Ki-Eui 한국조경학회 2004 韓國造景學會誌 Vol.32 No.4

This study was executed to find out how to improve the planting and use of landscaping plants in Chuncheon. The number of street trees was 17,877 in 2003. The major species of street trees were Ginkgo biloba(52.7%), Prunus sargentii(15.3%), Zelkova serrata(8.9%), Platanus occidentalis(7.3%). Salix babylonica and Platanus occidentalis were decreased, while Prunus sargentii and Zelkova serrata were increased. Salix babylonica is a good species for a lakeside city, but its seeds cause allergies to some people. Most of the trees have been removed in Chuncheon. The planting of Salix babylonica(♂) resulted in no problems, and it should be propagated to plant. The soil of several areas was analysed to investigate soil conditions. The outskirts of city had good conditions in pH, organic matter and minerals, but the downtown areas had high alkalic, due to alkali from footpath concrete blocks. Appropriate pruning adds to the aesthetic and prolongs the useful life; it also requires less managing of insects and diseases to maintain good healthy of street trees. Street trees were not properly pruned due to electric lines and shortage of pruning information. The pruning was controlled by Korea Electric Power Co, which has no pruning information. Pruning must be maintained by a professional landscape company to maintain good shape such as with Bonsai. The Shrubs planting zone between street trees and other trees, and preservation plates were established for healthy of street trees. They have to be repaired and maintained well to keep better environmental conditions. The number of tree and flower species of 68 schools in Chuncheon were 12 and 16, respectively. The species that showed high preference were Juniperus chinensis, Pinus koraiensis, Pinus densiflora, Rosa centifolia, Forsythia koreana, and Rhododendron schlippenbachii. The high frequency of the protection trees designated by Chuncheon were Pinus densiflora, Ginko biloba, Zelkova serrata, Quercus species. This study aims to understand the their characteristics and analyze the diverse landscape plants distributed in the traditional temples. We surveyed the landscape plants that the planting species around building and terraced flower bed, excluded the spontaneous species. The contents of analysis were form, leaf fall and type, exotic species and the Buddhist symbol plant. Mostly, the families of landscape plants that rosaceae, compositae and liliaceae were much used. The rosaceae were used in landscape planting, and compositae and liliaceae were used in terraced flower bed and flower garden. Especially, a single planting, a linear planting and symmetrical planting most occupied in the planting types. This reason seemed the object and function of religion. There were lots of trees and shrubs in the form, and they were main material for formation of landscape and frame. Therefore, the temple landscape was composed of landscape plants and planting types and fell into chime with these components. The deciduous broad leaved was many in the leaf fall and type. The aesthetic value is a deciduous broad leaved directed by the external features of nutrition and reproductive organs with plants and flowers, recording, leaves, fruits, and non-seasonal forms along with the variety of landscapes inspectors by providing visual variety, because expression. Exotic species were introduced intentionally, unintentionally for a variety of purposes in a foreign species, naturalized plants invasive species was the wild country to adapt to the environment. Exotic materials will have to be rejected unconditionally, but indiscriminate use of space in a traditional review of the planting material is necessary because of the high potential to inhibit and distort the traditional landscape. Buddhist symbol plant is a very important feature as plants that have the least Buddhist doctrine and has a meaning and a symbol representing the Buddhist, the inspectors can show the difference with other scenic areas.
