웹 기반 독서 인증 시스템의 검토와 독서 과정을 고려한 보완 방안

이 논문의 목적은 독서 교육의 한 방안으로 실시되고 있는 웹 기반 독서 인증 시스템에 대해서 검토하고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 보완 방안을 제안하는데 있다. 독서 인증제의 목적은 독서를 생활화와 독서 능력 향상에 있다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위해서 독서 인증 과정은, 학생들이 지속적으로 독서하는 습관을 기를 수 있어야 하고, 학생들의 다양한 독서 반응을 수용할 수 있어 야 한다. 또 자기 주도적인 독서가 가능하도록 독서의 보조자 역할을 할 수 있어야 하며, 인지적 독서 능력 외 정의적 독서 능력이나 상위 인지 독서 능력의 향상도 고려해야 한다. 현재 실시되고 있는 웹 기반 독서 인증 시스템은 문제 풀기라는 한 가지 방식이 중심이 되어, 학생들의 다양한 독서 반응을 수용하지 못하고 있으며, 인지적 독서 능력 외 정의적 독서 능력이나 상위 인지 독서 능력을 향상시키기에 부족하다. 그리고 독서 인증이 결과 중심으로만 이루어져 학생들의 독서 보조자의 역할을 하지 못하여, 원래 독서 인증제가 의도하고 있는 목적을 제대로 달성하지 못하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 독서 과정을 고려한 독서 인증 방안을 제안하였다. 이러 한 독서 인증 과정은 학생들의 독서를 이끌어 줄 수 있는 역할을 하고, 여러 가지 안내가 제시된 독후감 쓰기, 독서 토의, 통합 읽기 과정을 통해 학생들은 다양한 독서 반응을 표현할 수 있다. 독서 이력 점검 과정은 그동안 소홀히 다루어 왔던 학생들의 상위 인지 독서 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안으로 제안하였다. 앞으로 독서 인증제가 학생들의 독서 생활에 더 유의미한 역할을 하기 위해서는, 책의 의미를 내면화할 수 있는 독서 활동 방안이 다양하게 연구 되어야 한다. 독서 인증은 독서 교육을 위한 여러 방안 중의 하나의 방안 이다. 하나의 방안만이 중심이 되어서는 독서교육의 효과를 보기 어렵다. 사회에서 가정에서 학교에서 독서를 위한 여러 가지 방안과 노력들이 꾸준히 함께 어울려 진행될 때 비로소 독서는 하나의 문화로그 사회에 정착 할 수 있다. The purpose of this study is to examine the reading certification system based on Web, then to propose the improvement of it. For the sake of achieving the purpose, to begin win, the reading certification system must help students to be used to the reading habit. Second, it must be able to accept various response of reading students. Third, it must be able to play role of the reading assistant for self-leading reading. Lastly it must consider not only recognitive reading ability but also emotional reading ability and meta-recognitive reading ability. Up to now, the reading certification system based on Web has been carried out by one way. So it is being not able to accept various response of reading students. It wants improving emotional or meta-recognitive reading ability. It can't play role of the reading assistant, because it focuses on the results of reading. Consequently, it can't achieve the original purpose which it intents. This study suggests the reading certification system considered reading process. It can play role to lead students' reading. It can accept various response of reading students, by writing impression with various guidance, reading discussion, unified reading. This study searches for the method to improve meta-recognitive reading ability by examining reading records. In the future, for the reading certification system to be beneficial to students's reading life, the method, which can internalize the meaning of reading through various reading activities, must be searched continually. The reading certification system is one of ways for reading education. Only one way can't easily make reading education effective. In the society, at home, in the school, until ways and efforts for reading are carried out harmoniously, reading will be established as culture in the society.

읽기 인증 시범 사업 : 영어책 읽기의 효과 및 인식변화

The study was conducted to investigate the effects that reading English books had on the reading comprehension of college students, as well as to examine their attitude towards reading. A total number of 115 Korean EFL learners participated in the study. A pretest was administered in Week 7 and the treatment lasted for 6 weeks, followed by a posttest. Their reading comprehension was tested through WPM (word per minute) analysis, and their opinion towards reading these English books was collected through a survey designed to analyze these opinions. Moreover, an interview was also conducted to examine the learners’ overall perception on the reading of English books. The results showed that the treatment group enhanced reading competency when it came to reading English textbooks, and that their attitude towards reading English books was very positive. Finally, the results also suggested a variety of advantages and disadvantages of reading English textbooks. The quantitative and the qualitative results demonstrate that reading English books can be effective for enhancing reading comprehension in the EFL classroom. 이 연구는 영어책 읽기가 대학생들의 영어책 읽기 능력에 효과가 있는지 아울러 학습자들의 영어책 읽기에 대한 인식은 어떠한지를 연구한 것이다. 총 115명의 EFL 한국 학생들이 이 연구에 참여하였다. 사전 검사를 7번째 주에 실시하였고 실험을 6주 동안 계속해 그 후에 사후 검사를 하였다. 학습자들의 읽기 능력은 WPM (분당 단어수)로 측정하였고 영어책 읽기에 대한 학습자들의 인식은 그들의 의견을 분석하도록 고안된 설문조사를 통해 수집되었다. 또한 학습자들의 영어책 읽기에 대한 전반적인 의견을 검사해 보고자 인터뷰가 실시되었다. 연구결과는 영어책 읽기를 한 실험집단이 영어책 읽기를 했을 때 읽기 능력이 향상되었고 영어책 읽기에 대한 그들의 인식도 긍정적이었다. 인터뷰 결과는 영어책 읽기에 대한 다양한 장점과 단점을 제시해 주었다. 결론적으로 이 실험의 양적 연구결과와 질적 연구결과는 영어책 읽기가 EFL 교실에서 읽기 능력을 향상시켜주는데 효과적일 수 있다는 것을 제시해 주었다.

학교 독서운동과 독서교육

This paper examined the reading campaigns recently developed in the school :Reading Certification System(Comprehensive Support System for Reading Education,CSSRE), Morning Reading Movement, and Reading Discussion. The fruits of CSSRE representative of Reading Certification Program is to help the students participate in various reading activities. The results of Morning Reading Movement is that reading amount and reading time increase in an alarming way, and the atmosphere immersed in reading is excellently produced. Reading Discussion in classroom have an effect on the constructing and developing meaning through the interaction between the students,the inner growth of students, and the learning in other subjects. There are many problems to be solved in reading campaigns in the school. The first,most of reading campaigns in the school focus on the increase of quantity of reading. Secondly, students participated in reading campaigns have an difficulties in feeling the pleasure of reading because they are given too many and heavy after-reading activities. The third, reading is emphasized as a means to attain good scores in achievement test,to explore for the career to pursue, and to develop the thinking power. The fourth,most of reading campaigns in the school are carried out in extra time. The fifth, they are that is originally projected and arose in foreign countries, after that introduced and enforced into the our classroom. 본고는 근래 대표적인 학교 독서운동―독서인증제, 아침독서운동, 독서토론―의 실천 모습과 문제점을 살펴보았다. 독서인증제는 독서했음을 공인해 주는 독서 장려 활동을 말하는데 독서교육종합지원시스템이 대표적이다. 독서교육종합지원시스템은 우수한 접근성과 데이터의 효과적인 관리로 독서량, 독서 영역, 독서 주제, 독서 경향 등을 살피기에 좋았다. 아침독서운동은 아침 시간을 이용하여 독서하는 운동을 말하는데, 독서량 증가, 독서시간 확보, 독서 분위기 조성에 효과적이었다. 독서토론은 매우 보편적으로사용되는 독서 활동으로서 학교에서는 특별한 시간에 특별한 소수의 인원이참여하는 모습을 보였다. 독서토론은 읽은 결과를 공유하고 발전시키는 경험을 제공하고, 참여자의 내적 성장과 학교 공부에 유용하다. 학교 독서운동은 몇 가지 문제점도 있었다. 첫째, 학교 독서운동이 대부분양적 접근에 치우쳐 있다. 앞으로의 학교 독서운동은 독서력의 신장을 목표로 하는 질적 접근으로 전환할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 과다하고 부담스런 독후활동으로 독서의 즐거움이 상실되는 문제점이 있었다. 독후활동에 대한 부담을 줄여서 읽기에 집중할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 셋째, 학교 독서운동에서는독서를 학업 성취, 진로 탐색, 사고력 훈련 등의 수단으로 강조하는 경향이강했다. 학교 독서운동에서 우선 독서의 즐거움을 강조하도록 해야 한다. 넷째, 학교 독서운동 대부분이 정규 교과 외의 활동이나 시간을 통해 이루어지고 있었다. 향후에는 정규 교과 시간에 본격적으로 독서 활동을 도입하는방안을 고려할 필요가 있다. 다섯째, 학교 독서운동이 외국 독서운동의 모방에 그치는 경우가 많았다. 이제는 우리 현실을 감안하여 학생들의 정신적성숙도를 높이는 측면으로 보완하여 접근하는 것이 바람직하다.

대학필독서를 활용한 교양교육 사례 연구 ― 한림대학교 교과, 비교과 영역 운영을 중심으로

Recently, the content and form of general education have been changed by the reading and the writing or the discussion based on the reading. The source of this education is the required reading book. This paper presented a concrete education model using the required reading book which is related with the identity of general education. This paper focused on the practical operation of the curriculum and extra-curriculum program based on the required reading book. In Chapter 2, I looked at the selection criteria and the required reading book lists of each universities, and emphasized that it was necessary to move away from selection criteria of universality and value neutrality, classic-centered authority. The selection criteria and characteristics of Hallym University's required reading book reflected the students' reading level and timeliness, and considered the appropriate proportion of classic books(or great books). And I proposed to take an open stance that it can be changed according to the change of the age and the direction of the university education in the selection of required reading book. In chapter3, this paper introduced the case of reading report which is submitted twice a semester in the curriculum <Reading and Writing>. The students read one chapter of the book and wrote according to the topic in fist report, while in second report, reading a book and writing a book review. In the case of Hallym University, the reading and writing based on the required reading book, and linking with the required credits, the thesis that can look at the issues of our society are the clear distinction with the other universities’s reading and writing programs. In Chapter 4, I introduced the ‘Simbyus Reading Debate Competition’ as the case of extra-curriculum program based on the required reading book. This reading debate focused on cooperation and symbiosis rather than competition, and gave the concrete guideline in the orientation for the students who were unfamiliar with the process of debate. And then that made the unique reading debate model focused on Hallym university. In conclusion, this paper proposed to re-examine the framework of reading-writing and reading-speaking education focused on the first grade only, and to re-design a systematic road map in the whole course of college general education. 최근 들어 책읽기, 그리고 책읽기 기반 글쓰기나 토론으로 교양교육의 내용과 형식이 변화하고 있다. 이 교육의 원천소스가 바로 필독서이다. 본고는대학 교양교육에서 필독서의 정체성 내지 존재의의를 따져보고, 필독서를 활용한 구체적인 교육 모델을 제시하였다. 한림대학교 소통기초 교과목인 <읽기와 쓰기>에서 독서보고서 쓰기, 비교과 프로그램인 4통(通) 프로그램의 하나인 심비우스독서토론대회가 그것이다. 본고는 교과와 비교과 연계, 필독서 기반 프로그램의 실질적 운영에초점을 맞춰 기술하였다. 2장에서는 각 대학 필독서의 선정기준과 목록을 살펴보고, 보편성과 가치중립성이라는 선정기준, 고전 중심의 권위를 탈피할 필요가 있다고 보았다. 한림대 필독서의 선정 기준과 특징은 학생들의 독서수준과 시의성을 반영하고, 동서양 고전의 적절한 비율 안배를 고려했다는 점이다. 필독서 선정 작업에서 시대 변화와 대학 교육의 지향점에 따라 변경 가능하다는 개방적 자세를취할 것을 제안했다. 3장 필독서의 교과 연계 운영방안에서는 <읽기와 쓰기> 교과목에서 한학기에 2회 시행되는 독서보고서 작성 사례를 소개하였다. 1회 차는 책의 한챕터를 읽고, 논제에 맞게 글을 쓰는 형식, 2회 차는 한 권의 책을 읽고 서평을 작성하는 것으로 차별을 두었다. 한림대의 경우 필독서 기반 읽기-쓰기, 필수이수 학점과 연계, 신입생들의 읽기 능력을 고려한 한 장(chapter)과 한 책읽기, 현실 사회의 쟁점을 톺아볼 수 있는 논제 개발, 체계적인 첨삭상담 등에서 다른 대학의 읽기-쓰기 수업과 차별성을 띤다. 4장 필독서의 비교과 연계 운영에서는 심비우스 독서토론대회 운영사례를서술했다. 경쟁보다는 협력과 공생에 초점을 맞춘 점, 텍스트에서 문제의식을도출하고 토론을 하는 과정에 익숙하지 않은 학생들을 고려하여 사전 오리엔테이션에서 점검사항을 상세히 안내한 점, 토론의 집중성을 위해 한림대식토론대회 모델을 고안한 점을 특성으로 들었다. 결론에서는 일반적으로 1학년에게만 집중된 읽기-쓰기, 읽기-말하기 교육의 틀을 재점검하고, 대학 교양교육 전 과정에서 필독서 기반 교과, 비교과프로그램이 운영될 수 있도록 체계적인 로드맵을 설계할 것을 제안했다.

대학 교양/기초 교육으로서의 독서교육 방향 탐색

In the current university education that only emphasizes practicality and job conformance, cultivating interdisciplinary knowledge through reading education can be a god way to satisfy the original goal of university education. Universities are already inducing students to read books through various reading encouragement programs and managing or developing subjects related to reading education in general education level. This study aimed to review how they are managed, what kind of problems they have, and search for ways of reading education in university. First of all, this study examined the current reading programs of universities and their problems. After reviewing the current status and problems of the common reading programs of universities such as ‘presenting recommended books’, ‘reading certificate system’, and ‘provision of mileage’, it suggested the necessity of staged reading programs with the level of composition nearing that of subjects such as freshmen reading programs of American universities. Then, it presented the necessity of reading education linked with subjects and examined the current status and ways to develop that. It analyzed the status of introducing and developing the subject of reading education at the general education level in universities in 2000, and explored ways of effective reading education by connecting systematic reading and discussion-linked reading. This study focused on how to realize reading education that aims to cultivate interdisciplinary knowledge than on functional and practical reading. In the reality of Korea where ‘Liberal Arts’ and ‘Discipline’ are divided, reading education is expected to serve the important role of closing the gap between the two.

독후감 검증 키워드를 통한 독서 인증제의 문제점과 보완 방안

이 연구는 학생들의 독서에 대한 흥미와 동기를 유발시키고 올바른 독 서 습관 형성을 위해 마련된 독서 교육의 한 방안인 독서 인증제의 여러 가지 인증 방식 중, 독후감 키워드 검증의 문제점과 보완 방안을 마련하는 데 초점을 두었다. 검증 실태의 문제점은 현재 독서 인증제를 시범 운영하고 있는 초등학교와 중등학교 학생들의 자료를 토대로 분석 기술하고, 그 문제점을 밝혔다. 초등학교와 중학교 학생들의 독서 인증 실태를 살펴 보니, 책 본문을 그대로 인용하거나 독후감 속에 내용과 관련 없는 문자를 기록한 경우도 인증이 되고 있었다. 반면에, 글 줄거리보다는 감상을 중심으로 쓴 감상문 은 오히려 인증되지 않아 독후감 검증 키워드 방식의 한계를 보여 주었다. 그러므로 독후감 검증 키워드 방식의 장점을 살리는 방향으로 이 프로그램을 보완하려면, 학생들의 독후감 쓰기보다는 독후감 검증 키워드를 이용 한 이야기 만들기, 줄거리 완성하기와 같은 방법을 사용하는 것이 효과적 이 다. 또한, 선정된 책 속에서 검증에 적합한 키워드를 선정하는 단계를 제시 하였다. 먼저, 선정 원리를 밝히고 원리에 따라, 어휘 빈도수를 조사하고, 텍스트 분석을 통한 핵심어 조사, 교육용 어휘를 기준으로 한 독후감 키워드 수준 검토, 유의어 검색을 토대로 어휘량을 확장하는 단계를 거치는 실례를 보였다. 따라서, 이러한 과정은 학생들의 독후 활동 검증에 좀더 정확한 평가로 이루질 수 있으리라 본다. The purpose of this paper is focusing on finding the problem of keyword and drawing up a plan for fundemental improvement, which is one of ways for reading certification program being made for inducing any interest and motivation. The problem of verifying is stated and unveiled with materials of students in the elementary school and middle school, which is performing it as a trial recently. As looking into the status of reading certification system for the students of in the elementary school and middle school, many have being performed to quote the original text or state irrelavant characters with the actual contents of a description of their impressions. On the other hand, the description of impressions focusing on the impressions rather than the plots shows the limitation against the verification methods of keyword since it has not been certificated. Therefore, if we can improve this program to stand out merits of the methods of keyword certification, it will be efficient to create stories with the keyword, completing plots, etc other than writing impressions through students' reading. As well, the after-reading activities of students would be recognized more exactly, as choosing the keyword in a book via the systemical steps.

독서 토론 프로그램 운영의 성과와 과제 - 충북대학교의 사례를 중심으로 -

The purpose of the study is to review the operational performance and challenge of the reading program of Chungbuk National University(CBNU). The main reading progarm of CBNU is a <Reading Club 'Pass through a book'>. The program’s team consists of nine students and a researcher. They read and discuss one book a week.. Eight weeks during the semester, six weeks during the vacation, it runs for 32 weeks every year. So far, more than 800 students have been completed. CBNU is more extracurricular program than the regular curriculum. This resulted in the building of the foundation of the integrated reading. To activate and settle reading education, a reading club and a reading certification system must be institutionalized. For this purpose, a list of recommended books should be created at the Policy Level and the financial support should be strengthened.

독서 인증을 위한 평가 문항의 제작 기법 연구

이 연구는 독서 인증을 위한 평가문항의 제작 기법을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 논문에서는 먼저 독서 인증 평가와 측정, 검사의 차이점을 밝히고, 독서 능력 평가의 범위를 구체적으로 제시하였다. 다음으로 독서 능력 평가의 유형과 원리를 제시하고 그에 따른 구체적인 평가 기법을 제시하였다. 또한 기법의 실제를 언급하면서, 독서 평가 문항 제작자의 자격에 대해 언급하고 좋은 독서 평가 문항의 조건을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 문항 제작의 절차에 대해 언급하고 그 절차에 따른 구체적인 기법을 실례를 중심으로 다양하게 제시하였다. The purpose of the study was to make clear the method of the evaluation for reading certification. For this purpose, at first, this study show the difference of the conception: a evaluation, a measurement, a examination. And this study present the category of evaluation about reading ability, specifically. Next, this study present the pattern and principle, a method of evaluation, for reading certification. And, this study indicate that the qualification of the person who make evaluating question about reading ability. At the same time, this study present the condition of a good evaluating question. At the last, this study present the making procedure and example of a question about reading ability.

중등 영어 임용시험 영시 분석과 고등학교 교과목 <영미문학읽기>를 활용한 개선 방안

This study analyzes the English poems which were on the Secondary School English Teacher Certification Exam and recommends suitable poems for the exam by observing a high school class subject, entitled English Literature Reading. The previous exam poems were analyzed according to their special topics like “death” or difficulty levels of sentence structure in relation to an actual educational field. Other exam poems were examined with regard to their subjects concerning child literature or contemporary social issues. The previous exam poems, however, did not reflect enough actual educationa field for the EFL students. The Education Ministry plan for the English Literature Reading suggests using children’s poetry and songs as class room text, and engaging in writing and reading poetry activities. To improve the utilization of English poetry in EFL classrooms, it is crucial for the English Teacher Certification Exam to consider the actual education field.

자기주도적 독서를 위한 독서인증제도 연구

The purpose of this paper is to look at the reading certification programs run by universities and to find the direction in which a college s reading education will proceed. In the course of the course, Paichai University presented detailed examples of its reading certification system, sharing its achievements, and suggesting ways for future reading certification programs. Paichai University s reading certification is a basic activity for learners to read three books a semester, complete the ēvolútĭo book, and perform creative tasks. ēvolútĭo book is a workbook developed for reading certification at Paichai University, a summary of the bibliographic items and preface, creating a mind map, Keyword search, an impressive partial memo, transcription, finding a topic and writing one s thoughts. This reading certification activity is very meaningful in that it encourages students autonomous reading activities and leads to a critical and creative internalization process. Also, it suggests a desirable way for college students to pursue reading in the sense that it reject quantitative study based on evaluation and create a self-directed reading opportunity 이 논문은 대학에서 운영 중인 독서인증 프로그램을 살펴보면서 대학의 독서교육이 나아갈 방향을 모색하는 것에 목적을 둔다. 그 과정에서 배재대학교의 독서인증제도인 ‘읽기인증제도’ 사례를 자세히 소개하여 그 성과를 공유하고, 앞으로의 독서인증제도의 발전방안을 제언하였다. 배재대학교의 읽기인증은 학습자가 한 학기에 3권의 책을 읽은 뒤 에월루티오북을 작성하고, 창의적 과제를 수행하는것을 기본 활동으로 한다. 에월루티오북은 배재대학교 읽기인증을 위해 개발된 워크북으로 서지사항 요약, 서문 요약, 마인드맵 작성, 키워드 찾기, 인상적인 부분 메모, 필사하기, 주제 찾기, 자기 생각쓰기로 구성된다. 에월루티오북을 활용한 읽기인증 활동은 학습자의 자율적 독서 활동을 촉진하고, 비판적이고 창의적인 내면화 과정을 이끌어내며, 자기주도적 독서 능력을 강화한다는 점에서 매우 유의미하다. 또한 평가 중심의 양적 독서를 지양하고, 자기주도적 독서 계기를 만들어준다는 점에서 대학생 독서교육이 지향해야 할 바람직한 방안을 제시한다고 하겠다.
