      • The Relationship between Regret and Subjective Well-being in Middle Aged Women

        We aimed to investigate how different coping styles for regret appraisals and experiences affect subjective well-being among middle aged women. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire from 40–65 year old women residing in D city and K province of South Korea. For data analysis, SPSS/WIN 21.0 was used to conduct t-tests, ANOVAs, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and hierarchical regression analysis. We found several correlations between subjective well-being and sub-scales of regret coping styles: pursuit of alternative goals was positively correlated with life satisfaction, while ruminating on regret, goal separation, and pursuit of alternative goals were positively correlated with psychological well-being a domain of subjective well-being. The hierarchical regression analysis indicated that life satisfaction, another aspect of subjective well-being, increased with higher monthly income, lower regret intensity, and greater pursuit of alternative goals. Meanwhile, with psychological well-being, as another aspect of subjective well-being, was found to be positively predicted by better perceived health and greater rumination on regret, goal weparation and pursuit of alternative goals. These results demonstrate the need to develop and implement programs that consider the various regret coping styles to increase the standards of subjective well-being among middle aged women in South Korea.

        또래애착이 아동의 주관적 행복감에 미치는 영향 : 자아존중감의 매개효과

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of children's perceived peer attachment on children's subjective well-being and the effects of self-esteem, one of the variables of individual personality characteristics, on peer attachment and subjective well-being. Design: Data from the 2018 Panel Study on Korean Children were used. Methods: The survey method was conducted by the investigator, and the total number of cases was 1,434 people. Results: First, the higher the child's peer attachment leads to higher subjective well-being and self-esteem, and the higher the self-esteem leads to higher subjective well-being. Second, in the relationship between peer attachment and subjective well-being, self-esteem acts as a mediator variable. Third, children's peer attachment affects subjective well-being and self-esteem, and self-esteem affects subjective well-being. The results explain that the degree of children's peer attachment itself affects subjective well-being and self-esteem, and self-esteem also affects children's subjective well-being. Conclusion: Self-esteem is an important factor influencing subjective well-being and has a mediating effect on the relationship between peer attachment and subjective well-being. In other words, it can be understood that children feel subjective well-being through positive interactions with peers, not only in parent relationships. Based on these results, it is necessary to suggest practical interventions to enhance children's subjective sense of well-being and to develop various programs that can strengthen the sub-factors of peer attachment.

        문화예술활동과 참여 동기가 개인의 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향 - 학습동기의 매개효과를 중심으로 -

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of culture and arts activities (experience, type, frequency) and participation motivation on subjective well-being and to investigate the mediating effects of learning motivation. For this study, the subject is limited to adults who are leading consumers of culture and art activities can decide what activity to do. By survey, data from 1,000 respondents are used for analysis after applying proportional sampling based on the proportion of sex and age indicated in the population statistics. Exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted based on the collected data using SPSS v.22.0. The results obtained from the empirical analysis are as follows. First, regarding culture and art activities (experience, type, frequency) and subjective well-being, the results are as follows. H1. Those who experienced culture and arts activities have higher subjective well-being than non-experienced ones. H2. Participating in culture and art activity increases subjective well-being more than just spectating culture and art programs. H3. Heavy participants in culture and art activities have higher subjective well-being than lighter participants. These results indicate that culture and art activities are important variables that have a positive effect on subjective well-being. Therefore, participating in culture and art activities may be an appropriate way to enhance subjective well-being because they are life experiences that individuals can experience in their daily lives. Second, H4. internal motivation and external motivation, sub-factors of participation motivation in culture and art activities, have a positive effect on subjective well-being, and amotivation has a negative effect on subjective well-being. Therefore, in order to improve subjective well-being, it is important to strive to lower amotivation and increase internal and external motivation. Third, H5. learning motivation has a partial mediating effect on the relationship between participation motivation in culture and art activities and subjective well-being. This result suggests that culture and art activities and education might be helpful for subjective well-being when they are conducted together since participation motivation in culture. 본 연구는 문화예술활동(경험, 유형, 빈도)과 참여 동기가 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향과 학습동기의 매개효과를 파악하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 문화예술활동에 대한 주체적인 판단과 주 소비층인 일반 성인들로 한정하고 인구통계를 기준으로 성비와 연령비율에 근거한 비례할당을 적용하였으며, 1,000명의 데이터가 수집·분석에 이용되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS v.22.0 통계패키지 프로그램을 통해 탐색적 요인분석과 신뢰도 분석을 시행하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문화예술활동(경험, 유형, 빈도)과 주관적 안녕감에 대해서는 H1. 문화예술활동 경험자가 비경험자 보다 주관적 안녕감이 높다. H2. 문화예술참여 활동이 문화예술관람 활동보다 주관적 안녕감이 높다. H3. 문화예술활동 헤비참여자가 라이트참여자 보다 주관적 안녕감이 높다. 따라서 문화예술활동은 주관적 안녕감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 중요한 변인과 생활경험인 만큼, 주관적 안녕감을 높이는데 적절한 방법이다. 둘째, H4. 문화예술활동 참여 동기의 하위요인인 내적 동기, 외적 동기는 주관적 안녕감에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 무동기는 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 주관적 안녕감을 높이기 위해서는 무동기를 낮추고 내·외적 동기를 높이기 위해 노력해야 한다. 셋째, H5. 문화예술활동 참여 동기와 주관적 안녕감의 관계에서 학습동기는 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 문화예술활동과 문화예술교육은 함께 진행될 경우 주관적 안녕감의 향상에 도움이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

        Big5 성격요인과 주관적 안녕감간의 관계에 대한 자기효능감의 매개효과

        이 연구의 목적은 Big5 성격요인, 자기효능감, 주관적 안녕감 간의 관계를 살펴보고, Big5 성격요인과 주관적 안녕감의관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과가 나타나는지를 검증하는 것이다. 서울 및 수도권 소재 353명의 고등학생을 대상으로 NEO-PI-R 성격검사, 자기효능감 척도와 옥스퍼드행복척도를 실시해 구한 주요 결과들은 다음과 같다. 첫째 상관 분석 결과, 신경증 요인은 자기효능감과 ㅇ의한 부적 상관을 나타낸 반면에, 나머지 외향성, 개방성, 친화성, 및 성실성 요인은 자기효능감과 유의한 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 그리고 5요인 성격 특성과 주관적 안녕감 간의 상관 결가 역시 신경증 요인은 주관적 안녕감과 유의한 부적 상관을 나타낸 반면에, 나머지 외향성, 개방성, 친화성 및 성실성 요인은 주관적 안녕감과 유의한 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 둘째, 중다회귀분석을 통해 주관적 안녕감에 대한 5요인 성격 특성의 예측력을 살펴본 결과, 가장 높은 예측력을 보이는 요인들은 외향성, 신경증, 성실성 요인 순으로 나타났다. 셋째 위계적 회귀분석을 사용해 자기효능감의 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 자기효능감은 신경증 요인과 주관적 안녕감 간의 관계에서만 완전 매개효과를 나타냈고, 나머지 4개 요인과 주관적 안녕감 간의 관계에선ㄴ 부분 매개효과를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과들은 청소년의 주관적 안녕감을 예측하기 위해 Big5 성격요인이 유용한 심리적 구인이란 점과 특히 청소년의 정신적 스트레스를 줄이고 주관적 안녕감을 향상시키기 위해 자기효능감에 대한 교육적 중재의필요성을 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between Big five personality factors and subjective well-being. A total of 353 high school students completed the NEO PI-R, Genera self-efficacy scales and revised Oxford Happiness Inventory(OHI). This study was carried out in the following way: First, this study examined the association between the Big Five personality factors, self-efficacy and subjective well-being. Second was to examine the influence of Bing five personality factors on relative influence on subjecive well-being. Third in this study was to assess that self-efficacy plays a role as mediator in the relation between Big Five personality factors and subjective well-being. Statistic methods to analyze the collective data were Pearson`s corremation analysis, multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. The results provided as follows. First, Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Agreeableness and Conscientiousness were positively correlated with self-efficacy and subjective well-being but Neuroticism was negatively correlated with both general self-efficacy and subjective well-being. Second, Big 5 personality factors accounted for 47% of the variance in subjective well-being. Statistic methods to analyze the collective data were Pearson`s correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. The results provided as follows. First, Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Agreeableness and Conscientiousness were positively correlated with self-efficacy and subjective well-being but Neuroticism was negatively correlated with both general self-efficacy and subjective well-being. Second, Big 5 personality factors accouted for 47% of the variance in subjective well-being. Theree factors were significant: Extraversion, Neuroticism and Conscientiousness. Third, the self-efficacy fully mediated the relationship between neuroticism of Big five personality factors and subjective well-being. On the other hand, the self-efficacy partially mediated the relationship between Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Agreeableness and Conscientiousness and subjective well-being. This result indicated that self-efficacy had a mediator effect in the relationship of five factors and subjective wee-being. Therefore, it suggested that the not only consideration of importance of self-efficacy but also personal characteristic for self-efficacy enhancing of adolescent` subjective well-being, also the neccssarily of the development program on self-efficacy for improvement of subjective well-being.

        물질주의적 가치관과 주관적 계층감이 행복에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구

        행복은 여러 요인에 의해 결정되지만 물질주의적 가치관도 결정요인의 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있다. 한국사회에 만연한 물질주의적 가치관은 한국인의 행복에 광범위한 영향을 미치고 있다. 물질주의적 가치관은 텔레비전 오락 프로그램에 의해 더욱 심화되고 있다는 지적도 있어 왔다. 그러나 최근 물질주의적 가치관에 대항하는 라이프스타일에 대한 관심도 높아지고 있는데, 이는 ‘효리네 민박’, ‘숲속의 작은 집’ 등 현실세계의 물질 추구적 삶과 대비되는 탈물질주의적 가치관에 동조하는 콘텐츠의 인기에서도 확인된다. 이렇듯 (탈)물질주의 가치관이 한국사회에서 중요한 이슈로 떠오르고 있으나 아직까지 물질주의 가치관과 소득, 그리고 주관적 계층감이 행복에 어떻게 영향을 미치는가에 대한 연구는 미미하다. 본 논문은 물질주의적 가치관을 가진 사람들이 객관적 소득과 주관적 계층감과 함께 행복감에 미치는 영향력을 가치관과 주관적 계층감과의 상호작용을 중심으로 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 행복과 물질주의적 가치관과 관련된 심리적, 관계적 요인들을 통제하고, 연령과 성별을 구분하여, 총 1,405명을 대상으로 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 물질주의적 가치관은 주관적 계층감과 강한 연관성을 가지고 있으며, 서로간의 상호작용을 통해 행복감에 유의미하게 영향을 주었다. 특히 주관적 계층감이 낮은 집단에서는, 물질주의적 가치관이 낮은 그룹은 높은 쪽에 비해 유의미하게 높은 수준의 행복도를 보여 주었는데, 이러한 경향은 저소득층과 낮은 연령층, 그리고 여성층에서 두드러지게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 물질주의 가치관과 관련하여 문화콘텐츠의 정책적 활용과 사행성 콘텐츠에 대한 정책적 방향성에 대한 함의를 제공하고 있다. Particularly, Korean TV drama has been regarded as accelerator of materialistic value by rags-to-riches story and luxurious scenes. However, there has been a limited number of reseach existing about how people"s materialism, income and class consciousness affects subjective well-being. This study investigated the relationship among one"s materialism, actual income and class consciousness, and also examined how these factors influence one"s subjective well-being. Total of 1,405 subjects participated in an online survey. Controlling for subjectives well-bing, materialism and other psychological factors, we analyzed how these factors affect subjective well-being. Results showed that materialism was strongly related to actual income and class consciousness. The interaction among those factors significantly influenced the level of subjective well-being. In particular, in the low income group with low level of materialism showed significantly higher level of subjective well-being scores.         초등학습자의 주관적 웰빙이 읽기 동기와 읽기 이해 능력에 미치는 영향 연구

        이 연구는 초등학습자의 주관적 웰빙과 읽기 동기, 읽기 이해 능력의 관계를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 초등학습자의 주관적 웰빙과 읽기동기 읽기 이해 능력을 측정하고 이들의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 먼저, 주관적 웰빙의 메타 지표인 긍정 활력성을 바탕으로 한 측정 도구를 활용하여 주관적 웰빙을 측정하였고 읽기 동기, 읽기 이해 능력을 측정하고 구조방정식을 활용하여 이들의 구조적 관계를 살펴보았다. 이때, 선행 연구를 참고로 하여읽기 동기가 주관적 웰빙과 읽기 이해 능력 사이에서 매개 효과로 작용하는 것으로 연구 모형을 설정하였다. 분석 결과, 초등학습자가 인식하고 있는 자신의 주관적 웰빙은 읽기 이해 능력에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 주관적 웰빙은 읽기 동기에 영향을 미치며 읽기 동기를 매개로 읽기 이해 능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이 연구는 초등학습자의 주관적 웰빙과 읽기와 관련한 요소의 구조적 관계와 인과 관련성을 실증적으로 조사하였다는 점, 학습자의주관적 웰빙을 긍정 활력이라는 메타 지표를 통해 측정하였다는 점 그리고 주관적 웰빙과 읽기 성취뿐 아니라 다른 읽기 요소와의 관련성을 추가로 살펴보았다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다. This study aimed to examine the relationship between the subjective well-being, reading motivation, and reading comprehension ability of elementary school students. To this end, we attempted to measure the subjective well-being, reading motivation, and reading comprehension ability of elementary school students and examine their relationship. First, subjective well-being was measured using a measurement tool based on Covitality, a meta-indicator of subjective well-being, reading motivation, reading comprehension ability, and structural equations were used to examine their structural relationship. Referring to previous studies, a research model was established that reading motivation acts as a mediator between subjective well-being and reading comprehension ability. The analysis confirmed that the subjective well-being perceived by elementary school students had a positive effect on reading comprehension ability. In addition, it was confirmed that subjective well-being affects reading motivation and has a positive effect on reading comprehension ability through reading motivation. This study is significant in that it empirically examined the structural relationship and causal relationship of elementary school students’ subjective well-being and reading-related factors, measured students’ subjective well-being using a meta-indicator of Covitality, and examined the relationship with other reading factors as well as subjective well-being and reading achievement.

      • Influence of the Eating Habit and a Well-being Behavior`s Perception of Elderly People on the Subjective Quality of Life and Life Satisfaction

        Purpose: As the higher numerical presence of elderly people leading to change in age structure, it is important to reappraise the quality and satisfaction of life of elderly people. The main objective of this paper is to study how levels of elder people’s subjective quality of life and life satisfaction are perceived within a wellbeing behavior and what kinds of eating habits. Method: A quantitative study was conducted of 65 year-old elderly people who have participated in one of the following programs: gym, summing and gate ball from 2 sport centers and gate ball clubs in D City in 2014. Results are expressed in terms of Mean and SE of mean. T-test, correlation analysis, multiple regression, one-way NAOVA and MANOVA test have been used to compare the mean scores of the subjective quality of life and life satisfaction score based on different variables under the domain of eating habit and well-being behavior. A total 291 old age people were included in this study and data were tested by using SPSS 20.0. Result: The subjective quality of life of elderly was partially influenced by consuming amount of well-being, for example, respondents’ consuming amount of well-being ‘100,000\’ on levels of the subjective quality of life of elderly were lower than ‘200,000\~300,000\’. Conclusion: First, There was no difference between the relations between the subjective quality of life of elderly and gender, consuming amount of well-being and well-being food styles. Second, Individual and family variables had a significantly positive correlation with health of individual and family, commercial tool and other-awareness, while life satisfaction had a significantly positive correlation with health consideration, cloth, house, environment, exercise leisure, food and well-being style. The subjective quality of life had a significantly negative correlation with food, other-awareness, while the well-being behavior variables had a significantly positive correlation with well-being eating habit, the subjective quality of life and life satisfaction. Third, The subjective quality of life was partially influenced by well-being eating habits. For example, maintaining individual and family health variable had a significantly positive correlation with the subjective quality of life, while other-awareness had a significantly negative correlation with the subjective quality of life of elderly. The maintaining individual and family health and other-awareness variables had a significantly positive correlation with life satisfaction. There is an urgent need of an economic provision in forms of assuring compulsory old age pension to satisfy the subjective well-being needs.

        한국과 미국대학생의 주관적 안녕감과 심리적 안녕감의 관계

        본 연구의 목적은 한국과 미국대학생들의 주관적 안녕감과 심리적 안녕감의 관계를 검토하는 것이었다. 이를 위하여 한국대학생 127명과 미국대학생 92명의 삶의 만족도, 정적 정서경험과 부적 정서경험의 빈도, 그리고 심리적 안녕감의 6 차원(Ryff, 1989)을 자기보고법에 의해서 측정하였다. 삶의 만족도에서 한국대학생은 미국대학생보다 낮은 수준을 보여주었지만 정적정서와 부적정서의 차이인 정서균형점수에서는 두 집단간에 차이가 없었다. 심리적 안녕감의 6 차원 중 긍정적 대인관계를 제외한 5 차원에서 한국대학생은 미국대학생에 비하여 낮은 수준을 나타냈다. 두 집단 모두에서 주관적 안녕감에 대하여 자아수용과 환경지배력이 비교적 강한 상관을 보였지만 삶의 목적은 미국대학생집단에서 주관적 안녕감과 더 강한 상관을 보였다. 주관적 안녕감에 대한 회귀분석에서도 자아수용과 환경지배력이 유의미한 설명변인으로 나타났다. 그러나 긍정적 대인관계는 한국대학생집단에서만 그리고 삶의 목적은 미국대학생집단에서만 유의미한 설명변인으로 나타났다. The purpose of the present study was to examine the relationships between subjective well-being and psychological well-being among Korean and American college students. Life satisfaction, positive affect, negative affect, and psychological well-being(Ryff, 1989) of 127 Korean and 92 American college students were measured by self-reports. Korean students showed lower life satisfaction than American students but they were not different from American students in the affective balance score that was computed by subtracting negative affect from positive affect. Korean students showed lower scores than American students in 5 dimensions of psychological well-being, except the positive relations dimension. In both Korean and American students, the self-acceptance and environmental mastery dimensions were strongly related with subjective well-being. The purpose of life dimension showed strong relations with subjective well-being only in American students. The results of regression analysis on subjective well-being also indicated that the self-acceptance and environmental mastery dimensions were significant predictors of subjective well-being. The positive relations dimension was a significant predictor of subjective well-being only in Korean students and the purpose of life dimension was a significant predictor of subjective well-being only in American students.

        무엇이 한국 청소년들을 행복하게 하는가: 부모의 양육행동과 주관적 안녕감의 관계에서 자율성의 매개효과

        Korean adolescents have a lower subjective well-being compared to their counterparts in other Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development member countries as well as experience more psychological difficulties than adults. Previous research shows that parenting behavior has a considerable influence on adolescent subjective well-being. Additionally, the personality dimension of self-directedness, the ability to regulate personal behavior to obtain onindividual goals, has a positive influence on subjective well-being. This study analyzed the structural relationship between parenting behavior, self-directedness, and the subjective well-being of Korean adolescents as well as investigated the mediating effect of self-directedness in the relationships between parenting behaviors and the subjective well-being of adolescents. Participants were 325 middle school students in Gwangju, Korea, who completed measures of self-directedness (from the Korean Junior Temperament and Character Inventory), subjective well-being (Well-Being Scale of Adolescents in Korea), and perceived parenting behaviors (My Memories of Upbringing - Short Korean version). Results showed that emotional warmth had a statistically significant direct impact on adolescents’ subjective well-being. However, the findings also indicated a statistically significant indirect impact mediated by self-directedness. Rejection and overprotection had a statistically significant indirect effect on adolescents’ subjective well-being that was mediated by self-directedness. The results provide information that can be used to develop programs to improve the subjective well-being of adolescents as well as confirm the importance of parenting behavior and self-directedness during adolescence.

      • 대학생의 심리적 안녕감 구성개념 분석

        ??본 연구에서는 주관적 삶의 질을 측정하는 개념으로 제안된 심리적 안녕감의 구성개념을 검토하기 위해서 다음 3가지 점에 초점을 맞춰 연구를 진행하였다. 첫째, 대학생을 대상으로 하여 심리적 안녕감의 구성요소를 파악하고, 두 번째는 삶의 질의 구성요소를 밝히기 위한 보다 구체적인 작업으로 한 개인의 주관적 판단에 의한 안녕감(주관적 안녕감)과 심리학적 개념들에 비추어 판단된 안녕감(심리적 안녕감)은 어떠한 관계를 갖는지를 분석하고, 세 번째, 위의 구조가 우리나라 대학생들에게 어떻게 적용되며 성별과 연령에 따라 어떤 양상을 보이는지에 대해 파악하고자하였다. 이를 위해 삶의 질의 주관적인 영역이 과연 어떠한 구성개념을 갖는지를 분석하기 위해 심리학 이론들에서 제기된 개념을 바탕으로 구성된 심리적 안녕감이 6개의 구성요소를 갖는가를 확증적 요인분석을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과 현실만족, 대인관계, 자율성, 삶의 목적, 현실 부적응, 개인적 성장이라는 6가지 요인을 포함하는 모델이 심리적 안녕감을 설명하는데 적합한 모델임을 알 수 있었다. 두 번째로 삶의 질의 주관적 측면에 대한 양립적인 개념인 심리적 안녕감(PWB)과 주관적 안녕감(SWB)간의 관계를 단순상관관계 분석과 회귀분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 그 결과는 주관적 안녕감의 3요인 모두에 대해 현실만족과 현실 부적응은 비교적 높은 상관관계를 보인 반면 자율성, 삶의 목적, 개인적 성장은 낮은 상관관계를 보였다. 마지막으로, 주관적 안녕감(SWB)과 심리적 안녕감(PWB)의 관계가 성별과 연령에 따라 어떤 양상을 보이는지에 대해 살펴 본 결과, 성별에 따른 심리적 안녕감의 차이를 보면 자율성에서 남녀 간에 차이를 보였다. 본 연구의 의의는 Ryff(1989)가 제안한 심리적 안녕감의 구성요소들이 우리나라 대학생들에게도 적합한 구조를 갖는지를 확인한 결과 우리나라 대학생들의 경우 구성요소들이 다를 수 있다는 사실을 확인하였다. 그리고 우리나라 대학생의 심리적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 확인하고 이 요인들이 남녀별로 어떻게 다른지를 확인한데서 본 연구의 의의를 찾을 수 있다. The purpose of this study is to examine the component concepts of psychological well-being suggested as concepts to measure subjective life quality. The research was conducted as follows. First, to establish the components of psychological well-being for college students. Second, to analyze the relations between subjective well-being by subjective judgement and psychological well-being which is judged in the light of psychological concepts in order to clarify the components of life quality specifically. Third, to identify how the components are applied to Korean college students, and what aspects are shown according to the ages and gender. To analyze what component concepts the subjective area of life quality has, it was analyzed through positive factor analysis if psychological well-being, composed of the concepts suggested in the psychological theories, has 6 components. Based on the results of the analysis, it was established that the model including life satisfaction, interpersonal relationship, autonomy, purpose in life, maladjustment to life, and personal growth is suitable to explain psychological well-being. Then the relations between subjective well-being and psychological well-being, the compatible concepts of subjective aspects on life quality, were examined through simple interrelation analysis and regression analysis: Based on the result, comparatively high interrelations were shown in the three factors of subjective well-being on life satisfaction and maladjustment to life, while low interrelation were shown in the factors of autonomy, purpose in life, and personal growth. Lastly, based on the examination of what aspects are shown between the relations of subjective well-being and psychological well-being according to the ages and gender, differences between men and women were shown in the psychological well-being, The significance of this research is to establish that the psychological well-being factors suggested by Ryff(1989) can be different in the cases of Korean college students, and to identify the factors which affect the psychological well-being of Korean college students and what differences there are in the factors between men and women.
