This paper presents two test methods to check the maximum output flow rate, which is the basic specification of an accumulator, and deals with the pros and cons of each test by comparing the results. In the comprehensive performance test method of [RS B 0041: hydraulic bladder-type accumulator], which is a reliability evaluation standard, pressurize the accumulator with a hand pump, open the discharge valve, and measure the discharged flow rate. However, in this case, all work must be done manually, and as the capacity of the accumulator increases, it becomes difficult to work with a hand pump. Therefore, in this study, an accumulator and a flow meter are installed between the hydraulic pump and the relief valve to directly measure the discharged flow rate when the relief valve instantaneous pressure drops, and a cylinder is installed to measure the discharge flow rate through the displacement of the cylinder when the pressure drops. Indirect calculation method is presented. In addition, a circuit and a tester were configured according to each test method, and the test was conducted on the accumulator, and the results were compared. Through this, the pros and cons of each were confirmed, and a test method suitable for the test conditions and accumulator capacity was proposed.
