중공사 형태의 마이크로파 감응형 유전발열소재 제조 기술 개발 연구

산업공정 및 가정에서 사용되는 마이크로파는 300 MHz에서 300GHz의 주파수 범위의 전자기파이며, 그 중 가장 많이 사용되는 주파수는 2.450MHz로써, 일반적으로 물체의 가열이나 건조에 사용되어지고 있다. 마이크로파 가열은 일반가열과는 달리 피가열물 자체가 마이크로파를 흡수하여 부피발열 하는 발열체가 되기 때문에 주위의 공기나 가열장치 등을 가열하는 손실이 없어 높은 열효율을 얻을 수 있다. 이러한 마이크로파에 감응하여 발열하는 유전발열물질은 Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, ZrO<sub>2</sub>, ferrite 등의 금속산화물과 SiC 등의 비금속산화물로 구분되어 진다. 산업공정에서의 건조나 소결공정에 적용하기 위한 유전발열물질은 넓은 비표면적과 높은 내열특성을 필요로 하나 이에 관련한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 마이크로파에 감응하여 발열하는 유전발열소재를 비용매 상전이유도법을 이용한 중공사(hollow fiber) 형태의 소재로 제조하여 제조 조건(배합비, 방사속도)에 따른 발열성능을 확인하기 위한 기초 연구를 수행하였다.

The dielectric heating is being applied to various materials such as conductive, plastic, wood, textiles and so on. Most of dielectric heating system are accepted by a vacuum tube circuit and being used at the industrial plant. But it has some weaknesses for economic aspect of electric power efficiency and cost, environmental aspect of poor working circumstance. Diverse technical methods are introduced to improve such weaknesses currently, the dielectric heating with power MOSFET is tried and it becomes the representative technology. On this paper, we proposed new designed heating system with MOSFET technology to replace the older one with vacuum tube. We evaluated its excellent performance with obtaining various outputs from a trial product.

Microwave heating is a process in which the materials couple with microwave, absorb the electromagnetic energy volumetrically, and transform it into heat. This heating mechanism is advantageous to rapid heating rates, uniform heating, selective energy absorption, high efficiency and reduced costs. This paper presents a review of microwave heating application furnace Based on the results of this experiment, we plan to use it as design data for a 75㎾ microwave furnace. 고성능 상용튜브를 사용한 태양열 가열 해양온도차발전용 열교환기 설계 최적화

태양열 가열을 도입한 해양온도차발전용 열교환기(증발기와 응축기)설계 최적화가 수행되었다. 출력은 100kW이고 작동유체는 R134a이며 고성능 상용튜브를 사용하였다. 열전달면적과 압력강하는 관수의 증가와 관통로수의 감소에 따라 서로 상반되는 경향이 존재하므로 이를 해결하기 위하여, 설비투자비에 관련되는 열전달면적과 압력강하에 관련되는 운전비용 최소화를 고려한 두 목적함수를 갖는 유전자 알고리즘(GA)을 이용하여 다목적설계최적화를 수행하였다. 설계최적화 결과, 구현 가능한 최적의 열전달면적 및 압력강하의 조합들이 적정한 관수 및 관통로 수에 대하여 존재하였다. 도출된 증발기와 응축기의 Pareto 선들은 설계자들에게 재정적인 면을 고려하여 선택할 수 있도록 넓은 범위의 최적해를 제공하였다. 또한, 총열전달면적 중 응축기의 열전달면적이 증발기 쪽보다 크게 나타났다. In this study, the optimal design of heat exchangers, including the evaporator and condenser of a solarheating ocean thermal energy conversion (SH-OTEC), is investigated. The power output of the SH-OTEC is assumed to be 100 kW, and the SH-OTEC uses the working fluid of R134a and high-performance commercial tubes. The surface heat transfer area and the pressure drop were strongly dependent on the number of tubes, as well as the number of tube passes. To solve the reciprocal tendency between the heat transfer area and pressure drop with respect to the number of tubes, as well as the number of tube passes, a genetic algorithm (GA) with two objective functions of the heat transfer area (the capital cost) and operating cost (pressure drop) was used. Optimal results delineated the feasible regions of heat transfer area and operating cost with respect to the pertinent number of tubes and tube passes. Pareto fronts of the evaporator and condenser obtained from multi-objective GA provides designers or investors with a wide range of optimal solutions so that they can select projects suitable for their financial resources. In addition, the surface heat transfer area of the condenser took up a much higher percentage of the total heat transfer area of the SH-OTEC than that of the evaporator.
마이크로웨이브를 이용한 소성로의 성능 특성에 관한 연구

In this paper, we investigated the heating characteristics of ceramic dielectric susceptor under various test conditions using microwave energy. Microwave sintering furnace for temperature increasing characteristics of ceramic dielectric susceptor was manufactured and its performance test was conducted. A multi-mode type cubic applicator was used, and a magnetron which generates output of 25kW and operates at a 915MHz was equipped in this microwave furnace. The effect on the temperature increasing characteristics according to the microwave power and the change of the operating conditions of test samples was analysed experimentally. As a result, we have obtained basic design data for high temperature microwave sintering furnace.
슬랩의 균열도 향상과 연료 절감을 위한 직접가열식 가열로 내 온도 분포의 최적 설계

Since the reheating furnace consumes a large amount of energy to heat up the slabs, it is very important to find an optimal temperature patterns in the furnace for energy saving as well as uniform target temperature at the exit of the furnace. In this study, the temperature profiles in the slab are determined by solving the transient two-dimensional heat conduction equation in conjunction with boundary conditions with total heat exchange factors. The design of optimal temperature patterns is performed by using three optimization algorithms, which consist of a micro genetic algorithm (μ-GA), conjugated gradient method (CGM) and sequential linear programming (SLP), to identify the optimal results obtained from each algorithm. It can be seen that the consistent optimal results for each optimization algorithm are produced with the uniform target temperature of the slab and energy saving.
마이크로웨이브를 이용한 음식물 슬러지의 건조 특성에 관한 연구

Following to the London Dumping Convention which banned ocean dumping since 2013, the motivation of this research is to exploit the food sludge as resources. For this purpose the features of drying food sludge by dielectric heating were examined through the experiment as well as the numerical analysis. The experiment was performed in a 600 W home microwave. The container wear made of Styrofoam, ceramic, and glass beaker. Five containers were heated for 10 minutes with 2-minute time steps, and then the weight of each containers was measured. The numerical analysis was done assuming that the properties of food sludge are identical with those of water. The heat conduction equation was established to calculate the three dimensional unsteady heat conduction which is heated in a fixed rate. This heat conduction equation was solved using the finite difference method with the basis of the central difference method.
