Through the numerical analysis of the effect of velocity, pressure, flow rate, loading capacity, frictional force and humidity in lubricating membrane and incompressible flow and the results of the lubricating characteristics which control the life and performance of machine, the following results can be summarized. 1. In slip flow as in continuous flow, if the height number of contact surface roughness is more than enough, secondary flow(Y₂), frictional force(τ?), loading capacity(Q₂) that are due to the Stoke's Roughness are proportional to the square of height number n. 2. Stoke's Roughness has the effect of increasing the loading capacity and the fluid flow resistance. 3. Stoke's Roughness has the effect of increasing the pressure variety corresponding to the roughness in the incompressible fluid.

Super-linear luminescences of CuⅠcrystal under high density excitation by an N₂-laser of about 10 kw power or by a pulsed electron beam from a Febetron, model 706 have been studied at 8 K. A super-linear luminescence band, which is called M and is attributed to the radiative decay of the excitonic molecule, is not found in CuⅠcrystal. Instead, Super-linear emission bands have been found which are considered to arise from the following interaction between two excitons: ?? (n = 2,3,4).

In this paper an application of the Monte Carlo method to optimum circuit design is discussed. T.Tsuda and T.Kiyono's algorithm based on the Monte Carlo method for solving multiple simultaneous nonlinear equations is generalized to apply it to finding solutions of the constrained nonlinear optimization problem. The generalized algorithm derived here is directly applied to economical circuit design. In the cirsuit design, the object function is a cost function which is related to the cost of each circuit component. The constraint is the variance of the total system expressed by the variances of each circuit component. The design is to be determined so that the circuit has specified drift reliability with minimum cost. A practical example of economical circuit design and a general nonlinear function minimization is presented with good results.

1. Studies on the manufacture of coating material vehicles with fish oils has bee made. Fish oils studied were cuttlefish oil, whale oil, shark oil and pallack oil. This study includes examinations of annual production amounts of fish oils and distribution of those along the coast of Korean peninsula. Chemical analysis of fish oils also has been made. 2. Developed new extraction method of fish oils from various fishes. Research has been made on the deordering process of fish oils by alcolate method, fulfural method and liquid propane method. 3. Researches on the method of manufacturing fish oil modified alkyd resins has been made. With this resins we manufactured various types of varnishes and its properties as coating vehicles were examines. Various long-oil type varnishes of good quality was abtained with cuttlefish oils. It has good compatability with or coating material vehicles. Cuttlefish oils has been turned cut good and plenty resources for coating materials. 4. Fish oils were isomerized with sodiumhydroxide in ethylene glycol by alkalimethod, and the isomerized fatly acids were re-esterified with glycerol. We tested the physical properties of isomerized fish oils, evaluated the conjugate unsaturation, discussed on the during of isomerized fish oil films. The isomerized cuttlefish was good quality for the coating material vehicles.

The annular space in an annular heat pipe increases the capillary sorption limit which is donimant among various limits by which the maximum heat transfer rate is determined. The equation of the capillary sorption limit for horizontal operation is derived from the Navier Stokes equation and Darcy's law by neglecting inertia terms and the gravity effect. A 120 cm-ling annular heat pipe which consists of 100 mesh stainless steel screen and copper tube with water as the working fluid is made for experiment. Comparison of the experimental data with the analytical results is in a good agreement and shows the possibility of applications of the annular heat pipe and some problems for further study.
