Vol.20 No.2

Wireless sensor network(WSN) has the potential to greatly effect many aspects of u-healthcare. By outfitting the potential with WSN, wearable sensor node can collects real-time data on physiological status and transmits through base station to server PC. However, there is a significant gap between WSN and healthcare. WSN has the limited resource about computing capability and data transmission according to bio-sensor sampling rates and channels to apply healthcare system. If a wearable node transmits ECG and accelerometer data of 4 channel sampled at 100 Hz, these data may occur high loss packets for transmitting human activity and ECG to server PC. Therefore current wearable sensor nodes have to solve above mentioned problems to be suited for u-healthcare system. Most WSN based activity and ECG monitoring system have been implemented some algorithms which are applied for signal vector magnitude(SVM) algorithm and ECG noise algorithm in server PC. In this paper, A wearable sensor node using integrated ECG and 3-axial accelerometer based on wireless sensor network is designed and developed. It can form multi-hop network with relay nodes to extend network range in WSN. Our wearable nodes can transmit 1-channel activity data processed activity classification data vector using SVM algorithm to 3-channel accelerometer data. ECG signals are contaminated with high frequency noise such as power line interference and muscle artifact. Our wearable sensor nodes can remove high frequency noise to clear original ECG signal for healthcare monitoring.

        Jin-Tae Park,Hyun-Seo Hwang,Il-Young Moon 한국정보통신학회 2014 2016 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE Vol.6 No.1

Technology improvements and the advent of smart devices have led to the development of smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs. Further, in recent years, wearable devices have gained considerable research attention. In addition, the increasing interest in the field of healthcare has resulted in an increase in the research and development of wearable devices associated with healthcare. Wearable devices that are incorporated into clothes and accessories allow individuals the free use of their hands. The basic concept of these devices-a device that can be worn instead of being carried-supplements the intellectual capacity of a human; therefore, in this paper, we aim to implement a computing environment for large-scale equipment based on these devices. In order to respond to user needs in real time, it is necessary to develop wearable devices that ensure the user’s safety. Further, to reduce the discomfort of using multiple devices, wearable devices should be compatible with other devices so that only a single device is used. Therefore, in this paper, we combined a smart TV, a wearable smart band, and a smartphone to enable the user to effectively store physical information; moreover, we developed a system to manage this information.

Vol.6 No.1

In this study, we propose an analytical tool to verify the exercise effectiveness of healthcare VR games. Recently, the healthcare-related game market has been rapidly developing into a wearable, non-face-to-face home training method. Wearable devices are being researched in various healthcare fields along with VR game contents. In particular, it is possible to develop content that is suitable for certain vulnerable groups, such as those who have difficulty walking or are reluctant to go outside. However, there is a need for analytical tools to address the question of whether VR games for healthcare have a real exercise effect. Therefore, we aim to prove the exercise effectiveness by comparing and analyzing the 12 movements of Korean gymnastics, which represent the most common movements, and drawing meaningful results. Based on the 12 movements of national gymnastics, we analyze the characteristics of physical activity for four VR games and propose evaluation factors. This will serve as an opportunity to recognize that eSports is a real-life sport that can fully reproduce the exercise effect as a physical activity. It is also meaningful as a guide for the production of wearable healthcare game contents in the future.

Vol.15 No.6

The advent of personal healthcare record(PHR) technology has been changing the uses as well as the paradigm of internet services, and emphasizing the importance of services being personalization. But the problem of user's privacy infringement and leaking user's sensitive medical information is increasing with the fusion of PHR technology and healthcare. In this paper, we propose a security labeling scheme for privacy protection in PHR system. In the proposed scheme, PHR data can be labeled also manually based on patient's request or the security labelling rules. The proposed scheme can be used to control access, specify protective measures, and determine additional handling restrictions required by a communications security policy.
