        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends in domestic nursing education research applying artificial intelligence (AI) in South Korea by examining recent research trends and suggesting future research directions. Method : This study conducted a literature review to analyze the trends in research on AI-applied domestic nursing education published in domestic academic journals. Results : A total of 55 keywords were identified based on the titles and major keywords from 12 literature sources, including multiple entries. The major keywords included AI (12, 21.9%), nursing students (10, 18.3%), nurses (4, 7.4%), AI remote medicine (2, 3.6%), general public (2, 3.6%), AI (2, 3.6%), nursing education (2, 3.6%), nursing process (2, 3.6%), AI application(2, 3.6%), program development (2, 3.6%), bioethics (2, 3.6%), eHealth (1, 1.8%), simulation training (1, 1.8%), AI generation (1, 1.8%), remote medicine (1, 1.8%), phenomenological study (1, 1.8%), systematic review(1, 1.8%), validation study (1, 1.8%), social network analysis (1, 1.8%), and newspaper articles (1, 1.8%). Conclusion : Through this study, it is evident that diverse research on AI-related nursing education is necessary for future nursing education research.

        Purpose : This study aims to analyze and summarize the trends of research conducted on domestic elderly nursing simulation through a thematic literature review method, in order to gain insights into the overall direction of research in this field. Method : This study conducts a thematic literature review of papers published in domestic academic journals, focusing on topics related to domestic elderly nursing simulation, to understand the research trends in this area. Results : The analysis of research topics revealed the following themes addressed in the papers related to domestic elderly nursing simulation: ‘Development and validation of a simulation-based educational program aimed at enhancing patient safety performance for caregivers in elderly care facilities’, ‘Effectiveness of simulation-based education in preventing frailty among the elderly through home nursing interventions’, ‘Impact of simulation-based practical training programs on home health management knowledge, problem- solving skills, and clinical performance’, ‘Development and effectiveness of standardized patient simulation- based professional training programs for managing home care for seniors with dementia’, ‘Nursing students’ experiences in virtual simulation and hybrid simulation-based elderly nursing practicum education: a mixed-methods research approach’, ‘Effects of simulation-based education on communication skills, academic self-efficacy, and attitudes towards the elderly among nursing students when caring for elderly individuals with cognitive impairment’, and ‘Assessment of demand for simulation-based home nursing education for frail elderly individuals’. Conclusion : These findings underscore the diverse applications and effectiveness of simulation- based education in various aspects of elderly nursing care in domestic settings.

      • 국내 요양병원 간호사의 직무 역할

        Purpose : The purpose of this qualitative study was to identify the detailed job roles of nurses working in long term care hospitals in Korea. Methods : Data were collected using individual in-depth interviews and analysed with a content analysis method. Participants were 11 nurses working more than one year in long term care hospitals. Results : A total of 4 categories, 33 subcategories, and 105 codes were generated from 465 meaningful statements (job roles). Then, 33 subcategories were classified into 4 categories (nursing roles, nursing roles/physician’s roles, physician’s roles and nursing staff roles). Among 105 of the long-term care hospital nurse job roles, thirty-eight(36.2%) was nursing role, eleven(10.5%) were nursing or physician’s roles, twenty- five(23.8%) were physician’s roles and thirty-one(29.5%) were nursing staff roles. In addition to pure nursing work, other roles also showed an high rate(63.8%). Conclusion : Guidelines for the job roles of nurses in long-term care hospitals, as well as appropriate qualifications and compensation standards, must be established.

        Purpose : This study was conducted to analyze simulation education research published in domestic academic journals after the COVID-19 era and to suggest future directions for simulation education operation. Method : This study is a descriptive survey research analyzing 53 papers related to simulation education published domestically from March 2020 to March 2024. Results : The major keywords included nursing students 28 (10.9%), simulation education 25 (9.7%), simulation 16 (6.2%), nursing 13 (5.1%), qualitative research 13 (5.1%), students 10 (3.9%), self-efficacy 8 (3.1%), clinical competence 8 (3.1%), education 6 (2.3%), nursing education 6(2.3%), virtual reality 6 (2.3%), problem-solving skills 4 (1.6%), nursing education research 4 (1.6%), COVID-19 3 (1.2%), communication 3 (1.2%), critical thinking 3 (1.2%), fidelity simulation education 3 (1.2%), problem-based learning 3 (1.2%), satisfaction 3 (1.2%), communication skills 3 (1.2%), virtual simulation 3(1.2%), and others. Conclusion : It is necessary to continuously verify the effectiveness of simulation education based on the diversity of nursing practicum education.

      • 일개 대학의 핵심간호술 18종 프로토콜 개발 연구

        Purpose : This study was conducted to establish a core nursing skills and evaluation protocols by modifying and supplementing Programme Outcome of nursing curiculum at a college. Methods : Through quantitative and qualitative surveys, expert consultation, and validity, 18 core nursing skills and evaluation protocols were finally derived. Results : The 18 core nursing skills include vital signs measurement, oral medication, intramuscular injection, subcutaneous injection, intradermal injection, intravenous fluid infusion, transfusion, intermittent gavage nutrition, simple catheterization, indwelling catheterization, enema, peripheral oxygen saturation measurement and electrocardiogram monitor, oxygen therapy using a nasal cannula, suction, basic CPR and defibrillator application, pain control, bedsore management and fall prevention nursing, and drainage management. Conclusion : It is expected that the final completed core nursing skills and evaluation protocols will contribute to improving nursing students’ core nursing skills competency and clinical adaptation ability.
