In this paper, I suggest a framework or category that provides systematical understanding of the relationship between the so called “supreme principle” of the Categorical Imperative presented in Groundwork of the Metaphyics of Morals (GMS) and its formulations. The very framework is personal relationships. I distinguish the formulations of Categorical Imperative into one general formulation and many special formulations. By dividing CI into these two types, I argue that Kant's own ambiguous statements about the relations of the formulations can be consistently and systematically understood. I will present the concept of freedom as a priori, necessary condition that justifies the substantial values of the special formulations of CI, based on Kant's transcendental argument or the inference to the best explanation. I argue that under these conditions, special formulas can be systematically linked and unified. 필자는 『정초』에서 제시된 정언명령의 정식들을 하나의 일반 정식과 다수의 특수 정식들로 이원적으로 분류하고자 한다. 이러한 분류에 의거할 경우, 정언명령의 정식들에 관한 칸트 자신의 애매하고 따라서 논쟁을 불러일으키는 일부 진술들을 정합적으로 그리고 체계적으로 이해할 수 있다고 본다. 칸트의 초월적 논증과 그 논증의 핵심적인 측면을 잘 보여주고 있는 최선의 설명에로의 추론에 의거해서, 필자는 ‘자유’를 특수 정식들이 추구하는 실질적 가치들을 정당화시켜주는 선험적인 조건으로 제시하고자 한다. 이 선험적 조건을 통해서, 정언명령의 정식들을 통일적인 관점에서 해석할 수 있다고 필자는 주장한다. 필자는 『정초』에서 제시된 도덕의 최상 원리로서의 정언명령의 정식들(또는 법식들) 간의 관계를 체계적으로 이해할 수 있는 틀로서 ‘인칭적 관계’를 제시하고자 한다.
