        학교 실내 공기질 관련 초등환경교육 교재 개발

        The purpose of this study is to develop and applicate textbook relevant to school indoor air quality. To achieve the purpose, concrete study process are as follows. First, the survey research to teachers, supervisors, and students is conducted to grasp cognition of subjects in elementary school and management situation about school indoor air quality. Second, contents relevant to indoor air quality on textbooks in the 7th elementary curriculum and subsidiary textbooks is analysed through reference study. Third, environmental textbook relevant to school indoor air quality for 5th and 6th grade in elementary school is developed, applicated, and inspected its effect on the basis of implications from results of survey and reference study. The results of this study are as follows. First, the result of survey concerning school indoor air quality showed that three groups had negative attitude for its management even though they thought that it affected human’s health and study by and large. Student group thought that each of students itself was a little influence to school indoor air pollution though all of three groups answered that ‘activities of students’ was its main source. Efforts of students to improve school indoor air quality was not much, and its main reason was that they didn’t know about school indoor air pollution well. Second, result of analysis into textbooks on the 7th elementary curriculum and subsidiary textbooks, contents concerning indoor air on the 7th elementary curriculum textbooks was little or nothing. And it trended to be included to subsidiary textbooks. However, education textbooks about indoor air for elementary students was insufficient still. Third, environmental textbook relevant to school indoor air quality for 5th and 6th grade in elementary school was developed. It was constructed for themes - importance, sources, effects, and management of school indoor air quality. After its application to the 6th grade students in elementary school, it was meaningful in the level of ρ<.05 that the result of knowledge and awareness in the pre-post test within experiment group. However, all of the results in comparison group didn’t represent statistically meaningful difference. In conclusion, environmental textbook developed by necessity of education about school indoor air quality will play a role as useful tool for the 5th, 6th grade students in elementary school to understand relation of quality of health and life and school indoor air quality, to have attitude to make an effort to manage it by develop right awareness about it.

        실내 미세먼지 및 공기질 관리 방법에 대한 국민의 인식 및 행동

        Indoor air quality management is essential for a healthy life. However, it is difficult to perceive, detect, and monitor the level of indoor air pollution and this means that it is possible to be exposed to more pollution indoors than outdoors. In this study, in order to derive effective indoor air quality management measures, public perceptions and behavioral characteristics regarding indoor particulate matter and air quality management methods were investigated through a survey of 1,000 people. Based on the survey, it was found that most of the respondents had a negative perception of the indoor air quality of their residence, and natural ventilation was the most used method for indoor air quality management. Although the frequency of use of air quality management devices such as air purifiers and mechanical ventilation systems was relatively low, their effect regarding air quality management was positively perceived. In particular, the results of survey indicated that respondents of families which included members with fragile health engaged in more active behavior regarding in indoor air quality management than those respondents whose family members had no health issues and that the former have used air quality management devices more frequently. Therefore, it is necessary to develop proper guidelines to encourage more people to actively participate in improving indoor air quality.

        In modern times, as the time to live in the building increases, the health risk caused by air quality pollution increases, the importance of indoor air quality increases, and citizens' interest in pleasant indoor air quality is increasing. Due to these factors, it is important to manage indoor air quality of multi-use facilities used by a large number of people. In Korea, indoor air quality management is performed by implementing the Indoor Air Quality Management Act, but it has not significantly affected the actual improvement of air quality. This paper attempted to investigate the indoor air quality system, analyze related research trends, and grasp the actual indoor air quality status to examine the effectiveness of the system.

        Schools have significant and serious indoor environmental health problem, of which indoor air quality (IAQ) in school building may affect the health of the students and indirectly affect learning performance. Schools are of special concern when regarding indoor exposure to air pollutants, because students are particularly sensitive to pollutants and spend a significant amount of time in that environment. Therefore researches for improvement of indoor air quality have been developed such as installation of air cleaning device, ventilation system, titanium dioxide(X02) coating and so on. However, it is cult to evaluate the magnitude of improvement of indoor air quality in field study because indoor air quality can be affected by source generation, outdoor air level, ventilation, decay by reaction, temperature, humidity, mixing condition and so on. In this study, evaluation of reduction of formaldehyde emission rate in school indoor environments by far-Infixed ray coating material was carried out using mass balance model in indoor environment. we proposed the evaluation method of magnitude of improvement in indoor air quality, considering outdoor level and ventilation. Since simple indoor concentration measuements could not properly evaluate the indoor air quality, outdoor level and ventilation should be considered when evaluate the indoor air quality.

        A Study on the Perception Level and Proper Management of Indoor Air Quality Recognition in Elderly Care Hospital Workers

        본 연구에서는 노인요양병원의 실내공기질 관리계획을 제안하고자 노인요양병원의 실내공기질 수준을 측정하고 근무자의 실내공기질에 대한 인식에 대하여 조사하였다. 측정 항목은 온도, 습도, CO2, CO, PM10, VOC이며 2019년 4월 26일에 실시하였다. 설문 조사에 따르면 실내 공기질에 대한 만족도가 낮을수록 실외 공기질이 더 좋다고 응답하였으며 실내환경 요소 중 악취가 가장 낮은 것으로 응답하였으며 실내 공기질의 만족도가 높을 경우 실내환경 요소의 만족도도 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 다중응답 분석결과 "환기 부족"이었고 회귀 분석 결과 "공기질 관련성" 항목이 가장 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 노인 요양 병원의 실내 공기질 환경을 최고 수준으로 유지하려면 냄새를 제거하기 위한 환기 장지를 추가로 설치하고 자연 환기 횟수를 늘리고 정기적인 환기담당자를 지정해야 할 것으로 판단된다. 이러한 계획을 수립함으로써 노인요양병원 근무자에게 최상의 서비스를 제공하기 위한 실내 공기질 환경을 제공 할 수 있다. In this paper, we proposed a plan for a indoor air quality management in elderly care hospital by measuring the indoor air quality level of elderly care hospital and conducting a survey the workers" awareness of indoor air quality. The measurement items were Temperature, Humidity, CO2, CO, PM10, VOC and were taken on April 26, 2019. The survey found that the lower the satisfaction level with indoor air quality, the better outdoor air quality and odor items were analyzed to be the lowest among the indoor environmental factors. When the satisfaction level of indoor air quality is high, the satisfaction level of indoor environment factor is high. The result of the multiple response analysis was “lack of ventilation” and the regression analysis was the lower the "relevance of indoor air quality" category. To provide the best indoor air quality environment for elderly care hospital workers the installation of additional ventilation equipment to remove odors, the increase in the number of natural ventilation and the designation of regular ventilation personnel will be necessary. By establishing such a plan, it is possible to provide indoor air quality environment to provide the best services for elderly care hospital workers.

        치과병원 종사자의 실내공기질 인식 관련요인 분석

        The purpose of this study is to contribute to the improvement of indoor air quality management in dental clinic by investigating the level of indoor air quality recognition among dental clinic workers. The questionnaire survey was conducted for about 4 weeks from May 20 to June 20, 2018 in dental clinics located in Jeollanamdo area and 143 were used as the analysis data. The method of indoor air quality management in dental clinic was preferred to "natural ventilation" method and the number of natural ventilation was 1 to 2 times per day and the results of survey on indoor environment satisfaction showed that satisfaction level was lowest in noise and smell items. The types of subjective symptoms experienced by workers working at dental clinics are "cough", "eye burn", and "headache" and a survey on the degree of the relationship between subjective symptoms and indoor air quality showed that 94.4% (135) of respondents answered "very relevant" and "slightly related". As a result of multiple regression analysis, the variables affecting the indoor air quality satisfaction of the dental clinic staff were analyzed as the items such as lighting, noise, main work, number of patients, comparing indoor and outdoor air quality and among them, "comparing indoor and outdoor air quality" was analyzed as having a great influence. To improve the indoor air quality satisfaction of dental clinic worker adequate ventilation, designate the person responsible for the indoor air quality management and periodic measurement efforts will be necessary.

        사무실 근로자들의 실내공기질 인식에 관한 기초 조사 (K대학교를 중심으로)

        Indoor Air Quality(IAQ) affects physical and mental state of person who is residing indoor. Also, it manages daily life condition of Indoor Air in the building. According to the study, office workers spend 23 hours and 12 minutes, about 97% of his/her day indoor. Therefore, Indoor air quality affects not only the health of the person whose staying inside for a long hours but also the productivity and efficiency of work. This study conduct investigations on employees’ awareness of indoor air quality of office in university. By doing so, we are able to determine current situation and provide basic data of improvement for derived problems. As a result, most of the respondents were not satisfied with ventilation and moisture which are elements of Indoor Air Quality. These led people to struggle with symptoms of health. Therefore, to improve the indoor air quality of a university office, it is necessary to exchange the air six times an hour according to recommendation of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)in the United States. Also, plan for Ventilation system that consider temperature, humidity and air flow indoor shall be provided for high quality conformability. furthermore, It is necessary to consider the multilateral in factors of generation of revenue through health care savings of workers and improvement of productivity. 실내공기질(Indoor Air Quality, IAQ)은 실내에 상주하는 이용자의 심신에 영향을 주는 공기의 질이라고 정의할 수 있으며, 보통 일상생활을 영위하는 건물 내부의 공기상태이다. 과거에 비해 많은 사람들이 실내에서 거주하는 시간이 증가하였고, 생활수준이 높아짐에 따라 건강에 영향을 미치는 실내공기질에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 사무실 근로자의 경우, 하루의 약 97%인 23시간 12 분을 실내에서 보내는 것으로 조사되었는데, 오랜시간 거주하는 근로자의 특성상 실내공기질은 건강뿐 아니라 업무 생산성과 효율성에도 영향을 미치는것으로 발표되었다. 따라서 향후, 대학 사무공간의실내공기질의 개선을 위해서는 전 세계적으로 공인된 미국의 냉동공조학회(ASHRAE)의 권고 사항처럼 1시간에 6회 이상의 공기 교환이 이루어 져야 할것이며, 질 높은 쾌적함을 위해서 온습도 및 기류까지 고려한 환기시스템 계획이 세워져야 한다. 또 외기공기 유입을 막아 무조건적인 에너지 비용의 저감만을 강요할 것이 아니라, 적절한 환경 제공을 통해기대되는 근로자의 의료비 절약과 생산성 향상을 통한 수익 발생 등의 요인을 고려해야 할 것이다.

        A Sensitivity Analysis of Parameters Affecting Indoor Air Quality Related to TVOC and HCHO Reduction

        The objective of the study is to analyze the relative performance of factors affecting indoor air quality in multi-residential buildings in Korea. A study of the factors affecting indoor air quality is essential for establishing indoor air quality management strategies effectively. To observe the indoor air quality response following a modification of a given parameter, a sensitivity analysis was performed. The factors examined for the analysis include; wall/ceiling paper, adhesive for wall/ceiling paper, floor material, adhesive for floor material, and ventilation rate. The Experimental Design which identifies main effects among the design parameters with a few experiments was used to decrease the number of experiments. The simulation for indoor air quality was undertaken using a validated equation. Then, ANOVA(Analysis of Variance) was performed to evaluate the relative importance of each parameter affecting the indoor air quality. The result of the study indicates that the indoor air quality may be influenced most by adhesive for wall/ceiling paper, followed by ventilation rate and adhesive for floor material.

        PC방의 실내공기환경

        The indoor air quality (IAQ) of the PC Room has grown more serious due to a sudden increase of internet use and popularization. The first aim of this study was to investigate the indoor air quality of the PC Room around the Shin-chon area in Seoul, by measuring the physical pollutant (carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, airborne dust, formaldehyde, etc.). The second was to examine the correlation between the subjective air quality and the physical air quality. According to the result, the average of carbon dioxide slightly exceeded the standard (1000 ppm). Among 6 pc rooms, 4 ones almost approximated or exceeded it. The 3 places which showed the most uncomfortable air quality in the survey exceeded the formaldehyde standard. The average temperature was 25.35 degrees centigrade, and the relative humidity was below 30%. Airborne dust, temperature and formaldehyde showed close relation with subjective air quality that human feels. It seemed that airborne dust was recognized by turbidity and formaldehyde was felt through smelling. And the air in a low temperature was regarded as a fresher one than that in a relatively high temperature inspite of the same physical air pollution amount.

        항공기 내 실내공기질에 관한 고찰: 이동의 증가와 건강에 미치는 영향 및 블리드에어의 영향

        Background: With the rise in global mobility, aircraft indoor air quality has become a significant public health concern. This study focuses on the health implications of increased travel and bleed air—air drawn from aircraft engines for cabin pressurization and air conditioning. Objectives: This research aims to review the potential health effects related to exposure to aircraft cabin air, particularly the effects of bleed air during fume events. Methods: We conducted a literature review of existing studies on aircraft cabin air quality. We focused on both the immediate and health effects of exposure to cabin air, particularly those related to bleed air contaminants. Results: The review found a possible link between exposure to aircraft cabin air and certain health issues, especially in cabin crew and frequent flyers. There was an increased incidence of respiratory and neurological symptoms related to bleed air exposure. However, the cumulative health effects of frequent air travel remain inconclusive due to limited data. Conclusions: This study highlights the need for improving air quality in aircraft to protect public health. While further research is needed to understand the cumulative effects of frequent air travel, the reduction of exposure to bleed air contaminants should be a priority. These findings underline the need for regulatory changes and technological improvements in aircraft cabin air quality.
