단층진단법을 이용한 축대칭 부분예혼합 화염의 자발광 스펙트럼 해석에 관한 연구

Visible spectral characteristics of cross-sectional emissions from a partially premixed methane/air and propane/air flames have been investigated. An optical train with a two-axis scanning mirror system was used to record line-of-sight emission spectra from 354nm to 618nm, and inversion technique was adapted to obtain cross-sectional emission spectra. By analyzing the reconstructed emission spectra, cross-sectional intensities of CH and $C_2$ radicals were separated from the background emissions. The blue flame edge and yellow flame edge were also obtained by image processing technique for edge detection with color photograph of flame. These edges were compared with radial distributions of CH, $C_2$ radicals and background emissions. The CH radicals were observed at blue flame edge. The background emissions were generated by soot precursor at upstream of flame and by soot at downstream of flame. The $C_2$ radicals in propane/air flame were observed more than those in methane/air flame.

So most practical combustor is considered to the swirl flame, it is very important to examinate swirl flame structure and combustion characteristics. Recently, attention has been paid to the flame diagnostic by radical luminous intensity. For swirl flame structure and combustion characteristic, reverse flow boundary, temperature, ion current and radical luminous intensity were measured in the double-coaxial swirl combustor which was used principle of multi-annular combustor. This study had three experimental condition, S-type, C-type, SC-type. S-type and C-type flames were formed recirculation zone, but SC-type flame wasn't formed. C-type flame had two recirculation zone. The position with maximum value of ion current and CH-radical, temperature and OH-radical had similarity distribution almost. Therefore, it is possible that the macro structure of flame was measured by radical luminous intensity in the high intensity of turbulent combustion field which was formed by swirl.

Recently, attention has been paid to the flame diagnostic by noncontact methods which dose not deform the flame shape. One of them is a method which is using the radical luminous intensity. Generally, this diagnostic method using radical luminous has been investigated its reliability by applying to laminar flame. This study, however, investigated each radical luminous signals through stocastical analysis like auto-correlation, cross-correlation, phase and coherence which were acquired from measuring radical luminous intensity of OH, CH, $O_{2}$, radicals in turbulent diffusion flame. To compare radical luminous intensity in flame with temperature, ion current and concentration , radious distribution of each properties was investigated and considered. In radical luminous intensity, correlation in the reaction zone of flame was higher than in correlation in combusted gas zone. And radious distribution of radical luminous intensity was corresponded with radious distribution of temperature, ion current and concentration. The result of the study confirms that a radical luminous flame diagnosis is possible in the turbulent diffusion flame.

The objective of the project was the development of an optical approach which would indicate the presence of a flame and detect deviations from a desired set point. In this work, the flame quality indicator consisted of photodiode, optical fiber, interference filter and data acquisition system, and was tested in a lab-scale methane combustion system. It was needed to apply this system to pilot scale combustor in order to confirm whether temporal fluctuations might be correlated with important parameters of combustion process, such as fuel to air ratio and NO_(x) emissions or not.

Recent trend changes a criterion for evaluation of humors that environmental problems are raised as a global issue. Burners with higher thermal efficiency and lower oxygen in the exhaust gas, evaluated better. To comply with environmental regulations, burners must satisfy the NO/sub x/ and CO regulation. Consequently, 'good burner'means one whose thermal efficiency is high under the constraint of NO/sub x/ and CO consistency. To make existing burner satisfy recent criterion, it is highly recommended to develop a feedback control scheme whose output is the consistency of NO/sub x/ and CO. This paper describes the development of a real time flame diagnosis technique that evaluate and diagnose the combustion states, such as consistency of components in exhaust gas, stability of flame in the quantitative sense. In this paper, it was proposed on the flame diagnosis technique of burner using Neuro-Fuzzy algorithm. This study focuses on the relation of the color of the flame and the state of combustion. Neuro-Fuzzy loaming algorithm is used in obtaining the fuzzy membership function and rules. Using the constructed inference algorithm, the amount of NO/sub x/ and CO of the combustion gas was successfully inferred.
