연극을 통한 신화의 재현과 확장: <오버더떼창: 문전본풀이>를 중심으로

Myths have been continuously made into plays since the 1980s. However, in plays, myths are often used as material. However "Over the crowed-singing of Pansori" utilizes the entire story of the myth. The author found the subject of the myth. And the characteristic of the charecter was given based on the this. As a result, the topic was effectively communicated. At the same time, the problems of unreality was solved. "Over the crowed-singing of Pansori" says that the narrative of the performance is same as the myth. However, there is a part that is not consistent with the grammar of mythology. But these changes have given modern meaning to myths. This work has reborn the myth as a meaningful story in the present era beyond a fresh story. As a result, not only can the audience understand "Moonjeon bonpuri" through the play, but also think that the myth is a meaningful story for them. I think such an adaptation will have a significant effect on Korean mythology becoming an epic enjoyed by people. 본 논문은 <오버더떼창: 문전본풀이>의 인물 구현 방식을 중심으로 신화의 재현과 확장 양상과 그 의의를 고찰하였다. 신화는 1980년대부터 지속적으로 연극으로 무대에 오르고 있다. 그러나 연극에서 신화는 전복⋅해체되어, 제재로서 활용되는 경우가 많다. <오버더떼창>은 신화의 서사구조를 따르되 서사를 수정⋅복원⋅확장했다는 점에서 주목할 필요가 있다. 개작이 인물에 개성을 부여하는 것으로 이루어지는 바, 먼저 인물 구현 양상을 살펴보았다. 작가는 신화 속 소통 부재의 문제를 ‘속 나누고 사는 삶’으로 발전시켜 이를 주제로 삼았고, 인물의 구현 또한 이러한 주제 의식 하에 이루어져 남선비의 가족들은 소통에 있어 각기 다른 욕망을 지닌 것으로 나타난다. 한편 노일저대는 오동국에 부여된 신비한 섬, 버려진 섬이라는 성격을 토대로 그의 신이한 능력과 비뚤어진 욕망의 맥락이 설명된다. 이러한 개성적 인물 구현은 주제를 효과적으로 전달할 수 있도록 하였다. 동시에 인물의 성격을 통해 신화가 갖고 있는 비현실적 요소와 현대의 윤리관으로는 이해할 수 없는 장면을 설명함으로써 신화를 연극화함에 있어 중요한 과제인 비현실성과 개연성의 문제를 해결하였다. <오버더떼창>에서는 극의 이야기가 곧 <문전본풀이>라고 말하며, 무대장치를 통해서도 신화와 극의 거리를 좁힌다. 한편 여산부인의 서사가 변개함에 따라 신의 좌정 경위가 모호해지며, 신적 질서가 변모한다는 점에서 본 극은 신화의 재현에 있어 한계를 갖는다. 그러나 이와 같은 변화는 현대의 가치관에 보다 부합하는 방향으로 이루어져, 신화에 현대적 의미를 부여했다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다. 본 작품은 신화를 신선한 이야기를 넘어 현시대에도 유의미한 이야기로 재탄생 시켰다. 그 결과 관객들은 본 공연을 통해 <문전본풀이>를 이해할 수 있는 것은 물론, 그 신화가 자신들의 삶과 닿아있는 이야기임 또한 수용할 수 있다. 이와 같은 개작은 한국 신화가 사람들이 즐기는 서사로 자리 잡는데 유의미한 효과를 가질 것이라 생각한다.

본 연구는 우리나라의 수용자 인권에 대한 문제점을 탐색하고, 인권보장을 위해 나아가야할 방향을 제안하고자 하였다. 수용자 인권과 관련하여 우리나라는 헌법에 수용자의 기본권 제한은 헌법적 한계를 벗어날 수 없으므로 필요한 경우에 법률로써 제한한다고 규정하고 있다. 연구방법은 관련법령의 변화와 발간된 통계자료를 살펴보고, 수용자 인권에 대한 문제점과 앞으로 나아가야할 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 수용자 인권과 관련된 문제점은 다음과 같다. 과밀수용, 건강 및 의료처우 문제, 노역장 유치문제, 서신검열, 수용시설 내 가혹행위 및 위생문제 및 수용시설 내 CCTV로 관리 감독하는 문제 등을 들 수 있다. 수용자 인권 개선 방향으로 첫째, 법무부는 개인이 보장받아야할 최소한의 공간을 지켜주는 조치가 필요하다. 둘째, 건강 및 의료처우는 수용시설 내 전문의 상주와 상담전문가 양성을 통한 양적·질적 개선이 필요하다고 본다. 노역장 유치는 사회봉사 등 사회 내 처우를 확대할 필요가 있다. 이를 통해 과밀수용 문제도 다소 해결될 것으로 보인다. 서신 검열에 대한 법적 규정 강화, 수용시설 내 가혹행위는 예산확보와 시설 운영을 위한 인력확보가 중요할 것으로 보인다. 위생문제는 동절기 온수사용 등과 같은 실질적인 개선이 요구된다. 수용시설 내 CCTV 관리 감독은 제도적 보완이 필요하다고 본다. 이 외에도 교정공무원의 근무환경 개선을 통한 인권함양으로 수용자에게 인간적 처우를 제공할 수 있도록 할 필요가 있다. This study aims to explore the violations of human rights in inmates in Korea and suggests directions to ensure human rights. Regarding the human rights of inmates, Korea‘s constitution stipulates that the restriction of the basic rights of inmates cannot go beyond the constitutional limits and if necessary, is restricted by law. The research method looked at the changes in related laws and published statistical data, and presented problems on the human rights of prisoners and future directions. The problems are as follows: There are problems with overcrowding, health and medical treatment issues, attraction of labor sites, letter censorship, abuse and hygiene issues in prison, and monitoring and supervision with CCTVs in prison facilities. To improve the human rights of inmates, first, the Ministry of Justice must take measures to protect the minimum space that individuals should be guaranteed. Second, health and medical treatment should be improved both through the quantity and quality of the training of specialists and counseling experts in the shelter. Detention in a prison workshop needs to alter treatment in society such as social service. Through this, the overcrowding problem will be resolved. Reinforcing legal regulations on letter censorship and harsh acts in the shelter will likely be important to make sure budgets and manpower are adequate to operate the facilities. Hygiene issues require substantial improvement, such as the use of hot water in winter. The supervision of CCTVs in the shelters needs to be systematically supplemented. In addition, it is necessary to allow correctional officials to provide human treatment to inmates by fostering human rights through improving working conditions.
