      • 노인주야간보호센터 요양보호사의 역할스트레스와 우울이 직무만족에 미치는 영향 : 사회적 지지의 조절효과

        본 연구는 노인주야간보호센터 요양보호사의 역할스트레스와 우울 인식이 직무만족에 미치는 정도를 설명하기 위해, 그 과정에서 사회적 지지의 조절효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구의 정책적 함의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국민건강보험공단에서는 요양보호사 처우 개선과 관련하여 현재 시행되고 있는 처우 개선비는 장기근속수당의 형태로서 급여형태로 지급되고 있으나 처우 개선비는 장기요양 수가 외 별도로 지급되어야 할 것이다. 또한, 향후 장기요양급여 수가 인상이나 요양보호사 급여에 반영하여 정책적으로 개선하는 것이 바람직하다고 사료된다. 둘째, 역할스트레스의 하위요소로서 역할 관련 문항을 조사하였으며, 요양보호사를 대상으로 하는 별도의 휴게 휴식의 공간 등과 같은 복리후생 시설에 대한 보완은 요양보호사가 근무 중 직무환경을 편안하고 쾌적하게 만듦으로써 본인에 대한 안정감은 결국에는 수급자인 노인들에 대한 서비스의 질을 높일 수 있다. 본 연구의 실천적 함의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다양한 직군이 근무하는 업무환경 중에서 요양보호사의 역할을 규정하고, 과부하가 발생치 않도록 하는 관리를 통해 요양보호사의 권리를 강화해야 한다. 둘째, 업무의 혼란, 과부하 등의 업무환경 중 동료 간의 마찰, 감정, 불신 등으로 서로 신뢰하지 못하여 역할스트레스와 우울이 발생하곤 한다. 기관이나 시설에서는 상담 시에는 고젓 관련 기록의 일지를 작성하여야 하고, 피드백을 통하여 요양보호사들 간의 중재자 역할도 감당해야 한다. 또한, 정기적인 단합대회 진행도 필요하고, 모두가 참여하는 다양한 친목의 프로그램을 개발하는 것이 좋다. 셋째, 역할스트레스 및 우울이 발생하는 요인 중에서 시설장, 상사, 동료와의 불화는 업무적인 지시, 공정성의 문제, 해결능력의 부족 등에서 요인이 가중되고 있으므로 시설장 또는 관리운영 분야의 책임자는 요양보호사와의 또는 요양보호사 간의 의사소통을 주기적인 상담과정을 통해 소통해 나가야 한다. 또한, 시설장 및 관리운영의 책임자급에 대한 리더십 교육을 통하여 불화방지를 위해 노력해야 한다. The purpose of this study was to explain the influence of role stress and depression perceived by care workers in senior daycare centers on their own job satisfaction by verifying the moderation effects of social support in that process. And this study proved that role stress and depression increased job satisfaction through the moderation of social support. The policy suggestions of the study are as follows: First, the cost for the improvement of treatment for care workers that is currently provided is offered by the National Health Insurance Service as part of pay in the form of allowance for long service, but that should be provided separately, not as a fee for long-term care. In addition, it seems advisable to improve the related policy by reflecting the necessity of it to raise the fee for long-term care and pay for care workers. Second, role-related items were used as a subfactor of role stress to make an investigation. As for supplement of welfare benefit facilities for care workers such as a lounge or rest area, care workers can feel stable about themselves if their work environments are made to be comfortable and pleasant, and it can, in turn, improve the quality of services for elderly people who are recipients. Accordingly, it s needed to make the installation of a separate rest place obligatory by law so that care workers could get rest even for a moment during their nonwork hours. Third, care workers in long-term care facilities where senior citizens dwell spend a lot of time with them or their caregivers due to the characteristics of their job, and job conflicts and role stress take place under the circumstances. To relieve such role conflicts and role stress, training and education should be provided for them to build good relationships with recipients and caregivers to reduce what causes stress and depression. In addition, cooperation from recipients and caregivers is necessary to help care workers maintain their identity as care helpers, not as home helpers. To make it happen, the National Health Insurance Service and other institutions should make a sustained effort to improve the way of looking at care workers by formulating an effective policy or by publicity. The practical suggestions of the study are as follows: First, the role of care workers should be defined in today s job environments where there are a wide variety of occupational groups, and they should be well managed to avoid overload to reinforce their rights. As stress and depression are attributed to job characteristics like long-time work and shortage of rest spaces for a short break among work environments, not only support from supervisors and colleagues but also emotional support from families and recipients are all necessary, and superintendents should intervene directly and serve as mentors through counseling and case management to relieve the causes of stress and depression. Second, another cause for role stress and depression is lack of mutual trust that is ascribed to friction and negative feelings in work environments that involve confusion of work and overload. Institutions should keep a journal about grievance during counseling, offer feedback and even fulfill the role of mediator between care workers. Besides, regular retreat is required, and it s advisable to develop various socializing programs in which everybody can participate. Third, discord with superintendents, supervisors or colleagues that is also one of the causes for role stress and depression stems from improper directions, unfairness or poor solving skills. Superintendents or people responsible for management should offer regular counseling to communicate with care workers and facilitate mutual communication among them. Finally, leadership education should be provided for these people in charge to prevent any possible discord.

        The Roles of Critical Care Advanced Practice Nurse

        Purpose. To determine and compare the perception among nurses and doctors of the roles and tasks of critical care advanced practice nurses (APNs) in order to establish standardized and formally agreed role criteria for such critical care APNs. Method. This study measured and analyzed the necessity of each of the roles and tasks of critical care APNs, as perceived by nurses and doctors, through a survey of 121 participants: 71 nurses in 7 intensive care units (ICUs) at a general hospital in Seoul, and 50 doctors who used ICUs. Data collection utilized a questionnaire of 128 questions in the following fields: direct practice (79), leadership and change agent (17), consultation and collaboration (15), education and counseling (11), and research (6). Results. Both the nurses' and the doctors' groups confirmed the necessity of critical care APNs, with doctors who frequently used ICUs indicating a particularly strong need. As for the priority of each role of critical care APNs, the nurses considered direct practice to be the most critical, followed by education and counseling, research, consultation and collaboration, and leadership and change agent. The doctors also considered direct practice to be the most critical, followed by education and counseling, consultation and collaboration, research, and leadership and change agent. There was a statistically significant difference between how the two groups regarded all the roles, except for the consultation and collaboration roles. As for the necessity of each role of critical care APNs, the nurses considered research to be the most necessary, followed by education and counseling, consultation and collaboration, leadership and change agent, and direct practice. The doctors, on the other hand, considered education and counseling to be the most necessary, followed by research, consultation and collaboration, leadership and change agent, and direct practice. The responses of the two groups to all the roles, except for education and counseling roles, were significantly different. Conclusion. Nurses and doctors have different perceptions of the roles and tasks of critical care APNs. Thus, it is necessary for the combined nursing and medical fields to reach an official agreement on a set of criteria to standardize for the roles and tasks of critical care APNs.

        주임교사의 역할기대와 역할수행에 대한 보육교사의 인식

        The purpose of this study was to examine child care teachers` perceptions on the role expectation and role performance of head teachers and the difference between their perceptions on role expectation and role performance. The subjects were 271 child care teachers who worked in child care centers located in Seoul. The instrument which consisted of 6 different head teachers` roles was used in order to measure child care teachers` perceptions on head teachers` roles. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive data analysis, t-test, and ANOVA. The result of this study showed that child care teachers had higher expectation on head teachers` financial and general affair management roles and they perceived that head teachers are more likely to perform child care administration roles. The result also indicated that there were differences between child care teachers` perceptions on role expectation and role performance of head teachers.

        보육시설 주임교사의 역할수행과 역할갈등과의 관계

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of head teachers' role performance and role conflict in child-care centers. The subjects were 167 head teachers who worked at child-care centers in Korea. They were asked by using the survey instruments about teachers' role performance including 6 types of role performance and teachers' role conflict including 5 types of role conflict. The data were analyzed by descriptive data analysis, ANOVA and post-hoc (LSD), and Pearson r using PASW 17.0. The results of this study indicated that the head teachers were more likely to perform 'child-care administration role' among the 6 types of role performance and to have 'role conflict' among the 5 types of role conflict. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences in head teachers' role performance in terms of their teaching experience, educational experience, type of child-care center, and class age, and in head teachers' role conflict in terms of their age, type of child-care center, and class age. Finally, the results showed that there were statistically negative relationships between head teachers' role performance and role conflict. 본 연구의 목적은 보육시설 주임교사의 역할수행과 역할갈등의 정도를 알아보고 주임교사 역할수행과 역할갈등과의 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 보육시설에 근무하는 주임교사 167명이며, 연구도구는 유치원 원감의 역할수행과 역할갈등을 조사한 설문지를 보육시설에 맞도록 수정·보완·삭제하여 사용하였다. 자료분석은 기술통계 분석을 통하여 주임교사의 역할수행과 역할갈등의 정도를 분석하였고, 주임교사의 일반적 배경에 따른 역할수행과 역할갈등의 차이를 밝히기 위해 일원변량분석 및 사후검증을 위한 LSD검증을 실시하였다. 주임교사의 역할수행과 역할갈등의 상관관계는 Pearson r을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 주임교사는 역할수행의 6개 하위요인 중 ‘보육시설 운영관리’에 대한 역할수행 정도가 가장 높았으며 주임교사의 일반적 배경 중 보육교사 경력, 학력, 시설유형, 담당학급 유아연령에 따른 역할수행 정도의 차이가 있었다. 또한 주임교사 역할갈등의 5개 하위요인 중 ‘역할갈등’으로 인한 역할갈등의 정도가 가장 높았으며 주임교사의 일반적 배경 중 연령, 시설유형, 담당학급 유아연령에 따른 역할갈등 정도의 차이가 있었다. 주임교사의 역할수행과 역할갈등은 전체 하위영역 간에 부적 상관을 보였다.

        보육교사의 조직커뮤니케이션과 심리적 소진이 역할수행에 미치는 영향

        This study was aimed at examining the impact of child care teachers on organizational communication and psychological exhaustion in their role. The study is conducted in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Incheon. The analysis was based on data conducted on 360 child care teachers working in national and public child-care facility and company chil-care facility. Using SPSS 25.0 for the study was subjected to t-verific ation, one-member dispersion analysis, correlation analysis of Pearson, medium-poly- gression analysis. The results of this study first showed no significant difference in the age, career, position, qualification of child care teachers, and class age of child, although the difference in role performance due to the socio-demographic changes of the national and public child care facility was higher than in the company child care facility. Second, the organizational communication of child care teachers was a psychological exhaustion and amulet correlation, and there was a significant static correlation between role-playing. It was found that there was an amulet between the psychological exhaustion of child care teachers and the role of the child care teacher. Third, the influence of child care teachers in the role of child care teachers was found in order of communication skills and satisfaction, and psychological exhaustion was not influential in the role. As a result of this study, it can be useful as a basis for improving the effective role of child care teachers. 본 연구는 보육교사의 조직커뮤니케이션과 심리적 소진이 역할수행에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 함을 목적으로 하였다. 연구대상은 서울· 경기· 인천지역의 국공립어린이집과 직장어린이집에 근무하고 있는 보육교사 360명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 연구를 위하여 SPSS 25.0을 이용하여 t-검증, 일원분산분석, Pearson의 상관분석, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에 대한 결과는 첫째, 보육교사의 사회 인구학적 변인에 따른 역할수행의 차이는 국공립어린이집 보육교사가 직장어린이집 보육교사보다 높았으나 보육교사의 연령, 학력, 경력, 시설유형, 학급연령, 직위, 자격유형에는 유의미한 차이는 보이지 않았다. 둘째, 보육교사의 조직커뮤니케이션은 심리적 소진과 부적 상관관계가 있었으며, 역할수행 간에는 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 보육교사의 심리적 소진과 역할수행 간에는 부적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보육교사의 역할수행에 대한 영향력은 커뮤니케이션 능력, 만족 순으로 나타났으며, 심리적 소진은 역할수행에 영향력이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과로 어린이집 교사의 효과적인 역할수행 개선을 위한 기초자료로 유용하게 활용될 수 있는데 의미가 있다.

      • 국내 요양병원 간호사의 직무 역할

        Purpose : The purpose of this qualitative study was to identify the detailed job roles of nurses working in long term care hospitals in Korea. Methods : Data were collected using individual in-depth interviews and analysed with a content analysis method. Participants were 11 nurses working more than one year in long term care hospitals. Results : A total of 4 categories, 33 subcategories, and 105 codes were generated from 465 meaningful statements (job roles). Then, 33 subcategories were classified into 4 categories (nursing roles, nursing roles/physician’s roles, physician’s roles and nursing staff roles). Among 105 of the long-term care hospital nurse job roles, thirty-eight(36.2%) was nursing role, eleven(10.5%) were nursing or physician’s roles, twenty- five(23.8%) were physician’s roles and thirty-one(29.5%) were nursing staff roles. In addition to pure nursing work, other roles also showed an high rate(63.8%). Conclusion : Guidelines for the job roles of nurses in long-term care hospitals, as well as appropriate qualifications and compensation standards, must be established.

        여성의 노부모 보살핌 경험에 관한 연구

        This paper starts from the question, how the women who offered care labor for their aged parents interpret and give meaning to their experiences. The elderly care in Korean family has been regarded as the gender role embedded in the cultural context of the Confucian filial duty and thus the government has ignored the issue in the public sphere. But the recent increase of the aged people and working women and the visualization of elder abuse stimulated the necessity of the institutionalization of elderly care. Nevertheless, the family and especially women are not free from the responsibility for the elders. This research inquires into the women’s experiences through the in-depth interviews with the women who cared for elderly parents as daughters or as daughters-in-law. The interviewees were 10 people living in Seoul. Each participant had two or three interviews, for one or two hours per each interview. Their ages are various from the forties to the seventies. The reason why there was no age restriction on interviewees was because this research was interested in any possible change resulting from age difference in the care of elderly parents. According to the result of the research, daughters-in-law's responsibility for parents-in-law in the paternal family tends to have lessened relatively compared with the past. Nevertheless,they still feel that they are responsible for the care of the parents-in-law. Meanwhile, the research shows that the daughters who live with their elderly parents or have intimate relationship with them care for them from their own hearts. Nonetheless, the care for elderly parents was physically, mentally, and emotionally hard work. Women quit the job and experienced the cutting of the career because of the care for elderly parents. Even though women played the multiple roles such as housewives and mothers, their husbands did not support them. Since the elderly care is regarded as the troublesome, odd jobs, and the gendered role, women’s self-esteem was depreciated. Meanwhile, women understood the fact that aging and dying is the course of life through their care for their parents and accepted their time with elderly parents as the precious opportunity to feel empathy with them. The value of elderly care has been ignored in the feminist discourses. But the revaluation of elderly care services will be helpful as women's issue. Despite the institutionalization of elderly care, women's care for elderly parents does not decrease due to distrust of institution and the prejudice that the care of elderly parents are women's job. The idea that the care for elderly parents within family boundary is filial duty fixes women's role and hampers the institutionalization of elderly care. In order not to alienate Women's care for elderly parents, society should encourage men's participation and their emotional and physical support for elderly care. The institutionalization of elderly care in the public sphere should also reduce the economic burden and support the reliable elderly care. 본 논문은 여성들이 가족 내에서 노부모를 보살핀 경험을 어떻게 해석하고 의미를 부여하는가에서 출발한다. 한국에서 노인보살핌은 유교 효문화의 맥락에서 가족 내의 여성의 역할로서 인식되어 왔고 국가는 방임적인 자세를 취해 왔다. 현재 노인인구의 증가와 취업여성의 증가, 노인학대의 가시화 등으로 인해 노인보살핌의 제도화가 진행되고 있지만 가족, 특히 여성들은 노부모를 책임져야 한다는 의식에서 자유롭지 못하다. 이 연구는 며느리와 딸의 위치에서 노부모를 보살핀 여성들에게 심층면접을 실시함으로써 여성들의 경험을 살펴보았다. 심층면접은 현재 서울에 거주하는 10명의 연구참여자에게 2-3차에 걸쳐, 1회에 1-2시간씩 실시되었다. 연구참여자들의 연령은 40대-70대까지 다양하다. 연령을 제한하지 않은 이유는 연령간의 차이를 통해 노인보살핌의 책임에 대한 시대적 변화를 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 연구결과, 부계가족 내에서 시부모에 대한 며느리의 책임은 과거보다 줄어든 경향이 있지만, 여전히 며느리들은 의무감을 갖고 있었다. 반면에 친정과의 친밀한 관계를 유지하거나 부모와 함께 사는 딸들은, 부모에 대한 연민과 사랑으로 적극적으로 보살핌을 하고 있었다. 하지만 노인보살핌은 정서적, 신체적, 정신적으로 힘든 노동이었다. 여성들은 노부모를 보살피기 위해 직장을 그만두거나 경력 단절을 경험한다. 여성들은 가족 내에서 아내, 어머니 등의 다중적인 역할에도 불구하고 남편의 도움을 받지 못했다. 이와 같이, 노인보살핌은 여성의 역할로 인식되고 있었기 때문에 여성들은 자존감이 저하되었다. 반면에, 여성들은 노부모 보살핌을 통해서 나이듦과 죽음을 삶의 과정으로 수용하고, 아픈 노부모와 교감하면서 시간을 함께 보낼 수 있다고 해석한다. 노인보살핌의 가치는 여성주의의 논의에서 간과되어 왔지만, 가치의 재평가는 여성문제로서 노인보살핌을 해결하는 데에 도움이 된다. 노인보살핌의 제도화에도 불구하고, 시설과 유급노동자에 대한 불신과 노부모를 직접 보살피는 것이 효도라는 통념은 여성들의 부담을 경감시키지 못하고 있다. 가족의 틀 안에서만 노부모를 보살피는 것이 최선이라는 사고는 제도적 지원의 의미를 변형시키고 여성들의 역할을 고정시킨다. 노부모 보살핌이 여성들의소외된 노동이 되지 않기 위해서는 가족과 사회의 차원에서 정서적 지원과 남성들의 참여를 권장하는 한편, 제도적 차원에서 경제적 부담을 경감시키고 신뢰할만한 대체인력을 지원해야 한다.

      • 간호사 역할과 간호교육의 패러다임 전환 : 커뮤니티 케어 중심으로

        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to clarify the concept of community care, community care policy and delivery system, community care model and role of nurse, community care and nursing education in order to prepare competent nurses for community care. Methods : The research methods were reviewing literatures focused on the main words such as ‘role of nurse’, ‘nursing education’ and ‘community care’. Results : Population aging and change in the health care environment ask different roles for nurses. In particular, community care policies to help and maintain healthy aging in older people’s homes provide opportunities to expand the role of nurses. In order to promote effective Korean community care, a strategy for securing the health care workforce should be established and competent professionals should be appropriately placed. Therefore, universities should innovate and shift the paradigm on nursing education in order to prepare nurses capable of carrying out community-based care. Conclusion : The results of this study can be used as a basis for constructing curriculum for nurse competency development for community care and setting direction of nursing education for community care.

        장애아 돌보미의 장애인에 대한 태도 및 돌보미 역할에 대한 인식

        본 연구는 장애아 돌보미의 장애인에 대한 태도 및 돌보미 역할에 대한 인식을 알아보기 위하여, 장애아 돌보미 서비스를 운영하고 있는 전국 17개 시․도의 사업운영기관 중 한곳을 제외한 16개 기관에 소속된 장애아 돌보미를 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구에는 장애아 돌보미로 새롭게 신청한 신규 장애아 돌보미 151명과 장애아 돌보미로 활동하고 있는 현행 장애아 돌보미 162명으로, 총 313명이 참여하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 신규 돌보미와 현행 돌보미의 장애인에 대한 태도는 중간 수준을 보여주었는데, 신규 돌보미보다도 현행 돌보미의 장애인에 대한 태도가 보다 부정적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 돌보미의 성별, 종교유무는 장애인에 대한 태도에 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 연령, 교육정도, 가정 월소득은 유의미한 결과를 나타내었다. 셋째, 돌보미 신청 전 장애아 돌봄에 대한 경험 유무와 돌보미 활동 기간은 장애인에 대한 태도에 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 장애를 지닌 가족이나 지인 유무와 관련해서는 유의미한 결과를 나타내었다. 마지막으로, 장애아 돌보미 역할에 대한 인식으로, 장애아 돌보미 신청 전 장애아 돌봄에 대한 경험 내용, 장애아 돌보미의 가장 실제적 역할, 장애아 돌보미의 가장 중요한 역할, 장애아 돌보미 활동을 통한 이점, 장애아 가족과의 관계에서 가장 염려되는 부분, 장애아 돌보미 교육에서 가장 필요하다고 생각되는 교육 내용, 그리고 장애아 돌보미로서의 요구를 중심으로 살펴보았다. The purpose of the study was to investigate the attitude of care-assistants toward children with disabilities and their perception on the care of the children. Among 17 organizations managing the care-assistants, 16 of them participated in the study. Thus, 151 new care-assistants and 162 current care-assistants participated, so the total number of the participants were 313.As the results of the study, first, the attitude score of the new and current care-assistants was about the medium level, but the attitude of the current care-assistants was more negative than that of the new care-assistants. Second, sex and religion of the care-assistants were not statistically significant with the attitude toward children with disabilities, but age, level of education, and family income were statistically significant with the attitude toward children with disabilities. Third, the previous experience on caring children with disabilities and the period as a care-assistants were not statistically significant, but the existence of family members or acquaintances were statistically significant with the attitude toward children with disabilities Finally, the perception on caring children with disabilities were investigated based on the previous experience on caring children with disabilities, the roles of the care-assistants, the most important role of the care-assistants, the contents of education or training for the care-assistants, and the needs of the care-assistants.

        호스피스・완화의료 환경에서 작업치료사의 역할과 인식 및 지식에 대한 조사 연구

        목적 : 본 연구는 호스피스·완화의료 환경에서 작업치료사의 역할과 인식 및 지식을 확인하고 호스피스·완화의료 작업 치료에 대한 기초자료를 수립하고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 연구 참여에 동의한 전국의 작업치료사 200명을 대상으로 하였다. 온라인 설문지를 통하여 설문 조사를 실시하였으며, 설문 문항은 총 41문항으로 일반적 특성 6문항, 호스피스·완화의료 작업치료사 역할 관련 10 문항, 호스피스·완화의료 지식측정 20문항, 호스피스·완화의료 작업치료에 대한 인식 5문항으로 구성되었다. 일반적 특성과 호스피스·완화의료 환경에서의 작업치료사의 역할에 대해 기술통계를 사용하였으며, 일반적 특성에 따른 호 스피스·완화의료 지식측정의 차이를 파악하기 위해 Mann-Whitney 검정과 Kruskal-Wallis 검정을 실시하였다. 그 리고 호스피스·완화의료에 대한 인식이 호스피스·완화의료 지식에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 : 호스피스·완화의료 작업치료사의 역할에 대한 우선순위는 죽음에 대한 준비, 통증 예방과 감소, 삶의 질 순서로 높았다. 호스피스·완화의료에 대한 전반적인 인식에 대해서는 낮았고 호스피스·완화의료 작업치료와 교육과정에 대 한 필요성은 높았다. 연구 대상자들의 일반적 특성에 따른 호스피스·완화의료 지식에 대한 비교분석에서 유의한 차 이를 보이지 않았다(p>.05). 또한 호스피스·완화의료에 대한 인식이 지식에 미치는 영향은 나타나지 않았다(p>.05). 결론 : 국내 작업치료사들의 호스피스·완화의료 작업치료에 대한 견해 및 수준을 확인할 수 있었다. 향후에는 호스피스· 완화의료 작업치료에 대한 교육과정 개발 및 관련 연구가 진행될 필요가 있다. Objective : In this study, we tried to establish the basic data of occupational therapy in hospice and palliative care by confirming the role, awareness and knowledge of occupational therapists in the environment of hospice and palliative care. Methods : This study was conducted with 200 occupational therapists from all over the country who agreed to participate in the study. The survey was conducted through an online questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of a total of 41 questions, including 6 general characteristics, 10 questions related to the role of occupational therapist in hospice·palliative care, 20 questions on knowledge measurement of hospice·palliative care, and 5 questions on perception of occupational therapy in hospice·palliative care . Descriptive statistics were used for the general characteristics and priority, frequency, and proportion of occupational therapy roles in hospice and palliative care. Independent sample T-test and Kruskal-Wallis test were performed to understand the difference in hospice and palliative care knowledge measurement according to general characteristics. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to confirm the effect of perception of hospice and palliative care on knowledge of hospice and palliative care. Results : The priority for the role of occupational therapists in hospice and palliative care was high in the order of prepare for death, pain prevention and reduction, and quality of life. Overall awareness of hospice and palliative care was low, and the need and curriculum for occupational therapy in hospice and palliative care were high. Comparative analysis of hospice and palliative care knowledge according to general characteristics of occupational therapists did not show any significant difference. Conclusion : Through this study, it was possible to confirm the opinion and level of occupational therapy in hospice and palliative care of domestic occupational therapists. In the future, it is necessary to develop a curriculum for hospice and palliative care occupational therapy and to conduct related research.
