        랙크식 창고 화재의 수직 확산 방지를 위한 수평차단막과 In-Rack 스프링클러 적용에 관한 실험연구

        A rack-type warehouse has the advantage of storing a large amount in a small area by loading goods vertically. But in terms of fire risk, the fire load is very high, which can cause massive damage in the event of a fire. In the United States, research has been actively conducted to minimize the spread of vertical fires, and relevant standards have been established and operated. In Korea, research and related standards are insufficient to prevent the vertical spread of rack-type warehouse fires. In this study, an experimental study was conducted to prevent the vertical spread of a rack-type warehouse fire using a horizontal barrier and in-rack sprinklers. As a result of the test, the horizontal barrier considering the continuous flame prevented the vertical spread of the flame for a certain time. However, the horizontal barrier with continuous flame did not show the effect of preventing continuous flame. The combination of the horizontal barrier and the in-rack sprinkler prevented the vertical spread of fire effectively. In addition, the heat collecting effect through the horizontal barrier was shown and helped the early operation of the in-rack sprinklers.

        도로의 기하구조 및 전조등의 확산각도에 따른 운전자의 차선 시인거리

        PURPOSES : The purpose of this study was to analyze the visibility of lanes according to the changes in the plane and longitudinal line of roads considering the horizontal and vertical diffusion angles of vehicle headlights at night. First, the visibility length of the lane was determined according to the plane linearity of the road such that it could be applied to simulation and visualization data. Second, the night vision length of the lane was established according to the longitudinal line of the road such that it could be applied to the simulation and visualization data. METHODS : In this study, each variable is first examined to consider the horizontal and vertical diffusion angles of the vehicle headlights. Second, the equation for the visibility of the lane by vehicle headlights in planar linearity is obtained, and the visibility of the lane is determined. Third, an equation is obtained for the visibility of the lane by vehicle headlights in longitudinal linearity. RESULTS : The results of this study are as follows. First, the visibility length of the lane in the section where the plane linearity of the highway existed at night was studied. In this case, the visibility length of the right and left lanes based on the vehicle decreased according to the plane linearity of the highway. Second, the visibility length of the lane in the section where the longitudinal line of the highway existed at night was investigated. In this case, the visibility length of the lane decreased according to the change in the longitudinal line of the highway. CONCLUSIONS : Considering the horizontal and vertical diffusion angles, the visibility length of the lane was determined according to the changes in the plane and vertical line of the road. It can be applied to simulation and visualization data. In general, the visibility length considering the spread angle of the vehicle headlights was shorter than the visibility length of the lane by the headlights; roads must be designed in consideration with the above result.

        수평차단막 설치에 따른 랙크식 창고의 화재방호성능 개선에 관한 연구

        A rack-type warehouse is a structure that vertically loads a large amount of goods. When a fire occurs can cause massive damage. In Korea, rack-type warehouses are installed with sprinklers and fire detectors in accordance with national fire safety codes. In case of rack-type warehouse fires in Korea, sufficient fire protection performance could not be secured. In this study, the horizontal barrier was analyzed by fire simulation to improve the fire protection performance of rack type warehouse. As a result of the fire simulation, it was possible to prevent the vertical spread of the fire when the horizontal barrier was installed over a certain length. In addition, in the case of installing a horizontal barrier and installing fire detectors under the horizontal barrier, it was possible to detect the fire early compared to the existing way of fire detector installation. When the horizontal barrier is installed, the temperature distribution under the horizontal barrier is higher than when the horizontal barrier is not installed, and the sprinkler head can be operated early due to the heat collecting effect.

        중복도형 인텔리전트빌딩 화재시 연기제어를 통한 피난안전성 확보에 관한 연구

        This study investigated the smoke blocking and control systems for the safety of residents evacuation and for the prevention of smoke spread through the central corridor in the event of central corridor type of intelligent building fire. We offered additional ways of utilizing smoke ventilators and intake ventilation equipment and utilized CFD-based fire simulation program(FDS Ver.5.5.3) in order to analyze the effect. As a result, many differences in the smoke block effect, depending on the application of smoke ventilator and location of installation, was found. In addition, the result was found that larger effect was showed not in the case of application of smoke ventilator in central corridor only but application in fire room. The reason is that the smoke leakage is blocked primarily as air is flowed in the fire room through open door by operation of intake smoke ventilator in the public corridor and secondarily, the smoke leakage to the public corridor could be blocked as fire and smoke were released to the opened smoke ventilator continuously. Especially, the effect was maximized through complex interactions by applying smoke ventilator and intake ventilation equipment in corridor together rather than applying smoke ventilator and intake ventilation equipment independently. The proposed measure through this study shall be considered from architectural plan as one of ways for blocking from smoke spread to the central corridor in the central corridor type of intelligent building. In addition, flaws on regulation shall be established and supplemented.
