        표면처리가 인공치와 의치상의 전단결합강도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of retaining holes on the denture base, as well as primer application, on the shear bond strength of denture base resin to the denture base. Using Trubyte Biotone artificial teeth, we selected a maxillary first molar and prepared a total of 80 teeth. Each prepared tooth was polished flat using a dental bar. The polished specimens were placed in the center of a silicon mold (diameter 30 mm, height 23 mm) and were embedded with clear acrylic resin (Ortho Jet, Lang Dental, USA). Forty specimens were shaped, using Fisher bar # 701 at the central part of the alveolar surface, to form retention holes. Each denture base resin was transferred to the resin after surface treatment, as instructed by the manufacturer. The highest shear bond strength (36.2 MPa) was achieved by heat-polymerized resin, when the retention hole and the primer were applied to the artificial tooth. The lowest shear bond strength (11.8 MPa) was achieved by auto-polymerized resin, when the primer was applied to the artificial tooth. The combination of heat-polymerized resin and artificial tooth resulted in a complex fracture pattern, whereas auto-polymerized resin and artificial tooth showed an adhesive fracture pattern. 본 연구에서는 열중합 의치상과 인공치, 자가중합 의치상과 인공치의 치조면에 유지홀과 프라이머를 도포하여 전단결합강도에 미치는 영향을 비교해보고자 하였다. Trubyte Biotone 레진치는 상악 1대구치를 선택하여 총 80개 치아를 준비하였다. 준비된 치아는 치조면을 덴쳐바를 사용하여 평평하게 연마하였고, 연마된 시편은 실리콘 몰드(직경 30 mm, 높이 23 mm) 중앙에 인공치를 위치시키고 투명 아크릴 레진(ortho jet, lang dental, USA)으로 포매하였다. 이중 40개는 치조면 중앙부위에 fissur bur #701을 이용하여 유지홀을 형성하였다. 인공치에 의치상 레진 접합을 위해 테프론으로(지름 6 mm, 높이 3 mm) 몰드를 형성 후 파라핀 왁스를 채워 통상적인 매몰을 하였다. 각각의 의치상 레진은 표면 처리 후 제조사의 지시대로 레진 전입하였다. 열중합형 레진을 이용한 전단결합강도는 인공치아에 유지홀과 프라이머 도포를 하였을 때 가장 높은 강도값(36.2 MPa)을 나타내었다. 자가중합형 레진을 이용한 전단결합강도는 인공치아에 프라이머를 도포 하였을 때 가장 낮은 값(11.8 MPa)을 나타내었다. 열중합형 의치상과 인공치의 결합에서는 복합 파절 양상을 보였고, 자가중합형 의치상과 인공치의 결합에서는 접착파절 양상을 보였다.

        A Comparative Study on the Abrasiveness of the Denture Use of the Denture Cleaner

        Objective: The comparision test was performed in order to get the guide time for proper denture cleaning without scratching on the denture surface. Methods: Forty denture base specimens and forty artificial teeth were prepared and devided with 4 groups as used for distilled water, Anti-plaque dentifrice as strong hardness for abrasiveness sensodyne dentifrice as week hardness for abrasiveness and denture cleaner, as 10 samples for a group in order to test the abrasiveness with the use of the denture cleaner and dentifrice by use of the automatic tooth-brushing machine for 600 times horizontal movements. Reflecting microscope was used to observe the surface roughness classified with 4 points degree. Average score was calculated both in experimented group and the control and compared each other. Results: The scratch was severe in a group used with Anti-plague dentifrice and the least or similar as week scratch in both groups with use of denture cleaner and the water. Conclusion: Denture cleaner was recommended to use in order to diminish the scratch on the denture base or artificial teeth.

        4종 아크릴릭 레진 인공치의 물리적 성질에 관한 비교

        To compare the wear resistance of four kinds of commercial acrylic resin teeth [SR-Orthosit PosterioresR(Ivoclar Co., Liechtenstein), Endura PosteriorR(Shofu Inc. Japan), trubyte IPN teethR(Dentsply International Inc., York,), Trubyte BiotoneR(dentsply Inermational Inc. Brazil) by means of the toothbrush abrasion method, the artificial resin teeth were embedded in epoxy resin with the occlusal surfaces aligned in one plane for a total of 40 blocks. There after, each lock was mounted in the arm of the toothbrush abrasion machine(K 236, Japan). Wear measurements were made on the three preconditioned states. Those were as follows : no treatment specimens, thermocycled specimens, and thermocycled specimens which were immeresed applied load of 400g during the buring the brushing cycle. At the end of the 30,000-stroke cycle, each specimen was removed, and weighed. The microhardness of four kinds of commercial resin teeth were determined by means of microhardness tester. Microhardness tests were performed on te no treatment specimens, thermocycled specimens, and thermocycled specimens with immersion in the denture cleansing solution. Finally, the comparison of thermal properties were perfomed using differential scanning calorimeter(DSC-1500). The following results were obtained : 1. In the case of no treatment teeth, the wear amount of endura Posterior(EN) was the greatest among the others(p<0.01), and the wear amount of three kinds of artificial resin teeth was increased in the order of Trubyte IPN teeth(IN), Trubyte Biotone(BN), SR-Orthosit Posteriores(SN) but there was no statistic significance(p>0.01). 2. The wear amount of Trubyte IPN teeth(IT) and Trubyte Biotone(BT), was increased due to thermocycling effect, but that of Endura Posteriores(ET) was decreased conversely(p<0.01). 3. Except for the SR-Orthosit Posteriores(STC), the wear amount of three kinds of artificial resing teeth(that is, ETC, ITC, BTC) was increased due to denture cleansing solution$(Cledent^R)$, but there was no statistic significance(p>0.01). But the wear amount of the SR-Orthosit Posteriores(STC) was the greatest among the others(p<0.01). 4. The wear amount of toothbrush was the greatest in case of contact with occlusal surface of SROrthosit Posteriores resin teeth(p<0.01). 5. the microhardness values(KHN) of the SR-Orthosit Posteriores was the highest among the experimental artificial resin teeth(p<0.01). 6. There was no relationship between microhardness valuse(KHN) and wear amount of four kinds of experimental artificial resin teeth(p<0.01). 7. The differential canning calorimetric property of four kinds of artificial resin teeth did not show endothermal or exothermal peak in the range of $100^{\circ}C$

        A comparative study on the accuracies of resin denture bases and metal denture bases

        Since the late 1930s, acrylic resins have been the materials of choice for the fabrication of complete denture bases. It has excellent esthetic properties, adequate strength, low water sorption, and low solubility. But acrylic resin has disadvantage of processing shrinkage that reduces denture retention and accuracy of denture occlusion. Metals also have been used in denture base material. Metals used in denture bases display excellent strength and dimensional stability. The major disadvantages associated with metal denture bases include increased cost, difficulty in fabrication, compromised esthetic qualities, and inability to re-base. The purpose of this study is to compare the artificial tooth movements of complete dentures with resin bases and metal bases after curing, deflasking, polishing immersion in water for 1 week and 4 weeks. Twenty-four maxillary complete resin denture bases with artificial teeth were fabricated. Twelve of them were resin based and other twelve of them were metal based. Fine crosses were marked on the incisal edges of right central incisors and distobuccal cusps of be second molars. Measurements were done for the changes of distances of reference points at the time of wax denture, after deflasking after decasting after polishing after immersion in water for 1 week and 4 weeks Meaurements were done to the accuracy of 0.001mm with a measuring microscope. The results were as follows : 1. Metal base showed significantly less tooth movement than resin base after curing and decasting (p<0.01). 2. Metal base showed significantly less tooth movement than resin base after polishing (p<0.01). 3. After immersion in water for 1 week and 4 weeks, metal base showed less movement than resin base. Difference was significant for anterior-posterior distances (p<0.01), but not significant for molar-to-molar distance (p>0.01). 4. 1 week and 4 weeks of immersion failed to compensate the initial processing shrinkage of metal and resin bases (p>0.01).
