      • Effects of Functional Strength Training Program on Functional Movement Screen and Y Balance Test in Physical Education Students

( Jing Li ),( Yi Liu ) 아시아스포츠융합과학회 2021 Asia Pacific Journal of Applied Sport Sciences Vol.2 No.3

PURPOSE To explore the effect of functional training on the FMS score and YBT test of sports college students with high risk of sports injury. METHOD A total of 42 students from 2 classes of the second-year physical education major of Shaoguan University were selected as the research objects, and they were randomly divided into an experimental group (n=21) and a control group (n=21). A 12-week functional training program was added to the physical education class of the experimental group, and the traditional strength training program was used in the control group. FMS test and YBT test were conducted one week before and one week after the 12-week training intervention. The collected data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 21.0 for Window. In this paper, independent-sample t test is used to compare the changes of FMS scores and action completion quality between the two groups before and after training, and paired-samples t test is used to test the scores of FMS and YBT before and after training. RESULT In the first FMS and YBT test, there was no significant difference between the control group and the experimental group. After 12 weeks, the total FMS score of the experimental group participating in functional training was significantly different from that of the control group participating in traditional strength training (p<0.01). The test scores of left and right legs in YBT test were also better than those of the control group. CONCLUSION Experiments have proved that functional training can significantly improve the core strength and body balance and stability of sports college students, and can effectively reduce the incidence of sports injuries. It also provides some reference for the scientific application of functional training in physical education class.

Effects of Dual Task Training on Balance and Functional Performance in High School Soccer Players with Functional Ankle Instability

        Kwak, Kwang-Il,Choi, Bum-Jin 대한물리치료학회 2016 대한물리치료학회지 Vol.28 No.4

Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the effects of dual task training on balance and functional performance in high school soccer players with functional ankle instability. Methods: Twenty high school soccer players with functional ankle instability were randomly assigned to a single task training group and a dual task training group. One participant who did not participate regularly in the training was excluded. The single task training group (n=9) received balance training on an unstable surface. The dual task training group (n=10) received balance training on an unstable surface and had to catch thrown balls during the balance training. Both groups were trained for 4 weeks, 3 days a week. The balance and functional performance of both groups was measured before and after training. Balance was measured using an anterior-posterior and medio-lateral balance. Functional performance was measured based on a figure-of-8 hop test, up-down hop test, and a single hop test. All data were analyzed by repeated two-way ANOVA tests. Results: A time by group interaction effect was not observed in the medio-lateral balance test, figure-of-8 hop test, or single hop test (p>0.05). A time by group interaction effect was observed in the anterior-posterior balance and up-down hop test (p<0.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that dual task training improved balance and functional performance better than single task training for some items.

        안근옥,이광진 대한운동학회 2021 아시아 운동학 학술지 Vol.23 No.1

[OBJECTIVES] The aim of this review study was to proposes a new paradigm of functional injury prevention(FIP) based on analysis of the effects of sports injury prevention(SIP) and functional training(FT). [METHODS] The literature used in the study is based on the electronic database and international papers published from 2014 to 2021 related to functional training were searched, screened and evaluated by using the follow keywords: functional training, sports injury, rehabilitation, and prevention. [RESULTS] FT was divided into the concept of training both improving the sports performance and restoring physical function in the field of rehabilitation. In two areas, FT and SIP are somewhat different in approach method, object and environment, but they are highly correlated that both the activation of proprioceptive sensation and integrated neuromuscular function are reflected in training program. Especially, intrinsic injury factors such as reduced physical ability, skills and conditioning are associated with reduction of sports performance and increased sports injury. In addition, decreased proprioceptive sensation and neuromuscular function is a typical symptom of reduction of sports performance and injury. Therefore, FIP is needed as a training program that not only to prevent sports injury but also to improve sports performance. [CONCLUSIONS] In this review study, FIP is propose as a new paradigm combining SIP and FT. The follow-up study of FIP should be reviewed on athletes, club members and the general public for the development of programs to prevent sports injury and improve sports performance and the effects by sports events, body parts and age.
