吳組緗 단편소설의 여성문제 표현 양상 연구― 《菉竹山房》과 《金小姐与雪姑娘》을 중심으로

吴组缃은 1930년대 초반에 여성문제에 크게 관심을 가지고 주목하며 당시 여성들의 생활과 운명을 작품 속에서 표현해 왔다. 그는 작품 속에서 전통적 가부장제와 봉건예교의 여성에 대한 속박을 폭로했을 뿐만 아니라, 현대의 지식인 여성들이 겪어야만 했던 가정과 학업(혹은 직업) 사이의 딜레마, 그리고 새로운 여성 해방 사상과 전통적 정조관 사이의 갈등 등 다방면에 걸쳐 여성의 생활에 관해 서술하였다. 본고에서는 吴组缃의 단편소설 중 전통적 대가정 속의 규수의 인생을 묘사한 《菉竹山房》과 신식 교육을 받은 지식인 여성들의 생활을 다룬 《金小姐与雪姑娘》을 중심으로 吴组缃의 여성문제에 관한 고찰이 그의 작품 속에 어떻게 표현되었는지, 또한 이들 작품은 어떠한 한계점을 가지고 있는지 살펴보고자 한다. During early 1930s, Wu Zu-xiang was deeply concerned about women’s issues and had been describing the lives and fates of women of the time in his works. In addition to disclosing the restraints put on the women under traditional patriarchy and feudal ethics, he depicted various aspects of women’s life in his works including modern intellectual women’s dilemma between the household and academic (or career) values, and the conflict between emerging women’s liberation ideology and conventional sense of virtue. In this paper, among Wu Zu-xiang’s short novels, I will mainly focus on Green bamboo Hermitage which portrays the life of a young lady inside a traditional extended family and Miss Jin and the Xue Girl that shows the lifestyle of modern-educated intellectual women, to examine how his concern over the women’s issues is expressed and what are the limitations of these pieces.
