        「불씨잡변」초간본의 서지적 연구

오용섭 한국서지학회 2006 서지학연구 Vol.33 No.-

The Bulsijabbyon(佛氏雜辯) was written by Jeong Dojeon(鄭道傳) in 1398. The purpose of his writing was to emphasize the superiority of Sung Confucianism to repress Buddhism. Since he was executed for treason only after a few months of its completion, the manuscript disappeared. In 1458, Yoon Gigyoun(尹起) who obtained the manuscript from Hanhyouk(韓) in 1456, published the first edition of the Bulsijabbyon in Yangyang. This first edition of the Bulsijabbyoun(佛氏雜辯) is currently held at the East Asian Library of U.C. Berkeley. The examination of this copy brought up several new facts as follows: First, 'Byoun(辨)' of the title was derived from 'Hobyoun(好辯)' of Mencius doctrines. Therefore the title must be the Bulsijabbyoun(佛氏雜辯). Second, it is assumed that Yangyang must be another name for Yecheon(醴泉), when the official posts held by Yoon Gigyoun(尹起) and his assistants are taken into consideration. Third, its printing blocks must have been burn down by Japanese soldiers during Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1593. Fourth, the Bulsijabbyoun(佛氏雜辯) was included in various chapters of different editions of Sambongjib(三峯集), so that there has been much confusion. Fifth, the Bulsijabbyoun included in the Sambongjib(三峯集) (1791), was more precisely proofread than the same text included in the Sambongseonsaengjib(三峯先生集) (1465).
