Objective: The aim of this research is to determine the effects on muscle activity as incurred by patient transfer height, lumbar pressure, and lower extremities. Method: 40 physical therapists working in hospital rehabilitation units were selected as the sample target. The experiment was conducted under 2 conditions - when the wheelchair and treatment mat were of equal height, and when the treatment mat was 10cm higher than the wheelchair. EMG and 3DSSPP were used to measure the muscle activity and lumbar pressure of the back and lower extremity. Results: Back muscle activity showed a significant difference according to height(p<.05). Conclusion: Patient transfer can result in lower back musculoskeletal disorders. Hence it is recommended that the patient be transferred at equal height to prevent lower back musculoskeletal disorders.

The studys purpose were the effects of work posture, treatment method and prevention for Video Display Terminal(VDT) workers in Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders(WMSD) The results were as follows: 1. The prevalence rate of VDT workers in WMSD was $20{\sim}40%$. The complaint was mostly shoulder, neck, and hack area pain 2. VDT worker used to forward flexed posture and then affect of increase of muscle fatigue and pain 3. When exercise therapy PT and ADL training, were used workers decrease in pain, muscle strength, balance training, endurance strength and relief of psychiatricIn conclusion, VDT worker need good health and posture to rest and exercise with time space and treatment. It is best to prevent WMSD. VDT workers need health management by itself and systemic rehabilitation program by speciality therapist.

Pelvic floor muscles positively affect not only urinary incontinence but also lumbar stabilization by generating intra-abdominal pressure through interaction with muscles around the trunk. Especially, contracting pelvic floor muscles consistently and gently at low intensity is one of the most effective methods to separate and contract transverse abdominis which plays an important role in lumbar stabilization. The purpose of this study was to reexamine the importance of pelvic floor muscles which had not been used much in the treatment of lumbago and to introduce pelvic floor muscle exercises that can be utilized in the treatment of lumbago by examining literature on the relationship between pelvic floor muscles and lumbar stabilization. It is expected that this study will help apply lumbar stabilization exercise to patients with lumbago more variously and effectively.

Background : This study is for respiratory muscle activity and chest expansion through practice abdominal breathing exercises. Methods : The subjects were consisted normal 30 persons(15 males and 15 females). The control group to 15 people to compare group and 15 people for the abdominal breathing exercise group through lip retraction movement of the therapist with the resistance of mediated abdominal breathing exercises. For 8 weeks EMG was used to know the changes in respiratory muscle. We also found out the changes in chest expansion. And the t-test was conducted to analyze among the compared group, the abdominal breathing group the differences between before and after the experiment. Results : On the changes in respiratory muscle muscular activity in the transverse abdominis have shown significant results(p<.05), and the change in chest expansion was no significant(p>.05). Conclusion : Various breathing exercises in future research on intervention programs can be studied to promote the public if the functional status is considered to be of much help.
편마비 환자의 체중지지 훈련 시 발목에 적용한 능동운동을 동반한 관절가동술이 관절가동범위, 균형능력, 보행속도에 미치는 영향

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of ankle range of motion(ROM), balance ability, and gait velocity of the ankle flexion when the joint Mobilization with Movement was applied. Method: Ankle joint ROM, balance ability(BBS), and gait velocity were examined before and after application. Result: In the experimental group, ROM of dorsiflexion and eversion increased significantly, the balance ability improved, and the gait velocity increased more than the control group(p<.05). Conclusion: Through this study, In addition to the symptoms of central nervous system damage in hemiplegic patients, it can be used as an effective treatment for reducing the limit of motion of the ankle due to secondary musculoskeletal problems and improving balance ability and gait velocity.
TheraBand를 이용한 견관절 외전시 삼각근과 극상근의 근전도 변화

The purpose of this study was to compare the changes of muscle activities in deltoid with those in supraspinatus using electromyography(EMG) while subjects abducted their shoulder to different angles with different resistance. Methods : 20 volunteers who were comprised of 10 males(mean age: $21.2{\pm}2.0$) and 10 females(mean age: $20.2{\pm}1.6$) were collected. Surface electrodes were attached on deltoid and supraspinatus muscle for recording. Each reference electrode was located 3 cm to the each recording electrode. Muscle action potentials were recorded with changing the angle of shoulder abduction, $30^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$. This procedure was repeated with different resistance 0 pound, 2 pounds, 4.5pounds. The angle of shoulder abduction was determined by clinical goniometer. SPSS(Statistical Program for Social Science)/WIN 10.0 was used for statistics. Analysis included ANOVA, T-test. Results : The following results were obtained in this study. 1. There was significant differences during isometric shoulder abduction $30^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$ comparing muscle activity in deltoid and supraspinatus muscles at 0 pound, 2pound, 4.5pound resistance(p<0.05). 2. There was no useful significant in the deltoid and supraspinatus muscles activity EMG compared by physical condition. 3. Their was significant in the deltoid EMG compared by gender t=-5.41, P<0.01, but no difference in the supraspinatus EMG(P=0.333 >a=0.05). Conclusions: There are many previous studies on influence of shoulder angles and speeds of muscle activity. However most of them placed the focus on isotonic or isokinetic exercise, or shoulder function. But this study was done during isometric exercise, which is better for early assessment and treatment for injured patients. There is strong relationship between the shoulder angle with resistance in deltoid supraspinatus muscle activity. We conclude that it is important to apply isometric shoulder abduction exercise with correct angle and resistance especially in early stage.
뇌졸중 환자의 임상적 검사NIHSS(National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)와 기능적 예후와의 상관관계

The purpose of this study was NIHSS(National Institutes of Health stroke scale) to activities of Daily Living stroke patient. We designed a 17 item neurogic Examination NIHSS use in acute stroke therapy trials. In a study of stroke patient. Assessment were measured by the NIHSS and by the MBI (Modified Barthel Index) to evaluate activities of daily living(ADL). Fifty patients were subject in this study. Collected data analysis were completed by using t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis and Multiple regression analysis. The following were as follow; Among the test of NIHSS(National Institutes of Health stroke scale) was significantly correlated with changes in MBI(Modified Barthel Index) score in 50 stroke patients. Among the subitems of NIHSS, Pupillary Response, a level of consciousness, best motor arm, best motor leg were the best predictors of functional improvement.
동작관찰훈련이 양하지마비 뇌성마비 아동의 뇌활성에 미치는 영향

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the improve on brain activity during action observation training for cerebral palsy of diplegia. Design: Randomized controlled trial. Methods: 18 subjects were divide into two groups: action observation training group and a control group. Action observation group practiced repeatedly the action with their motor skill and control group practiced conventional physical therapy. The subjects participated in eighteen 30-min sessions, 3 day a week, for 6week. To confirm the effects on brain activity were evaluated. Results: The results show that the Mu-rhythm was statistically significant increase on the C3 of the action observation training group (p<0.05). Conclusion: The action observation training improves brain activity of a cerebral palsy with diplegia. These results suggest that the action observation training is feasible and beneficial for improving brain activation for the cerebral palsy with diplegia. In the future, I think we need to be actively utilized to the action observation training program in the clinical with the neuromuscular development treatment. And the study on the various the action observation training program that can improve the function of the children with cerebral palsy is thought necessary.
