Recently, a hyaluronic acid micro needle patch for therapeutic and cosmetic purposes has been used by attaching directly to the skin with a pattern having a micro needle shape of 1/3 thickness of hair. These products are attracting attention as an innovative product that maximizes the effect by activating the active ingredient in the skin in the deep skin without blocking the horny layer because the micro needle shape exists on the patch surface so that it can penetrate effectively to the skin. Currently, DAB (droplet air blowing) or MEMS technology is used to make pattern shapes for patches. Because of this technology, manufacturing time is long and manufacturing cost is high, so we tried to develop the mold technology to machine the microneedle shape directly to the metal. In this study, we first fabricated a needle pattern with a quadrangular pyramid shape and finally produced a conical needle pattern.
초고속 카메라를 이용한 스페클 패턴 기반 미소 진동 분석

In this study, we present a method for measuring small amplitude vibrations using a high-speed camera. We project a laser onto an object to generate a speckle pattern that is then magnified using a lens and analyzed using a steerable pyramid. This vibration measurement method allows us to separate and measure vibrations based on the direction of the image. We demonstrated the effectiveness of our method by comparing it with traditional methods that do not generate a speckle pattern. Furthermore, we confirmed the validity of our methodology through frequency comparison experiments with a piezo accelerometer that is commonly used for vibration measurements. This novel approach to vibration measurement methodology can significantly advance research in this field.
Development of Composite Micro-Patterns on Polymer Film using Repetitive Ultrasonic Imprinting

Ultrasonic imprinting is a novel process in which micro-patterns can be replicated on thermoplastic polymer with short processing time and low energy consumption. Ultrasonic imprinting uses ultrasonic vibration energy to soften thermoplastic polymer, and to replicate micro-patterns on the softened polymer surface from a patterned horn or mold. In this study, a new patterning method based on ultrasonic imprinting is proposed to develop composite micro-patterns using a simply-patterned mold. The proposed patterning technology uses repetitive ultrasonic imprinting in which a patterned replica is imprinted repeatedly on a rotated position. To implement this process for the development of composite micro-patterns, two-step repetitive imprinting with 90o rotation was performed using a prism-patterned mold, from which pyramid patterns can be developed. This repetitive imprinting was then further applied to fabricate composite micro-patterns that contain prism and pyramid micropatterns on a single polymer film.
피라미드 패턴으로 제작된 TFT-LCD용 도광판의 출력 특성

피라미드 패턴이 가공된 도광판(LGP: Light Guide Plate)의 광출력 특성을 전산 모사를 통하여 조사하였다. 피라미드 패턴의 크기, 패턴의 면적 점유율, 피라미드 에칭각 등이 도광판 출력에 미치는 영향을 각각 조사하였으며, 이를 일반적으로 사용되는 반구형 패턴과 비교하였다. 반구형 패턴과의 비교 결과 패턴의 모양은 출력의 세기에 큰 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 각 변수들의 영향을 분석한 결과, 패턴의 크기 변화는 출력에 거의 영향을 주지 않는 반면에 패턴의 면적 점유율과 피라미드 에칭각은 도광판의 출력에 비교적 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났 다. 따라서 패턴의 면적 점유율 및 에칭각을 조절함으로써 도광판 성능을 개선할 수 있는 것으로 조사되었다. We have analyzed the output characteristics of a LGP with pyramid shaped pattern by using a 3-D simulation tool. The influences on the LGP output of various parameters such as the pattern shape, pattern occupation ratio, pattern size, and etching angle were investigated. Comparing the pyramid shaped pattern with hemispherical patterns, little difference was observed. And, it was proved that the pattern occupation ratio and etching angle have relatively large effects on LGP output characteristics, while the pattern size has no effect. Therefore, we can improve the LGP characteristics by optimizing pattern structure and distribution.

Micro pyramid pattern and its array are designed to enhance the brightness and its uniformity of LGP which is one of key parts in LCD. The designed micro pyramid patterns are fabricated on a Si-wafer first through MEMS process and then a Ni-stamper is electro-plated from the Si pattern master. Adopting the fabricated Ni-stamper, LGPs are injection molded at different mold temperatures and the fidelity of the pattern replication is estimated for each molding conditions and pattern locations. The replicated patterns are found to have some defect such as local short shot or micro weld line which are believed to have negative effect on the performance of the LGP.

This study’s goal is improving light efficiency by patterning on LED package. On this, optical patterns, designed and analyzed by optical simulation program. mainly pattern is pyramid pattern and the most efficiency degree was 80. Because of difficulty in manufacturing, we research about improving efficiency by various methods.
