This study explores the existing claims about the kinds and numbers of the scripture of Jaejo Daejanggyung and then suggests a new perspective. First of all, I examined the gyungmyung and numbers of the scripture written in Daejangmokrok and all the scriptures and numbers in Jaejojang, and entered the gyungmyung and suitable numbers in a table to estimate the exact amount of kinds and numbers of the scripture of Jaejo Daejanggyung. And then, the kinds and numbers of Jaejojang including the kinds and kownsu of each scripture and one-volume of the scripture are produced through computer processing. As a result, it proves that the scripture in Jaejojang has 1496[1530] kinds; ‘1496 kinds’ is calculated by considering a variety of scriptures in one volume as one type and ‘1530 kinds’ in each bracket is calculated by considering each of the various scriptures in one volume as one type of individual scripture, and 6555. 본 연구는 재조대장경 경전의 종수와 권수에 대한 종래의 주장을 살펴본 다음 필자의 새로운 주장을 피력한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 재조대장경 경전의 종수와 권수에 대한 타당하고 정확한 수량을 산정해 내기 위해 먼저 「대장목록」에 기재된 경전의 경명과 권수 및 재조장에 수록된 모든 경전과 그 권수를 조사하여 하나의 표 속에 경명과 해당 경전의 권수를 입력하였다. 다음으로 전산처리를 통하여 독립된 경전의 종수와 권수 그리고 한 권으로 合卷되어 있는 경전을 포함한 재조장 경전의 종수와 권수를 산출해 내었다. 그 결과 재조장에 수록된 경전은 1496[1530]종(‘1496종’은 한 권으로 合卷되어 있는 여러 경전을 1종으로 간주해서 산정된 것이고, 각괄호([ ]) 안의 ‘1530종’은 한 권으로 合卷되어 있는 여러 경전을 각각 개별 경전 1종으로 간주해서 산정된 것임), 6555권인 것으로 나타났다.
