IDC산업의 입지적 특성 및 지역경제파급효과 -김해지역 사례연구-

IDC산업은 신경제시대의 도래와 함께 최근 국가 및 지역경제의 새로운 성장동력으로 각광받고 있으며 세계 주요 도시들이 이들 인터넷데이터센터 유치를 위해 경쟁을 벌이고 있는 실정이다. 하지만 최근까지 IDC산업이 지역경제에 미치는 영향 및 성장 잠재력에 대한 연구는 활발하지 못한 것을 알 수 있다. 본 연구는 KT-SB 글로벌데이터센터가 입지한 김해지역을 사례로 IDC산업의 지역경제 파급효과 및 성장 잠재력을 분석해 보았다. 먼저 사례지역의 산업구조 분석 결과 김해는 우리나라 대부분 지방산업도 시와 마찬가지로 전통 제조업에 특화에 있으며 IT산업은 집적도가 상대적으로 취약한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 여건을 감안해 볼 때 새롭게 입지한 IDC산업의 지역경제 파급효과는 단기적으로는 그다지 높지 않을 것으로 판단된다. 그럼에도 불구하고 해당 자치단체의 노력이나 정부의 지원 노력이 뒤따른다면 IDC산업이 지역경제의 새로운 성장동력으로 작용할 수 있는 잠재력도 발견된다. 첫째, 지역에 특화해 있는 기계금속산업이나 수송기계부품산업이 미래 지식집약형 기계산업으로 발전해 가기 위해서는 클라 우드 서비스를 활용한 특화 솔루션 개발이 요구되며 지역의 IDC가 이를 실현해 가는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 둘째, 지구온난화 문제 해결을 위해 새롭게 요구되는 그린 IDC산업 수요에 대응하여 에너지 효율을 높이기 위해서는 고효율 저전력소비 장비 및 솔루션 도입, 전력설비 개선 등이 요구되며 이에 특화된 핵심기술 확보 및 제품개발과 관련한 후방산업의 성장도 기대된다. 셋째, IDC의 코로케이션 서비스 활용을 위한 국내외 기업이 입주할 경우 지식정보산업의 새로운 클러스터로 발전해 갈 수 있을 것이다. In the era of new economy, Internet Data Center(IDC) industry draws interests of many policy makers as an emerging industry of information technology. Many cities in the world now compete to attract internet data centers to their region. Despite these interests, there have not been any considerable research on the location of IDC industry and its economic impacts on the local economy. This research aims to find out economic impacts and growth potential of the IDC studying a case of KT-SB Global Internet Data Center in Gimhae area. Without KT-SB Global IDC, Gimhae in the southeastern region of Korea has been specialized in metal and mechanical engineering industry. Considering its economic structure of the area, immediate impacts of the IDC on the local economy are not expected to the great extent. Nevertheless, with public interests and further policy supports, we can find some possibilities of IDC to grow as a new locomotive of local economic development. First, cloud services and specialized solution provided by IDC can assist local traditional industries of metal and mechanical engineering to be transformed to a new knowledge-intensive high tech industries. Second, growing demands for more energy-efficient IDC industry in future will help its backward industry of tools and instruments of green IDC to grow in the area. Third, with additional location of firms seeking to use co-location services of IDC, Gimhae area can grow as a new economic cluster of information industry.

냉각탑 냉각수 바이패스 열교환기 이용 데이터센터의 동절기 냉방에너지 절약 연구

최근 정보화 시스템이 급속도로 발전하면서 IT 산업의 발전에 따른 IT 장비의 높은 발열로 인한 냉방에너지 소비의 증가와 안정된 시스템 운영을 위한 공조 시스템이 필요하다. 데이터센터는 일반건물과 비교하여 최대 100배 이상의 막대한 에너지를 사용한다. 데이터센터의 냉각 목적의 냉수는 고발열 서버 최저 보증온도 구현으로 공급온도 조건이 변화되어 2021년부터 20℃~28℃ (냉각탑 approach △T=8℃)로 설계되고 있다. 이에 냉각수는 어떤 온도로 운영할 때 가장 효과적인지 분석하였다. 외기냉수냉방 적용시, 시스템별 장치 구성 분석, 외기습구온도(WB)에 따른 외기냉수냉방 가동 효율 분석, 냉각수 온도의 효율적인 운영조건 비교를 통한 경제성 분석으로 초기투자비 9%, 운전비(전력비) 2%, 15년간 총 2,051백만원이 절감 될 것으로 예상된다.

IDC기반 FLV동영상 솔루션의 Mini IPTV 적용시스템의 설계 및 구현

본 논문에서는 IDC를 기반으로 한 FLV 동영상 솔루션을 Mini IPTV에 적용한 시스템 설계 및 구현을 제안한다. IDC의 에너지를 최소화하고, 자원 활용을 극대화시키는 Green Data Center로 설계하며, Mini IPTV의 다양한 콘텐츠를 서비스 공급자 및 네트워크 공급자가 네트워크를 통해 Mini IPTV 가입자에게 제공한다. 이때 FLV 솔루션 파일 포맷과 압축 기술을 이용해 동영상의 화질과 압축률을 개선하도록 구현함으로써, 트래픽 비용의 절감 및 보안 문제를 해결하고, 특히 웹에서 급속히 팽창하고 있는 e-Learning 분야에 활용하고자 한다. In this paper, we propose system design and implementation of FLV Move Picture Solution based on IDC apply to Mini IPTV. IDC of energy minimize and Green Data Center design resources make use of maximization, and Mini IPTV of diverse contents service provider and network provider offer Mini IPTV customers to transmit network. at this time implemented on the improve Move Picture of motion blur and compressibility using FLVsolution file format and a compression technique, and reduced traffic cost and solved security question. specially, on the web quickly growing a branch of e-Learning wish to be of help.

데이터센터 상구조 하부 격벽구조에 따른 서버랙 냉기류유입 영향성에 대한 수치해석 연구

As the introduction of high-performance IT equipment is gradually increasing, the amount of power required is also continuously increasing. Since server equipment needs to be operated continuously without any rest, heat management is essential for stable operation. Accordingly, air conditioning technology is strongly emphasized. Various studies have been conducted to analyze the air conditioning characteristics through the ASHRAE performance index based on the spatial structure arrangement and specifications of the server rack located above base floor. On the other hand, research on the air conditioning characteristics related to the spatial structure underfloor structure have been relatively insignificant. In this study, the underfloor partition wall structure of the data center with air distribution system as type of server rack front intake and rear exhaust structure including CRAH has been changed. According to the change, the temperature distribution characteristics of the cold air entering the server rack under the heat load of 2.68kW/Rack were numerically analyzed.

본 논문에서는 FLV를 적용한 차세대 인터넷 방송 솔루션을 설계 및 구현하였다. 현재 현장에서 방송중인 HD급 영 상을 실시간으로 압축하여 인터넷 생방송은 물론 VOD 서비스가 가능한 시스템으로 온라인을 통해 인터넷 LIVE 방송 및 VOD 서비스 그리고 UCC 서비스를 손쉽게 운영할 수 있도록 지원하는 솔루션이다. 카메라 및 VOD 영상을 H264 코덱을 사용하여 실시간으로 압축하여 MPEC4, WMV 등의 영상을 인터넷 및 스마트폰에 실시간 스트리밍으로 지원하 는 시스템으로 첫째, 카메라 영상의 실시간 녹화기능을 갖춘 국내 최초의 실시간 인코더 시스템(Real time encoder system)이며, Web 및 스마트폰 환경에 적합한 최신의 코덱 기술을 지원하며, 소프트웨어 제품이다. 둘째, 동영상을 MP4 플레이어로 재생이 가능하며, 사용자 채팅 및 커스터 마이징(customizing)이 가능한 양방향 인터넷 방송 시스템이 다. 셋째, CMS(Contents Management System) 기능은 동영상 콘텐츠 및 강좌 관리 콘텐츠를 안드로이드 폰 및 아이폰 을 통해 실시간으로 스트리밍 서비스가 가능하다.

Recently, demand for smart factories is increasing in response to the era of the 4th industrial revolution. Smart factory is basicallya manufacturing industry based on massive data, which requires IT services for processing a lot of data, which is accelerating theconstruction of data centers. Data center computing equipment requires a different approach from the cooling technology of generalfacilities in terms of heat load and usage time. This study investigates the factors to be reviewed in the recent data center coolingsystem design and technological change trends, compares and reviews various technological methods for facility configuration ofcase companies, derives the design decision process, and draws up a conceptual design corresponding to the conclusion.
