The definition of flatness is given by ISO. ANSI, KS. etc. but those standards don't mention about the specific methods for the flatness. So various solution models that are based on the Minimum Zone Method have been proposed as an optimization problem for the minimax curve fitting. But it has been rare to compare some optimization algorithms to make a guideline for choosing better algorithms in this field. Hence this paper examined and compared Genetic Algorithm and Simplex Method to the evaluation of flatness. As a result. Genetic Algorithm gave the better or equal flatness than Simplx Method but it has the inefficiency caused from the large number of iteration. Therefore, in the future. another researches about alternative algorithms including Hybrid Genetic Algorithm should be achieved to improve the efficiency of Genetic Algorithm for the evaluation of flatness.

정반 평면도 평가를 위한 측정점의 합리적인 개수의 결정

The flatness is the most important nature for the surface table. For finding such a flatness, the surface is surveyed along a number of straight lines parallel to the edges of table, which form a grid. Next, the variations in height of the grid points are measured relative to a datum point. If the number of such points is increased. It is not necessarily to use many grid points for finding the original flatness ofa measured surface tabel. So it is necessary to find the rational quantity of such grid points. It is found that about 220 points per 1 m? of surface tabel for measurement is the rational quantity with less than about 15% error of the original flatness.

A las er inte rferometer is a system to measure very accur ate motion by using optical interference, and it i s used not only f or meas urement of er ror of length measurement of standard, machine tool, and measuring equipm ent but also for extraction o f location by being in cluded in a precision tool as a sta ndard. A flatne ss indi cates the size of difference from the set s tandard flat surface on the measured, and the st andard flat surface indica tes the geomet rical flat surface including p oints far from the measured flat surface. In thi s study, the length of mea surement foot using a laser interferometer was measured to determine the difference of f latness under the numb er of me asuring points.

The new square electro-magnetic chuck, which can be used for the clamping devices on a grinding machine, is developed in this study to improve the convenience of grinding works. The various kinds of structures are recommended to find the most adequate magnetic characteristics through the analytical approach using finite element methods. The analyzed results are retrofitted to solve the drawbacks of previous models step by step by considering the magnetic fields, strength and distribution of drag force, and thermal deformations of chuck such as high parallelism and flatness. Finally the best recommended models is designed to satisfy the KS specifications required for the commercial magnetic chuck. The prototype chuck with this dimensions and structures is manufactured. For this final model, the experimental verifications are investigated whether the KS specifications are satisfied.
그레이 이론을 이용한 2 축 리니어 모터의 평면도 분석

As the demands of X-Y linear motors increase, it becomes very important to measure flatness errors and to compensate them. In this study, in order to investigate flatness errors, a laser interferometer is used for measurement. To improve the measurement efficiency, a Union Jack method is adopted instead of a square method. The square method is frequently used because of its accuracy, but it requires many measurement points. In this study, the Union Jack method with Grey Theory is used. By using the Grey Theory, unmeasured data are predicted, and these are compared with results of the square method. The results show that the Union Jack method with Grey Theory is accurate enough to replace the square method.
