영화 〈족구왕〉에 드러난 의미 없는 행위의 정치성과 상상적 연대 가능성에 대해서

〈족구왕〉은 2010년대에 개봉한 한국 영화중에서 신자유주의라는 지배질서에 맞서 대항할 방법으로 의미 없는 행위를 제시하고 나아가 새 연대의 가능성을 보여주고 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 그런데 영화에서 제시한 새 연대의 모습은 지금 이곳에서 실현 가능한 연대가 아닌 상상적 연대이다. 이는 새 연대가 신자유주의라는 체제에 맞서기 위해 결성된 것임에도 정작 그 체제와 중첩된 가부장적 이데올로기는 전혀 문제 삼지 않고 오히려 철저히 그 질서를 따르고 있었기 때문이다. 이에 따르면 새 연대는 연대의 시발점에서부터 젠더 위계를 나누는 등 배제를 기본 질서로 규정하고 있는 셈이다. 하지만 연대는 어떤 변화를 위한 과정 중의 하나가 아니라 그 자체가 달성되어야 할 고유한 가치이다. 이를 가장 최우선의 목표로 두고 그것이 달성되는 과정에서는 어떤 구별 짓기도, 차별도, 위계도 나누지 않아야 할 것이다. 배제하는 것 자체를 배제할 때 새 연대의 가능성은 먼 미래 혹은 상상 속에서만 존재하는 것이 아니라 지금 여기에서 실현 가능한 것이 될 것이다. Among Korean movies released in the early 2010s, The King of Jokgu is significance for describing the possibility of a new solidarity, by presenting meaningless acts as a way of countering the dominant order of neoliberalism. However, the image of the new solidarity presented in the film is not one that can be realized here, but is rather an imaginary solidarity. This is because it was meant to confront neoliberalism, but was prevented from doing this by the existing patriarchal ideology which followed the neoliberal system without objection. Accordingly, new solidarity regulates its exclusion as a basic order, such as sharing the gender hierarchy from the starting point of the coalition. However, solidarity is not one of the various processes for change, but a unique value that must be achieved by itself. This should be the most important goal and there should not be any discrimination, or hierarchy in the process of achieving solidarity. When excluding exclusion itself, the possibility of the new solidarity is not limited to distant future or the imagination, but can be realized here in the present.

상상된 아시아의 화합축제, 극동올림픽 : 극동올림픽 관련 스포츠이벤트에 대한 조선인의 인식을 중심으로

본 연구는 아시아의 일원이면서 동시에 일본의 직접적 식민 지배를 받았던 일제강점기의 한국은 동아시아에서 특수한 지위를 점하고 있었기 때문에 아시아에 대한 사고가 매우 복합적이고 모순적인 양상을 보일 것이라는 연구시각으로부터, 극동올림픽과 연관된 사건들을 중심으로 극동올림픽에 대한 식민지조선 지식인들과 대중들의 인식과 반응을 살펴봄으로써, 극동올림픽에 대한 사고 속에 투영된 당대 식민지 조선인의 아시아에 대한 사고를 살펴보는 데 그 목적이 있었다. 이에 따라 본고는 대체로 세 가지의 극동올림픽 관련 이벤트를 중요한 사례로 삼아 이 이벤트에 대한 식민지 조선인의 반응과 그 반응 속에 투영된 아시아에 대한 사고를 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 일제강점기 조선인의 극동올림픽에 대한 반응과 그를 통해서 볼 수있는 아시아 연대에 대한 인식은 대부분 ‘기대감과 의구심 사이의 어느 영역에 속한 것’이거나, 혹은 1927년 극동올림픽 일본대표 와세다 대학 축구단의 식민지 순회초청경기 사례에서 볼 수 있듯이 상상적인 차원에서 극동올림픽에 아시아의 일원으로 참가하게 되었다는 ‘자기최면’에 가까운 것이었다. Also this paper tried to reveal complex aspects of colonial Korean’s contemporary thoughts about Asia. To examine colonial Korean’s contemporary thoughts about Asia, this paperselected three sports event related to the Eastern Championship Game.As a result of this examination, this paper argued that colonial Korean’scontemporary thoughts about Asia belonged to 'in-between understanding'between a feeling of expectancy and a feeling of suspicion, or to self-hypnosisof imagining taking part in the Eastern Championship Game.
