        메타버스 가상공간을 활용한 MZ세대 통일교육 활용방안

        4차 산업 혁명 시기에 COVID-19의 장기적인 팬데믹 여파는 우리 일상에 많은 변화를 가져왔으며, 디지털 환경 속에서 성장한 MZ세대는 디지털 문화를 활용한 새로운 삶의 방법을 터득하고 활용하고 있다. 이는 통일교육에 있어서 시사하는 바가 크다고 할 수 있다. 4차 산업 혁명 시기의 디지털 기술의 가속화와 COVID-19의 팬데믹 상황은 MZ세대에게 통일에 대한 새로운 접근을 필요로 한다. 그러나 통일교육은 여전히 기성세대의 통일 관념과 교육 방법으로 진행되어 왔기 때문에 MZ세대의 통일에 대한 공감을 얻기에는 다소 무리가 있다. 따라서 미래 통일의 주체 역할을 담당하게 될 MZ세대가 통일을 외면하지 않도록 그들의 눈높이에 맞는 통일교육을 적극적으로 검토할 필요가 있을 것이다. 무엇보다 통일교육은 통일에 대한 관심을 이끌어 내는 것에서부터 출발한다. 그러므로 MZ세대를 위한 통일교육은 기존의 통일교육과는 달리 통일에 대한 호기심과 필요성을 직접 체험하고, 공감할 수 있는 플랫폼이 마련되는 활용방안이 제시되어야 할 것이다. 특히 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용한 통일교육은 좋은 대안이 될 것으로 보인다. 이는 디지털 문화에 익숙한 MZ세대의 통일에 대한 관심을 이끌어내고 체험을 통한 공감의 접점을 찾아가는 새로운 활용방안이 될 것이다. 따라서 본 논문은 향후 통일의 주역이 될 MZ세대의 특징을 파악하고, 메타버스를 활용한 MZ세대의 문화에 적합한 통일교육의 대안을 제시하고자 한다. The long-term pandemic aftermath of COVID-19 during the 4th Industrial Revolution brought many changes to our daily lives, and the MZ generation, who grew up in the digital environment, is learning and utilizing new ways of life by utilizing digital culture. This can be said to have great implications for unification education. The acceleration of digital technology during the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the pandemic situation of COVID-19 require a new approach to unification for the MZ generation. However, since unification education has still been carried out through the unification concept and education method of the older generation, it is somewhat unreasonable to gain sympathy for the unification of the MZ generation. Therefore, it will be necessary to actively review unification education at their level so that the MZ generation, which will play a role in future unification, will not turn a blind eye to unification. Above all, unification education starts with drawing interest in unification. Therefore, unlike the existing unification education, unification education for the MZ generation should provide a platform to directly experience and sympathize with the curiosity and necessity of unification. In particular, unification education using the metaverse platform is expected to be a good alternative. This will be a new utilization plan to draw interest in the unification of the MZ generation, which is familiar with digital culture, and to find a point of contact with empathy through experience. Therefore, this paper aims to identify the characteristics of the MZ generation, which will be the mainstay of unification in the future, and to present an alternative to unification education suitable for the culture of the MZ generation using metaverse.

        접경지역의 문제점과 활성화 방안 연구

        This study suggests a plan to revitalize the border region, which means that it solves the problems of the current border region, and furthermore, it has meaning that the border region can play a role as an important bridgehead for a unified Korean Peninsula. The border area consists of 10 cities and counties in Incheon Metropolitan City, Gyeonggi-do, and Gangwon-do. Due to various regulations, it is difficult to use land and exercise property rights, and the transportation network and infrastructure construction are insufficient, making life inconvenient for residents. Various regulations in the border region have brought the industrial structure backward, and the population of the region is continuously decreasing due to this, and the financial independence is also very poor enough to record single digits. Although the 「Special Act on Support for Border Areas」tried to promote the development of the border area and provide compensation for damages to local residents, the government’s support was insufficient, and it was blocked by the legal proviso, which turned into a disability law that hinders the development of the border area. have. In addition, the economic crisis in the border region is also serious due to the implementation of Defense Reform 2.0. Various ways to revitalize the border area can be explored through the problems that have emerged in these border areas. A security education system should be established and the international community involved to create an international buffer zone to relieve security anxiety. Through the revision of the 「Special Act on Border Area Support」, it is necessary to secure its legal status as a higher law and to institutionalize comprehensive support measures. In addition, it is necessary to build a wide-area transportation network for border area development to increase accessibility to the metropolitan area and to transform the manufacturing-oriented industrial structure. In order to minimize the population decline and introduce a new population, it is necessary to attract military educational facilities, military colleges, and security graduate schools, and to make active efforts to construct a new city that actively utilizes unused military land.

        통일교육의 필요성 및 남남갈등 해소에 관한 방향성 제고

        최근 남북 간 자유 왕래가 가능한 두 국가의 선호 현상이 증가하면서 통일에 대한 긍정적인 인식이 약화되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 통일 교육의 필요성을 강조하고 향후 통일 교육의 방향성을 제시하데 목적을 둔다. 통일 교육은 정치 교육에 국한되지 않고, 민족주의적, 실용주의적, 평화주의적 관점을 균형 있게 수용하는 포괄적 접근이 필요하다. 독일의 통일 경험과 교훈을 바탕으로 단계적이고 체계적인 통일 접근법, 시민 참여 교육, 포용적 수용성을 한국통일 교육에 적용할 필요가 있다. 향후 통일 교육의 방안으로는 민주시민 교육의 강화, 실용적 차원에서의 통일 논의, 남남 갈등으로 인한 정서적 양극화 해소 방안 등을 제안한다. 특히 심화되고 있는 남남 갈등과 정서적 양극화를 해소 하는데 통일 교육이 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다. 다양한 시각의 존중, 세대 간 갈등 완화, 공동체 의식 및 사회적 통합 강화, 시민 참여 활성화, 정서적 치유와 갈등 해소를 포함한 균형 잡힌 통일 교육은 양극화 해소에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다. The increasing preference for two separate states with freedom of movement between North and South Korea is diminishing the positive perception of reunification. This study emphasizes the need for reunification education and aims to propose future directions for it. Reunification education requires a comprehensive approach that balances nationalist, pragmatic, and pacifist perspectives, rather than being limited to political education. Drawing on the lessons and experiences of German reunification, Korea’s reunification education could benefit from adopting a phased and systematic approach, expanding civic participation, and fostering inclusive acceptance. Proposed directions for reunification education include strengthening democratic citizenship education, engaging in pragmatic discussions on reunification, and addressing emotional polarization resulting from domestic conflicts. Reunification education can play a crucial role in alleviating deepening domestic conflicts and emotional polarization. Balanced reunification education that encompasses respect for diverse perspectives, generational conflict resolution, community awareness, social integration, active civic participation, emotional healing, and conflict resolution can positively impact efforts to reduce polarization.

        The war between Israel and Hamas that broke out in the Gaza Strip in 2023 had many implications for the Korean military and residents of the border area. Israel had successfully prepared well for enemy provocations throughout its long history of conflict, but due to the Israeli intelligence agency's intelligence failure and the Israeli military's tactical misjudgment, many civilian casualties occurred and hostages were kidnapped. Hamas has achieved unpredictable success in early combat by applying North Korea's underground drilling technology and various surprise provocation tactics. North Korea can be a type of provocation applicable. Recently, the security situation on the Korean Peninsula is increasing military tensions due to the fact that the ‘9․19 Military Agreement’ was virtually abandoned. At a time like this, we must analyze the war between Israel and Hamas and use it as a starting point to prepare for a possible North Korean military provocation in the border area. Peace and survival must be maintained by oneself.

        이스라엘 - 하마스 공격 전술과 북한의 접경지역에 대한 하이브리드전 대비 연구

        This paper examines the recent situation in which Hamas invaded about 20 villages in Israel using combined land-sea-air tactics and kidnapped 240 people, and predicts a similar invasion on the Korean Peninsula in the future. At dawn on October 7, 2023, Hamas fired over 5,000 rockets and used a variety of methods, including aerial infiltration using paragliding, rapid infiltration by destroying barbed wire and retaining walls with mechanized small units, and tunnel infiltration. In addition, Hamas attacked the Israeli command and control center and cut off communications, and Hamas 'terror continued for as little as 6 to 24 hours. Israel, which had the world's best intelligence and anti-invasion warfare system, was helpless. In the future, such complex warfare is a tactic that could appear in the early stages of an all-out war on the Korean Peninsula or as a provocation for negotiations. The main complex warfare aspect is artillery provocation, which allows North Korea's 16,000 long-range artillery pieces to attack the metropolitan area and border areas. At the same time, we will cause maximum disruption by infiltrating AN-2 aircraft, gliders, and paragliding, infiltrating company-level troops through tunnels, destroying command and control centers and communication lines along the Civilian Control Line by small special forces, and entering the metropolitan area by seizing friendly equipment. In conclusion, South Korea must prepare for North Korea's massive artillery bombardment, comprehensive measures against aerial infiltration (paragliding, unmanned aerial vehicles, A/N-2 aircraft), vigilance against tunnel infiltration, and command and control centers and communication networks in response to infiltration by small-scale special operations forces. There are significant implications for protection, the seizure of friendly troops' weapons at the echelon level, and long-distance aerial teamwork to infiltrate and disrupt the vicinity of the metropolitan area, and countermeasures are needed to prepare for this.

        북미관계와 통일환경: 바이든 정부의 대외정책 및 대북정책에 관한 분석

        In this paper, the Biden administration’s multilateral diplomatic strategy is analyzed through the characteristics of American-style multilateralism and the current status of the multilateralist solidarity diplomacy strategy. Furthermore, the Biden administration’s North Korea policy was analyzed and changes in the unification environment were anticipated in the future. In other words, this paper examines the US government’s multilateral diplomatic strategy and changes in North Korea policy, and considers changes in inter-Korean relations when the US government implements a “practical North Korea policy”. It is necessary to think about what kind of position and strategic stance South Korea should take when implementing the gradual and phased nuclear disarmament negotiations, which have not been carried out since the progress of the North Korea-US nuclear negotiations. If North Korea’s sanctions on North Korea are eased through the implementation of a “practical North Korea policy,” the partial opening of special zones in North Korea and the return to international trade will proceed in stages. In such an external environment, the prospects for whether the Biden administration will prioritize the complicated North Korean issue before proceeding with negotiations are skeptical.

        DMZ 세계평화공원 조성 방향

        The purpose of this study is to present the directions for the establishment of the DMZ World Peace Park, centering on DMZ and its surrounding Border Areas of the two Koreas in the central region of the Korean Peninsula and linking the historical and cultural resources and the excellent ecosystems in the region. The basic direction of the DMZ World Peace Park creation is based on the assumption that the entire DMZ region set up by the Armistice Agreement will be designated as the park. Therefore, we divided the region by focusing on the geographical characteristics, natural environment, and historical symbolism of DMZ which traverses the central region of the Korean peninsula. Selection of candidate sites for DMZ World Peace Park was conducted in a manner that envisions ushering in peace between the two Koreas, conserving the natural environment, and safeguarding historical and cultural resources. In particular, preferences were given to such areas endowed with excellent ecological resources and rich biodiversity, boasting historical heritage and cultural resources, having convenient access from both sides, being close to infrastructure, and/or taking on the role of local centers before the division of Korea. Strategies for creating the DMZ World Peace Park are as follows. The first sites of the Park are established in the sites where the symbolism of peace and harmony between the two Koreas are the most apparent. Then the Park is gradually expanded to adjacent areas as the peace and harmony of the two Koreas are enhanced and the exchange and cooperation between the two countries are stimulated. Accordingly, four core regions are designated as west coast region, western region, central region, and eastern region according to local characteristics. The initial Park sites in each region are expanded from east to west, from south to north, centering on the core regions, which ultimately converts the entire DMZ into the World Peace Park.

        베를린 공화국 부활 30년: 통일 독일의 국제적 위상 변화

        In 1990, Germany was transformed into a country with a population of 81 million and an area of 357,000 square kilometers. This meant a shift from Europe’s No. 1 population to Europe’s third-largest country with the largest domestic market in Europe. The unified Germany tried to express its voice in accordance with the changed international situation but it was forced to face the situation that it was regarded as the sick in Europe because of the aftermath of unification. But Germany is now hailed as Europe’s growth engine, as a situation has been created in which quality goods based on Germany’s technological prowess can be sold at cheaper prices after the Schroeder government’s reform policies and the introduction of the euro. The change has served as an opportunity for Germany to transform itself into a country with smart power in the international community. The core of Germany’s smart power exercise is its firmness in economic policy in the international community, but its restraint in military power. Germany has refused to contribute to global security, raising criticism that it is only active in exporting weapons and putting only economic benefits first.         베를린장벽 붕괴 30년, 통일 독일 사회통합의 현주소: 후발주자 분단 한반도의 선택

        The purpose of this study is to understand the current status of social integration of a United Germany after 30 years have passed since the fall of the Berlin Wall and to deduce the implications for divided Korea. The current status of social integration of a United Germany is the result of the accelerated unification method alongside the fall of the Berlin Wall and the following process of the unification of former East and West Germany. The characteristics of the unification method of Germany, which is described as absorptive unification, becomes more apparent when compared to the New Eastern Policy, which systemized the gradual unification method. Also, in contrast to former socialist states in Eastern Europe, the transformation of the political system in East Germany differed in that it ran coincided with the process of the unification of divided Germany and completely relied on ‘big brother’West Germany, which possessed economic prosperity. In addition, the level of quality and the content of the social integration after the political consolidation in October 1990 were different from those of Eastern European states since the integrationproceeded within the context of a United Germany. The political structure of a United Germany, which was constructed over three decades after the fall of the Berlin Wall, is closely related to the reality of social integration among communities in East and West Germany. This provides the need for research into the process, progress, and current status of social integration and the political implications for divided Korea. Considering the logic of the situation and profit-and-loss calculation, German experiences of absorptive unification method cannot be an ‘ultimate’standard in overcoming the situation in the Korean peninsula. Instead, it is necessary to pay attention to the growing interest in the method of European integration which adheres to gradual unification. Thus, this is the moment to look into the current status of social integration after 30 years from the fall of the Berlin Wall and bring out exuberant imagination for better unification methods.

        DMZ 관광자원 개발을 통한 지역경제 활성화 방안

        This study suggests the development of innovative tourism resources to revitalize local economy. First, it will create eco-peace and security-specific zones throughout DMZ and the border area. Second, it is a plan to create a trade and tourism city port centered on the northern limits of the west coast and the east coast. In particular, the development of ports for trade and tourism suggests the development of harbors on both the north and south sides of the west coast and the east coast, and improvement of the settlement environment of each port. To do this, laws, systems should be improved. In addition, the efficiency of land use should be promoted by eliminating overlapping regulations preventing the development of DMZ and border areas. In particular, a comprehensive tourism resource development management system should be established at the national level for the efficient management of the DMZ and bordering areas, and planned and sustained. Also, this study maximizes the ecological and environmental value of DMZ, and develops it as a tourism resource. This will contribute to long-term and systematic strategic approach as well as to develop the view that the people in the border region will return the inconvenience that they have been receiving to the economic benefit in preparation for the unification era. This includes the establishment +of a DMZ peace bridge, construction of public ecological aisles, and exploitation of the tunnels to link the ecosystem of the demilitarized zone without damaging it. It also suggested that ports near the East Coast and the West Coast border should be established as trade and tourism ports. This is not a traditional tourism development paradigm but rather an innovative and innovative paradigm, which can be a long-term sustainable tourism resource development plan for unification. The concrete contents of this plan are the creation of DMZ ecotourism special zone that emphasizes the value of ecology(Grass and Tree National Botanical Garden), peace(Eurasia road and sculpture pioneering), and security(Gagok Cultural Park).
