서울형혁신학교 교육과정에 기반한 초등학생의 핵심역량 및 하위지표 개발 연구

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop core competencies and sub-indicators of elementary school students as performance indicators that can measure the new academic ability, which is the theoretical foundation of Seoul-type Hyukshin School. Methodology: The author reviewed Seoul-type Hyukshin elementary school curriculum and performed one FGI(focus group interview) and two Delphi surveys for teachers and supervisors concerned. Results: This study shows that characteristics of elementary school students in Seoul are defined as 'children who make their lives happy and cooperate with one another.' The core competencies are divided into cognitive, social・emotional, and practical ones. Value: First, the evaluation of Hyukshin schools is prepared with a performance index that can be measured with a new view of academic background that encompasses cognitive ability. Second, five basic spirits of Seoul-type Hyukshin School are established along with student competency reflecting the specificity of elementary school class. Third, as part of the competencies of elementary school students, practical competency is included to combine life and education. 본 연구는 서울형혁신학교의 이론적 토대인 새로운 학력을 측정할 수 있는 성과지표로서, 초등학생의 핵심역량과 하위지표를 개발하였다. 이를 위해 서울형 혁신초등학교의 교육과정 고찰, 혁신학교 부장경력이 있는 5명의 교사를 대상으로 한 1회의 FGI와 혁신학교 교사, 혁신학교 교장, 혁신학교 업무 담당 장학사 20명을 대상으로 두 차례의 델파이 조사를 진행하였다. 연구 결과 서울초등 학생상을 ‘자신의 삶을 행복하고 더불어 사는 삶으로 가꾸는 어린이’로 정의하고 핵심역량을 지성을 기르는 인지역량, 감성과 건강을 키우는 사회‧정서역량 및 자신의 삶과 지속 가능한 세상을 가꾸는 실천역량으로 구분하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생의 전인적 발달을 목표로 학교의 변화를 시도해 온 혁신학교 평가를 인지능력을 포괄하는 새로운 학력관으로 측정‧평가할 수 있는 성과지표를 마련하였다. 둘째, 인권과 평등, 책임과 공공성, 자율과 창의, 자발과 참여, 소통과 협력이라는 서울형혁신학교의 5대 기본정신과 초등이라는 급별 특수성이 반영된 학생역량을 정립하였다. 셋째, 초등학생역량의 한 부분으로 실천역량이 포함되어 삶과 교육이 결합된 교육과정 재구성 및 수업 설계가 가능한 학습주제를 형성하였다.
