Fatigue life estimation by the theoretical stress concentration factors are, in general, considerably different from test results. And in calculating stress concentration factor, it is very difficult to consider actual geometry and material property which are the notch shapes, imperfections or defects of materials such as porosities inclusions and casting defects, etc. Therefore, the paper deals with the experimental method to find out the more exact stress concentration factors by measuring the strain distributions on each specimen by 3D-ESPI(Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry) System. Then the fatigue lives are compared between theoretical calculations using stress concentration factors determined by 3D-ESPI system and fatigue test results.

프랜차이즈 시스템의 발전 단계(development stage)에 따른 특성 연구

국내의 프랜차이즈 시스템 연구들은 대부분 프랜차이즈 기업들의 구조나 특징이 유사 혹은 동일한 것으로 간주하고 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 프랜차이즈 기업들은 각 발전 단계에 따라 이질적인 특성들로 분류될 수 있고 이렇게 분류된 프랜차이즈 기업들의 특성을 이해함으로써 각 단계의 특성에 따른 적절한 프랜차이즈 시스템 연구가 가능할 것이라고 생각된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내의 외식업 프랜차이즈 본부들이 발전 단계(development stage)에 따라 분류될 수 있으며, 단계별로 분류된 프랜차이즈 본부들이 지원전략, 성과, 소유구조에서 차이가 있음을 검증하고자 하였다. 2010년 말 현재 정보공개서를 통해 제시된 국내 외식업 프랜차이즈 본부 558개를 대상으로 연구한 결과, 프랜차이즈 본부가 도입, 성장, 성숙, 급성장, 변환의 5단계로 분류되었으며, 각 단계의 프랜차이즈 본부들은 10개의 변수(설립/가맹년수, 설립년수와 가맹년수의 차이, 점포/가맹점수, 매출/가맹점증가율, 가맹비율, 가맹점개설비용, 진출 지역의 수)들에 의해서 특징지어졌다. 또한, 분류된 5개의 단계들이 소유구조, 지원 및 성과에서 각각 다른 차이를 보이고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 앞으로의 프랜차이즈 연구를 진행하는데 있어서 프랜차이즈 본부들의 이질성을 이해하고 연구의 목적에 맞게 데이터를 활용하는 것이 필요함을 강조하였다. 또한, 프랜차이즈 본부가 가지고 있는 특성에 따라 위치하고 있는 단계가 다르므로 이를 통해 각 단계에 맞는 본부의 전략을 효율적으로 구사하는 것이 중요하고, 잠재적 가맹점 희망자의 경우도 원하는 프랜차이즈 본부의 특성에 따른 위치를 확인해봄으로써 효과적으로 가맹본부를 선택할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다.

코로나 위기에 대한 신화적·인문학적 성찰 : 〈손님굿〉 신화 속 질병신의 속성과 인간의 대응을 중심으로

이 논문은 한국 구전신화 〈손님굿〉에 대한 의미해석을 바탕으로 코로나 위기에 대한 신화적이고 인문학적인 성찰을 진행한 것이다. 〈손님굿〉에 형상화된 질병신의 속성이 코로나 바이러스와 통하고, 질병신에 대한 인물들의 대응과 그에 따른 결과가 코로나 상황에 유의미한 시사점을 준다는데 주목한 논의였다. 신화 특유의 원형적이고 철학적인 사유를 매개로하여 문명적 위기에 대한 거시적이고 본원적인 해법을 찾아보고자 했다. 〈손님굿〉은 오랜 세월 동안 인간을 괴롭힌 감염병 천연두에 대한 신화다. 신화는 질병을 일으키는 존재를 악귀가 아닌 영험한 손님 신으로 취급하며, 최대한의 정성과 존중으로써 질병 문제를 풀어내고자 한다. 질병의 발생을 거대한 생명적 체계의 일환으로 보는 가운데, 섭리에 순응함으로써 출구를 찾아내는 태도를 나타낸다. 인간 스스로를 세상의 미력한 존재로 인식하여 겸손을 유지하는 것은 질병신을 응대하는 기본 방식이 된다. 노고할미와 영순생 등은 그와 같은 대응을 통해 위기상황을 잘 감당하고 전화위복의 복락을 만들어낸다. 노고할미와 영순생의 맞은편에는 자기중심적 오만으로써 질병을 경시하고 함부로 대하는 인물들이 놓인다. 범람한 욕심으로 질병신을 범하려고한 뱃사공과 자만과 술수로 질병신을 냉대하고 농락하려 든 김장자가 그들이다. 그 결과는 참혹한 죽음이고 패가망신이었다. 세상의 정점에 있던 김장자는 하나뿐인 자식을 잃고 밑바닥으로 전락한다. 이들의 행태는 오늘날 코로나 바이러스에 대한 일각의 대응과 놀라운 의미적 일치를 나타낸다. 뱃사공은 ‘코로나 파티’를 벌인 젊은이들의 모습과 통하며, 김장자는 섣부른 교만과 허튼 미봉책으로 상황을 악화시킨 세계의 여러 지도자와 정확히 일치한다. 신화에서 노고할미와 김장자의 자리가 역전되었듯이, 현실세계에서도 그러한 역전이 펼쳐지고 있는 중이라고 보았다. 〈손님굿〉 신화에서 특별히 주목할 것은 질병과 인간의 생명적 동질성과 순환적 공존에 대한 사유다. 천연두로 희생된 아이가 새로운 손님신이되는 내용은 인간과 질병의 생명적 연관성을 잘 보여준다. 질병신들은 인간처럼 움직이며, 사람들은 질병신을 또 다른 자기나 이웃으로 여기고서 긴밀히 교감하며 소통한다. 질병신을 위한 굿과 놀이에서 사람들이 다함께 즐기면서 하나가 되는 것은 질병과 인간의 상호적 교감과 치유 과정에 해당한다. 거시적인 생명적 존엄성과 공존성을 기본 가치로 삼는 그 행위는 현재의 코로나 위기에서 인류가 찾아서 발현해야 할 인문적 비전을 보여준다. 코로나 위기에서 우리가 완수해야 할 중대한 인문적 과제는 심리적으로 무너지지 않고 초극의 힘을 발휘하는 일이다. 공격이 아닌 협력, 불신이 아닌 믿음, 배타적 욕망이 아닌 공생의 윤리로써 상황을 헤쳐내야 한다. 그 초극의 힘을 어떻게 발현할 것인가에 대해서 신화는 우리에게 소중한 깨우침을 전하고 있다. 문명 이전 시절로부터 이어져온 문학적·철학적 사유로부터 문명적 위기를 극복하는 길을 찾는 지혜가 필요하다. This Essay is a mythological and humanistic reflection on the COVID-19 crisis based on an interpretation of the Korean oral myth Sonnim-gut (ritual for the smallpox god). It was noted that the nature of the disease god in the myth is similar to COVID-19, and the responses of the characters of the disease scene give meaningful implications to the COVID-19 crisis. Through the philosophical thinking contained in the myth, I tried to find a fundamental solution to the crisis in our civilization. Sonnim-gut is a myth about smallpox, an infectious disease that has plagued humans over a long period of time. The myth treats diseases as a spiritual guest god, not a demon. It then tries to solve the problem with the utmost sincerity and respect. While seeing the occurrence of diseases as a function of a huge life system, people try to comply with providence. They consider themselves to be weak and maintain humility as their basic attitude toward sickness. Some characters in the myth use such an attitude to create reversal success and happiness. Opposite the characters, there are people who neglect diseases with a self-centered attitude. They are the boatman who tried to invade a disease goddess with overflowing desire, and the rich man who tried to joke around the disease gods with pride and trickery. The result was a terrible death and disgrace. The rich man at the top of the world loses his child and falls to the bottom. Their behavior remarkably matches some of the responses to COVID-19 today. The boatman connects with the appearance of young people having a “corona party,” while the rich match with the world’s leaders who have exacerbated the situation with pride. If that method is not qualitatively changed, it can lead to decisive decline. Of particular note the Sonnim-gut is thought of as the vital cycle between diseases and humans. In the story, a child who is sacrificed by smallpox becomes a new disease god, which shows the vital link between humans and diseases. The disease gods act like humans, and people regard the disease gods as neighbors and communicate closely. In rituals and plays for the diseased gods, the gods and people mingle and enjoy, which is a mutual healing process between humans and diseases. The vital dignity and coexistence contained therein become the human values that humanity must realize in today’s COVID-19 crisis. Humanity’s task in the COVID-19 crisis is to demonstrate the power of overcoming without psychologically collapsing. We must overcome the situation with cooperation not an attack, faith not disbelief, and symbiotic ethics not exclusive desire. Mythology gives us valuable enlightenment on how to realize the power. We need wisdom to find a way to overcome the crisis of civilization from the literary philosophical thinking that has been passed down from pre-civilization days.
