        We are able to see the specific artistic order in Korea traditional arts which was built through long period. That is not only stands for the beauty closed up in the Korean society but also systematical orders in the creative conceptions. This kind of order has a thread of connection with the arts of western styles which are based on systematical approaches and functional designs and the constructural modernism. These Korea traditional arts especially shapes of lattics, patterns of small wrapping clothes, etc. have been used from very moment of their creations up to now to the our real life so we could regard them that these are attracitive to human mind and have some general values in terms of formal art. So, we might be reach to the analysis of the artistic theory which supporting the universities. In this research, I would like to have a formal analyse with a systematical approach method. The subject of this study might be Korean traditional arts which are in existence up to now and the final goal of this might be to draw out s general asthetic view. I set up the subject of this study on the Korean traditional plastic art so as that I could have more understanding on the specific personality of Koreans, especially perceptions on the forms, including myself. Also, I realise that I should sort out the order and perception of the Korean original beauty which can be seen on the Korean art not through the usual methods of approach ideologically or subjectively toward Korean styles of asthetic view but systematically with the objectivity and the structural fomula. Because we have betteridea of living standards, experiences and the sence of value, so, we are able to for see the traditional art in a new view point, therefore, we have to consider what we could abtain from its result and how we could reflect it to today`s art. In this study, I have a definition of the background and specific points of Korean traditional art, its diversity afterwards. And with this definition I would like to make it clear the boundary of the art and methods of the sampling, in addition, I am going to classify and arrange the art which was give from photographs. On account of limited space, I would rather stretch my study to the classification of art and I will leave more analysis on the specific characteristics which is shown in the formal art next time.

      • 1980년대 패션에 나타난 복고풍 모드와 포스트 모더니즘

        The purpose of this study was to find the interrelations between the Post-Modernism in arts and the 1980s fashion. Relevant literature were reviewed to examine the characteristics of Post-Modernism in the arts. The high fashion megazines such as "Collezioni" and "Vogue" were used to collect 1980s fashion styles. In the 1980s fashion as well as in art, there was a common structure of feeling which can be termed as "Post-Modernism". Historicism and eclecticism are the important descriptions of Post-Modernism. The impulse to be of the past but in the present-to be in "the historical mode"-also became clearly discernible in 1980s fashion. Possible sources of 1980s fashion have been suggested through an array of images, ranging from an Egyption mumm of a priestess to 1960s tie-dyed shirts. In 1980s fashion he garment was not replicated in the manner of copying but in assimilation. Elements were borrowed from the past, but differentiation was supreme.

      • 中國 龍紋樣에 관한 小考

        The dragon is a spiritual being representing a symbol of supra-ability and authority. Though not an actural being in the nature, it is a complex including only the beautiful parts of every beast. The notion of dragon was formed in China, beginning at Okyong. Hong San-culture period, 5000 years ago, and the orthodox image of dragon was established in the late period of the fedual system. The dragon was regarded as a precious design, since it represents the image of respecting valuables, celebrating fortune, and concerning about one's native land, and harvest, etc. Thus, the concept and design of dragon has the same meaing in Korea and Japan, and give the influence on the Eastern world. So, the purpose of this thesis is to investigate the change of shapes, kinds modes, symbols of king's authority, and design in the same period, represented in the design of dragon, thus to give help to the further research in this field.

        Hyundai Industrial Development Co. has recently obtained best performance records of achievement in housing construction among unitary enterprises and as a result, it has maintained its reputation for a distinguished apartment complex construction company. However, it has intergrated and conservative corporate identity due to a lack of marketing activity to meet client`s susceptibility. As a part of new corporate identity program, susceptive marketing activity is necessary to meet rapidly change in client's need. Creative strategy is unique idea. This includes a distinction among other corporate's advertisement, high-end advertising presentation and impressive advertising image. Creative concept is a "naturalism" to design and appeal to client's susceptibility and describes as understanding nature, adapted housing-build to nature. The final visualization is an expression of a bird-nest is protected from the wind by branch nodding on the tree. Hyundai Industrial Development will be a company of respected spirit of naturalism, adapted housing-build to nature and earned wisdom from principles of nature to build the best solid and safe housing. Since the foundation, Hyundai Industrial Development Co. has contributed national standards of housing life and this new corporate identity program will perform friendly image to everyone and will provide closer relationship with clients.

      • 明朝의 下衣類 制度에 關한 硏究 : 蔽膝·裳·裙·綬 等을 中心으로

        Taking it as the main point that the institution of wearing originated from the later han dynasty in China can be considered to be characteristic of southern areas, this study presents materials based on evidencing records which are ensuring that the southern-characteristic costume mode of the Cho, one of aliens before the Han dynasty around the jang River -especially, in the mid-central area, was introduced to the costume mode of the Han Dynasty. One of the evidences is that the culture of lower garments such as Pasul, Sang, Kun, Su, etc. was accepted to Korea, one of the eastern countries. Thus, we endeavor to investigate and understand all the developing processes of Korean lower garment modes appearing in Korean folks and folk clothes, finding out the influences of each Chinese dynasty that had exercised on them from the old age to the modern one. The special purpose is to look into the lower garment mode of the Ming, one of the ancient dynasties, and then to shed light to the study of that of Korea in the Lee dynasty. Conclusion and summary are as follows: 1) Pasul It was changed from the mode of the Bool and was institutionalized in the Han dynasty, and in the Ming period was put on over Sang, the lower garment of Myun, Chobock(an official dress), and Chebock(a ritual dress). 2) Sang The ritual dress mode of the Ming was that they put on a coat as an upper garment and a skirt as the lower one and that they put on a coat connected with a skirt as an undergarment and Sang over it. 3) Kun Men put on Kun chiefly as an undergarment of outer dresses. Women put it on as a lower garment of outer dresses. 4) Su Su began to be institutionalized in the Han dynasty, and its color represented one`s social position.

        Success or failure in design will be swayed by the compact and elaborate process. This is because that the problem should be resolved by the reasonable and logical speculation. In this process, presentation will be decided at the important time finishing. A method to solve it effectively is the technique of presentation. Presentation is an action of the subject concerned to express the intention of himself against the object concerned through the conveying ways such as papers, slides, boards, etc. on by the necessity in business, it is a conception for accurate and effective conveying or a technique of composition in order to realize, at limited time and in a certain place, a certain expected effect regarding the contents of planning, products and technology. Those are conveying means to request the others' understanding and cooperation and to realize a desire of himself.

      • 찰스 레니 매킨토시의 建築과 室內디자인에서의 成果와 影響에 關한 硏究

        Charles Rennie Mackintosh was an architect of Art Nouveau in early days of the modern times as well as pioneer of the Art Deco. The series of chain store of tea rooms and dwelling houses and the Glasgow School of Art which he had completed have greatly influenced upon interior design field. This study stressed on the analysis of the influence upon the works and the characters of the architectural works through the architectural works and the career of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and also, the analysis according to times on the interior designs and furnitures which he concentrated on in a same extend. And this study considered and analyzed along with the background of the time when Machintosh`s architecture was effected by the architecture and art of Japan. I have analyzed and studied impacts affected to Vienne Secession and Art Deco by his works and to the modern Architecture and especially to the interior design and furniture design as well.

        It is considered that RESIDENCE and lighting had begun with human history. Light gives eyesight, therefore the visual nerve's response to light is a very important factor and resource in judging a certain object. Also, the sense of sight gets the picture of surrounding space and let people have a spiritual reflection, impression and feeling. In dwelling places, lighting is felt in various kinds of light according to living environment, and this lighting can be majorly divided into two kinds-Natural Lighting and Artificial Lighting. The contents subjected to discussion herein is mainly about artificial lighting, and the present study intends to clarify the impact of light on human brain and eyes, the part that we are apt to neglect or one that we are apt to ignore in the lighting of interior design, and finally find out some points for improvement. In the present study, subjecting the porth at a gateway, a living room, bedroom, rest room, storeroom, extra convenient room, terrace, etc., lighting instruments, its methods and systems have been studied on so that the study can be somehow helpful to the interior designers who pursue better function and beauty, from a point of view that in interior design, design having a more originate concept should be created. The basic direction of the present study is to describe about the necessity, usage and functions of lighting design.

      • 도시보행자 안내체계 연구 : 충주시 SIGN을 중심으로

        Though human beings are highly able to adapt themselves to the environments, on the contrary, since environments also greatly influence to the construction of consciousness directly or indirectly, we have to realize how to effectively utilize it. In order to produce the beautiful scenery of the city and stabilized surroundings of walking spaces, it should be preferentially managed how to decide the necessity of transmitting the information and the proper way of expression to the appropriateness that was required by the present age. Due to the vicissitate of the age, the city is ceaselessly being changed, and at the same time, since the contents and characters of information which are necessitated to us are also being changed, it is very serious to renovate the accumulatively formed environments, and to make an attempt of ultra-aged new design. Accordingly, in the process of over all study, we have realized the following descriptions as a conclusion. 1. Even the street furnature and sign boards in the walking spaces which absolutely influence to the life of us aim to convey any contents, we have realized that if it is not initially helpable for building up the environments, they could not perform the original objects of establishment. 2. At the of projecting a new city, the constant policy for the effective build-up of the environment, in a rapidily changing era, must be a along with the betterment of system which could meet the variable circumstances, and have to reasonably satisfy the conditions in anticipated future. 3. Therefore, additional facilities in the walking spaces should be considered with a preferential principle not to bring the corelative narrowness and an increase of obstacles. 4. In accordance with the functional variety of the future-city, a management for the centralization of the administratives concerned, new organic post relating to the design, and the renovation of administation system should be followed. 5. In comparation of materizing the independent identy of Chungju-city, this study and research would merely be a basic step of working, and finally by the completion of "City Identity Manual", mind renovation of citizens and desirable "city image would be materized. CONCLUSIVE KEYNOTE OF DESIGN (1) "Promotion Symbol" Accompanied by the "Visual Symbol" are developed as a Symbolic device for the use of athletic meeting of citizen, citizen`s campaign and specific joint event with the city and citizens. (2) 3 kinds of system, A, B, C, are offered as a guidance system for the pedestrians in the town. A-system as a criterion is preferably recommended for operation, however B-system and C-system are also designed to be et up, by the selection of them, at the specific area such as adjacent places of various event as necessary. (3) Total guidance sign board which helps to functionally catch the entire city, sectional rough sketch for the convenience of pedestrians to keep the sense of direction at the actual spot, sign board for inducting the direction at the adjacent place of complicated cross section or at the branch road where the direction to be decided were respectively and systematically set up. (4) Gate typed structure of big scale which would serve to put up message of "welcome and farewell", to show the name of the city, to guide the symbolic moulds, and to hang the large-sized pictures, graphic materials for the public information of main events etc. are dedeveloped to be set up at the main street and approaching road.

      • 사례연구를 통한 쇼핑센터 내의 문화공간 디자인에 관한 연구

        The individual view of values and consumer behavior, coupled with changes in life style and economic development, has been changed. The comfortable living and the pursuit of convenience has led mankind to perceive diverse needs of the cultural facility. Nowdays, the commercial space become to be increasingly included to specialization and multiplicity. For example, the function of the shopping complex or department stores is not only sales tactics but diverse entertainments. Such a diversity of the shopping complex is due to satisfy the needs or desire of consumers and to announce public relations of the shopping complex. Due to such a reason, the interior designers or architects have to redefine the concept of commercial spaces and methodology of design processes. In designing the cultural space in commercial spaces, it is essential to have a proper understanding of the social, economic and cultural context indegenous to that region, as well as the concept of design processes and marketing strategies. In this study, the methodology and design concepts of the multi-purposed shopping complex is discussed and new model on the basis of the space concept and client's requirements is suggested.
