      • 日本中小企業의 經營體質에 관한 硏究

        The purpose of this study is to identify the constitution of management of Japanese small & medium business and provide the identified information for the improvement of management of Korean small & medium business. The study consists of six chapters : chapter I is Introduction ; Chapter Ⅱ examines the concept of small & medium busine and its economic position in terms of industry structure ; Chapter Ⅲ analyzes the growth and its trend of Japanese small & medium business as one of management characteristics, and the reality of the management. Then the chapter derives the characteristics of the constitution of management of small & medium business ; Chapter Ⅳ contains the characteristics of change in management conditions and the management constitution; Chapter Ⅴ moves into the requirement for the improvement of the management constitution ; Chapter Ⅵ concludes the study. Like Korean small & medium business, Japanese counterparts are also facing several problems, the most prominent of which is the fact that top manager's personality itself has significant influence on the whole management such a personalization of management creates many problems including various weaknesses in organization, production, sales, and financial structure. Meanwhile the following summarizes the characteristics and change of management constitution of small & medium business : ① In the businesses, management independence is greatly hindered by the personalized management by top manager. ② The management presents problems of poor financial structure and low productivirty. ③ The management has been labor-intensive, but it is now becoming more capital-and technology-intensive in accordance with the economic development of the country. ④ The management constitution reveals lower profitability than that of large business. ⑤ With the trend of internationalization, management of small & medium business also faces the problem of adjusting itself to changing management environment. Conclusively, the management constitution of Japances small & medium business is considered as neither strong nor capable of coping with environmental change. Thus, it does not appear easy to change the management constitution of small & medium business unless top manager's personalization of management is avoided.

      • 우리나라 企業經榮에의 現代經榮理念 導入,定着程度에 관한 硏究 : 釜山地域 企業經榮者를 中心으로

        It is a difficulty task to investigate into the extent of the explicit introduction and realization of management philosophy in business. This difficulty is mainly due to the fact that management philosophy cannot be easily materialized and the benchmark which measures its introduction and realization is not easy to be established. The current situation of Korean business environment no longer allows to overlook the problem of management philosophy. It is necessary to find the most appropriate management philosophy in order to solve various management problems. The general objective of this study is to provide impetus to the research in management philosophy. In particular, this study attempts to deduct the degree of the introduction and realization of modern management philosophy in Korean management by examining the Korean executives' knowledge and understanding of the management philosophy and scrutinizing the real examples of management philosophy suggested by them. The analysis contained in this study includes the concept and characteristics of management philosophy, its internal and external aspects, executives' attitude toward the elements of modern management philosophy with respect to the enhancement of social welfare and the level of cultural life, the perceived need of management philosophy, its explicit introduction, and the various details of suggested management philosophy. The result shows that the Korean executives' understanding of the concept and elements of management philosophy is considerably modernized. However, their understanding are not reflected to management in a manner what they understood. Especially, the real examples of management philosophy suggested by them are not suitably to management. Overall, the introduction and realization of modern management philosophy in Korean management are at an early development stage. The above result can be attributable to various aspects. This study, however, shows that the Korean historical and cultural background has been a major factor to restrict the introduction and realization of modern management philosophy. It is also revealed that the economic development plans driven by government leadership and the executives reliance on them has been another factor detering the development of modern management philosophy. Given the results of this study, executives, policy makers, professors, and whole society are required to give their best effort for the purpose of modernizing the Korean management and solidifying the management atmosphere based on modern management philosophy.

      • 企業의 成長要因에 관한 硏究 : 특히 經營者要因을 중심으로

        This thesis studied about growth factor of enterparise. This study consist of 5 chapters. Chapter I is introduction, chapter Ⅱ is theory about growth factor of enterprise. Chapter Ⅲ, ability of manager and disposition factor, chapter Ⅳ, relationship in between the growth of enterprise and manager factor, and the last 5th chapter concludes this. study. Content of this study is as follows. 1. Manager factor, a strategic decision making headed by attribute of manager and future conception strength is related to growth of enterprise. 2. Factor connected with a strategic decision making of manager are faith, decision, capacity, systematic thought and etc., and factor connected with future conception are ambition, a sense of duty, intuition, insight and etc. Needed factor by execution control of manager are sense of ethics, sense of coefficient, leadership and a sense of responsibility. 3. Factor connected with disposition of manager are various, but factor of Judgment, control Knowledge, courage, energy, brain and etc. are recognized as important factor. In conclusion, it can point out that factor of manager is great conducive to growth of enterprise, but can become requirements one way or another according to any condition by any factor of manager? This problem is an important problem, but the explanation is not easy. As the above, growth of enterprise is related with manager factor. Strengthening of manager factor must precede for continuous growth and development of enterprise.

      • The Changing Pattern of Protectionism

        본 논문은 2차 대전 이후로 미국과 선진산업국가들에서 서서히 대두되고 있는 보호무역주의 패턴과 미국을 포함한 세계각국의 현재와 미래의 무역정책에 어떻게 영향을 미칠것인가를 설명하고자 한다. 일반적으로 각국에서 특히, 미국의 경우도 마찬가지로 자국 경제의 생산 부분의 산업화 기간중에는 크게 보호무역주의가 대두된다. 이는 많은 개발도상국에서 자국의 수입대체산업을 육성하고자 하는 의도뿐만 아니라 국가재정을 위해 높은 관세장벽을 펼치기 때문이다. 그러나 이미 선진산업화된 미국이나 서유럽 국가들간에 서서히 관세에 의하지 않는 NTBs(nontariff barriers) (비관세장벽)이 더욱 크게 이용되고 있다. 이는 서서히 각국의 보호무역정책이 국가난 사회의 경제적 이익보다 어떤 특수한 산업이나 단체의 이익에 더욱 크게 관련되어지고 있는 것을 나타낸다. 이러한 비관세 장벽의 대두뿐만 아니라 선직국들의 경제상태도 앞으로 각국의 무역정책에 영향을 끼칠것임에 틀림없다. 보호무역주의가 패턴의 변화를 통해 지속, 확대되고 있지만 또한 무역자유화를 위한 노력도 Kennedy Round와 Tokyo Round 이후에도 계속되고 있다. 개발도상국들로서는 앞으로의 무역자유화 협상에서 관세뿐만 아니라 특히, 선진국들의 비관세장벽의 사용을 얼마나 억제할 수 있느냐에 하는 것이 하나의 주요한 문제로 대두되고 있다.

      • 신발 제조업에의 린 생산방식 도입

        This paper is concerned with a lean production system to improve the productivity of shoes manufacturing industries. For this purpose, this research first reviews the environmental characteristics of shoes manufacturing industries and invetigates the current problems of shoes production systems. Shoes manufacturing process roughly consists of three process lines shoes uppers line, shoes soles line, and assembling line of shoes uppers and soles. Two major problems in shoes production system are a large amount of work-in-process(WIP) inventories, and the low rate of matching shoes uppers and soles in an assemblying line. Most of shoes manufacturing companies have more than a 3-days WIP inventories in every process line to avoid the blocking the production. Particularly the assemblying line has 5-7days buffers of shoes uppers and soles to maximize the productivity of manufacturing final shoes, however, the matching rate of shoes uppers and soles in the assemblying line is about 50%. These problems are from a low efficiency in inventory control mainly due to (1) too many order specification of sizes, colours, types and different due dates, and (2) a large amount of WIP inventories. To reslove above mentioned problems, we sugggest a lean production system of pull-method for reduction of WIP inventories and improvement of matching rate of shoes uppers and soles in assemblying line. Compared to a push production system(current production system), a pull production system may have a number of adventages in controlling inventories and balanced match of the sole parts and uppers parts when it applied to shoes manufacturing process. As an alternative to control the pull production method, we design a Kaban for production and inventory control. Also we design the Kaban circulations model for the production lines and inventory stores, and a shoes manufacturing information system to incorporate the Kaban system. We expect that the effective adoption of the pull production system to shoes manufacturing system will show better results in improving the matching rate, and reducing the WIP inventories and production lead time. These effects may also give more flexible production planning and raw matiarial procurement planning. We finally consider this research would be helpful in designing the lean shoes production system
