ArcTig 용접 특성 분석을 통한 TIG용접 생산성 향상에 관한 연구

In this study, optimal operating points were determined using the ArcTig welding method. ArcTig is a keyhole tungsten inert gas welding process developed by fronius (Austria) in which operating points indicate the range that can be welded under any welding condition. An experiment was conducted based on different currents under different welding speeds and arc lengths. The selection of operating points was excluded when incomplete penetration or burn-through occurred in the weld. The welding speed and arc length were set to three levels, and the operating points under each condition were derived.
A Study on Mechanical Properties of Austenitic Stainless Steel Welds Using ArcTig Welding

With recent increase in the demand for stainless steels, the necessity of improving stainlesssteel welding output is likewise increasing. Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), which can obtain clean welds, is conventionally used for stainlesssteel welding. With GTAW, however, it is difficult to meet the rising demand owing to low productivity. Alternatively, ArcTig is a welding process with increased energy density through direct electrode cooling. It is thus possible to achieve highproductivity keyhole welding, which can effectively replace GTAW. However, the mechan- ical properties of ArcTig welds have not been properly discussed hitherto. Accordingly, these were adequately dis- cussed in this study. Tensile, bending, hardness, and impact tests were performed to evaluate the mechanical proper- ties of welds, with macro and micro structures also being analyzed. The test results showed that there were no in- ternal defects in the welds, and mechanical properties were satisfied.
