        Local private university is affected by making the economy more vulnerable to the external management environment, recently. This study to find the solution how to optimize using the university sports facility to develop the university management. From this, following 4 conclusions are founded. First, new-investment or re-investment to the sports facility of university have to make plan with consider local urban develop planning and find way how to prosper alongside conglomerate. Second, the marketing need to focus on for welfare and semi-medical service consider increasing market of aging and health care as sports trend is make deployable connection with region community. Third, the high quality of sports program service is possible using university knowhow and the human resource, especially sports and other sectors it can be emerging with sports. Forth, related by global economic trend ‘Creativity’, the sports facility is economize business resource to make high value-added when it convergence with IT, health, medical, entertainment, and etc.

      • 淸州 牛岩山의 風水地理的 考察

        This paper is to consider the Pungsu Chiri(풍수지리) as a traditional geographic thought in Korea and to study the change of environmental perception about Woo-Am Mountain of Chongju City. In order to this purpose the author study the general Pungsu Chiri theory and analyse tales, myths, yearly customs of Pungsu Chiri in Woo-Am Mountain of Chongju City. The study results of the general Pungsu Chiri theory are as below: Pungsu Chiri is the principle of adapting the residences of the living and the dead to nature. It is underpinned by the metaphysical meaning of special topographical features with embodied the occult power. The theoretical and spatial characteristics of the Korean Punsu Chiri thought are as below. (1) The Korean Pungsu Chiri thought has been intermingled with various oriental thoughts thought history such as mountain worship, Tocham(도참), Buddhism and confucianism. (2) Korean Pungsu Chiri specialists have created their own unique a new Pungsu Chiri theory such as Beasanyimsu(배산임수: the back is mountain and the front is stream or river), Jinsan(진산: a guardian mountain). (3) The Pungsu Chiri concepts such as Myungdang(명당), Hyul(혈) and Koog(국) appear to be overlapped spatially. In other word, there are the micro-scale Myungdang within the meso-scale Myungdang. And there are the meso-scale Myungdang. within the macro-scale Myungdang. (4) A Mountain have various appearances according to direction, Therefore, residents in village or town around that mountain have different view and behavior of Pungsu Chin. (5) Territoriality have relation with Pungsu Chiri Koog. The Pungsu Chiri space composed of Sasinsa(사신사) such as the green dragon(east), the white tiger(west), the crimson bird(south), and the black tortoise-snake(north) make residents feel attachment and placeness distinct from outside world. (6) The Myundang concept implies time-spaceness. Peoples believed that a place will be lost the vital power after a certain period of time by the Pungsu Chin theory. The study results of Pungsu Chiri of Woo-Am Mountain in Chongju City are as below: (1) As the Pungsu Chin Koog of Chongju is boat-shaped topography, Iron pole(철당간), Town forests(읍숲) such as Bibo(비보) are established in order to complement the shortage of Pungsu Chiri Koog. (2) Chongju peoples perceived that Dang-Ree Mountain is Jinsan of Chongju and Hyul of Myungdang is located the front of Dang-Ree Mountain from the beginning period of Choson dynasty. (3) There are intermingled Confucian landscapes such as Munmo(문묘), Hangkyo(향교), Samchungsa(삼충사) Hyuleargak(열녀각), Jungchundang(장충단) and shamanic landscapes such as Samsindang(삼신당), Japanese Sinsa(일본신사) in Dang-Ree Mountain. As Dang-Ree Mountain is developed, the author think that Dang-Ree Mountain is replaced Woo-Am Mountain as Jinsan of Chongju in Pungsu Chiri. (4) As the Pungsu Chiri Koog of Woo-Am Mountain is ox-shaped topography, Peoples perceived that there are Hyul of ox abdomen and Myungdang of ox's milk part in Pungsu Chiri. of Woo-Am Mountain. But they perceived that the vital power of Woo-Am Mountain disappeared by the Danmek Pungsu Chiri(단맥풍수지리), (5) As the Pungsu Chiri tales of Bamse village(밤새), Hewull(해월) of Sunghwangdang Hill(성황당 고개), Son Rock아들 바위) and yearly customs in Woo-Am Mountain are related filial piety and traditional shamanism, the author think that they are changed egoistic gods.

      • 남북한 환경협력의 방향 모색

        First of all, it is important to assess the actual realities of environmental problem,even though it is not easy, to expand exchanges and strengthen the cooperation for North Korea in the field of environmental issues. According to the report on North Korean environmental condition prepared by UNEP and UNDP in 2003, many environmental problems such as soil erosion, severe air and water pollution have been confirmed. People convert the steep slope surface into the cultivation field and end up with soil erosion in the summer. In urban industrial zone, old facilities can not filter the polluted smoke and water and led to severe air and water pollution. Especially, extreme famine led to forest disturbance for fuel wood and field expansion for cultivation. Over dependence of coal, which is only available energy source, aggravate the air pollution which can not be improved easily in several industrial cities. Anywhere people exposed to air pollution can be somewhat related to spatial industry allocation policy. It is little possibilities to improve their environmental problems by themselves as North Korea's planning economy and totalitarianism. Economic condition prohibit to enforce the environmental law system in North Korea. North Korea only pay attention to economic cooperation in North South Dialogue without paying their interest on cooperation in environmental issues. North Korea prefer indirect aids through UN organizations. North Koreans believe that direct cooperation can get less help. North Koreans prefer indirect cooperation. With the report on North Korea environmental condition in 2003 South and North Korea can lead to the turning point to improve the realities of North Korea's environment, but governmental transfer in South Korea led policy shift and South- North stopped the dialogue. The two parties could not start any progress in terms of environmental project. Anytime, if two Koreas open the dialogue, I think, it is important to bring up the environmental improvement plan. Tips from unified German experience, can be useful. Before unification, different political system prohibit the environmental cooperation. But it is necessary to open the possibilities of environmental cooperation for solving the economic difficulties. It is very crucial to estimate the amount of fund, and to train the professional staffs for programs of future environmental recovery in North Korea.

      • 草衣禪師의 禽魚之交 詩世界

        This paper is a study on Zen Priest Ch'oŭi-Ŭisun's poems. Ch'oŭi was one of the representative zen poets in the history of Buddhism literature in late Chosŏn(朝鮮) and was the famous zen priest and artist for Poem(詩), Calligraphy(書), Painting(畵), Zen(禪) and Tea(茶). The arguments for him have mainly been discussed in three parts of his literary world, thoughts of zen(禪) and tea(茶) until now. But his aspects are both a different thing and simultaneously a one and each one is a complex as a indivisible relation which connot be separated one by one. Accordingly, this paper attempted to be faithful to the basic direction of the whole groping for Ch'oŭi's poetry literature. Also, with Ch'oŭi's literary works, this paper will try to analyze the subsidiary sciences for the main discourse such as his lifetime, period, biography, teacher, the relationship of associates, trends of learning, sense of literature, and so on. We will try to combine the historical methodology with the formalistic methodology for the correct understanding and analysis of his works. So, we aim to make the outcome of research through a deep insight about the whole creative background of works. Chapter One is a introduction to deal with the direction of this paper, necessity of this study, examination of research history of preceding researchers. Chapter Two is the formational background of the zen priest Ch'oŭi's poetry literature. We will consider and analyze the overall background on the basis of the times, his teachers, his associate relationship, his scholarly world and poetry consciousness. Chapter Three is the world of works for the zen and Ch'oŭi's poems. Before the analysis of Ch'oŭi's overall works, I prepared a stepping-stone for the main discourse by introducing the concept and developmental history of zen poem. In terms of analysis of works, we will contrast a transcription Il Zhi-am Si-go 一枝庵詩藁 (Il Zhi-am's Poetry Book) with a wood-block printing Ch'oŭi Si-go 艸衣詩藁 (Ch'oŭi's Poetry Book). We will closely consider three type of works in terms of subject: "Jayŏn ŭi Sŏnmi 自然의 禪味 (tastes of zen in nature)", which is divided with Hanmi 閑味 (tastes of leisure moments), Jayŏn 自然 (Nature), Yŏngmul 詠物 (song of things), Dachan 茶贊 (praise of Tea), As a conclusion, although Buddhism had weakened in Chosŏn Period, Buddhist Literature has continuously been developed little by little. Therefore, we will make clear that Ch'oŭi in many zen priests had the literary beauty deepen.

      • 한국적 사회언어학의 모색 : 학제적 접근 a bold interdisiplinary suggestion

        This study is intended to bring up th somewhat overdue issue of what "Korean" soclinguistics is or how it should be, Sociolinguistics, focusing on how language and society are related, was born as an interdisciplinary study between linguistics and social science. Therefore, it is presumed to be able to make clear what linguistics and social sciences cannot explain well respectively. We see that since its introduction, many Korean sociolinguists have amassed numerous brilliant findings. However, as the understanding and application of the general methodology of sociolinguistics is deepening, they are finding it challenged more. This limitation appears to stem from that sociolinguistics was intrinsically developed in the English-speaking environment and that it is skewed to dealing with social factors independent. We argue that "Korean" sociolinguistics must be an interdisciplinary study between sociolinguistics and Korean study and that it can be established by applying the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis to the Korean society. It is based on the belief that if Korea is different from the English-speaking society, linguistic factors should work more significantly as independent variables that before in explaining the relationship between language and society in Korea. Through this, we could achieve a more balanced view towards language and society and contribute to the development of sociolinguistics in general.

      • Three Steps of the Postcolonial Resistance in Seamus Heaney's Poetry

        세계화는 문화의 다양성을 수용하기보다는 파괴할 가능성이 있어 과거 식민의 경험이 있는 나라들은 세계화의 확산을 자기 정체성 상실로 여길 수 있다. 심지어 세계화는 지배국에게도 그것에 대한 저항의 한 양상으로 테러리즘같은 또 다른 도전을 경험하게 했다. 세계화 이후의 현상에 대한 사무엘 헌팅턴의 '문명 충돌' 이론이 새롭게 조명됨도 위와 같은 맥락에서 이해될 수 있다. 우리 한반도역시 미국과 중국의 힘이 충돌할 수 있는 기축으로의 가능성이 고조되고 있으며 미국주도의 세계화에 대한 도전의 장으로 점차 그 윤곽을 나타내고 있다. 이 논문은 아일랜드와 우리 대한민국은 과거 식민 역사와 그로인한 분단국으로서 여러가지 유사한 경험과 통일에 대한 소망을 공유하고 있어서 아일랜드를 비교 연구함은 우리의 문제 해결에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이라는 가정 하에 쓰여 졌다. 그리고 이 논문의 목적은 셰무스 히니의 시를 읽어 탈 식민 저항의 가장 이상적인 모델을 찾으려는데 있다. 그 하나의 근거로서 셰무스 히니 시는 지역 작가의 저항에서 시작해 자유를 억압하는 큰 힘에 도전하면서 시적 자유를 추구하고 있기 때문이다. 한편 셰무스 히니 시를 다시 읽은 결과 그의 초기시 에서는 지역적 정체성을 추구하고 정의 내리려는 강한 의지를 통한 지역작가로의 저항정신을 찾아낼 수 있었다. 그러나 다음 단계에 이르면 그의 시들은 지배문화 확산의 결과인 혼종화를 수용하려는 태도를 보임으로써 전유의 단계를 거쳐 간다 그리고 1987년 이후의 작품세계에서는 실용성과는 다른 시적 자유의 추구를 통한 새로운 휴머니즘 및 지역문화의 창조라는 단계로 변해갔음을 확인하게 되었다. 한편 그의 저항은 프란츠파농식의 과격성과 정치성을 배제하고 보다 온건하고 문화적 저항의 특색을 지니고 있음도 알 수 있었다.

      • 사회유형에 따른 형태와 기능에 관한 고찰*

        There is nothing more important than the form and function in design, because every design can't be existed without them. Viewpoint of this, the form and function in different types of society are studied. The paper is composed of five parts. Introduction, Pre-industrial society, Industrial society, Post-industrial society and conclusion. In Introduction, first of all, a few issues are suggested to the purpose and requirement with explaining the background of the paper. In Chapter Ⅱ, form and function in pre-industrial society is searched through studying form follows natural law, local environment, individualization, single-item production and traditional culture. In Chapter Ⅲ, form and function is industrial society is researched through studying form follows artificial law, global environment, standardization, mass-production and public culture. In Chapter Ⅳ, form follows function is post-industrial society is considered through studying form follows ecological law, glocal environment, differentiation, small-quantity production and living culture. Finally, the studied contents are summarized and to suggest a couple of subjects which are should me explored in near future.

      • 산업사회 이전의 디자인 문화에 관한 연구

        The wide range of understanding to the culture is very important in design practice, because most of all design can't be avoided from influence of different culture. Viewpoint of this, design culture in pre-industrial society is studied in this paper. First of all, a few issues are suggested to the purpose and requirement of the paper in introduction. On the basis of this, harmony with design and nature, dogu for suvival, self-sufficiency, vernacular design, survival style and hand-made by mono-item are searched in the main subject. Finally, in conclusion, the studied contents are summarized and to suggest a couple of subjects which are should be studied in future.

      • 분단의식과 기록정신에 마주친 박광수의 영화작가정신 고찰

        Ⅰ. Introduction The name of Park, Gwangsu is called as a filmmaker of socialitical realism film at Korean film world in 1980's and 90's. He has started to direct <Chilsu and Mansu 칠수와 만수> after this film he has pursued an social film to deal with the problem on the separate of south and north Korea. He has believed firmly the several problems to contact with that. Ⅱ. The World of Dir. Park's Works Above all the character of dir. Park's film is to present an observer in all his film. We can find auteur's conscience through analyzing an observer. And almost the characer of observer is resembled to dir. Park. He has shown a melancholy eyesight to Korean society from <Chilsu and Mansu 칠수와 만수>(1989년) to <Revel of Lee, Jaesu 이재수의 난>.(1999년) He dealed an important theme which are a conflict between South and north Korea and social problem to contact with this situation. This point explains that his films are diffrent melodrama from other melodrama. He strong his theme which is his historical conscience from his childhood. He sometimes desired his father's native place. His Father come down from north Korea to south Korea for taking freedom. He represented the seperated south and north Korea in his all film specially <Report of Berlin 베를린 레포트>(1991년), <To Want Go to the Island 그 섬에 가고 싶다>(1993년) and the story to interpreter his historical conscience such as <Geudeuldo Uricheoreom 그들도 우리처럼>(1990년), <Beautiful Mr. Jeon, Taeill 아름다운 전태일>(1995년), <Revel of Lee, Jaesu>.. We can find a consistent style in dir. Park's films. One of that is the aethetic of realism film. and second is to accommodate newsreel to show current events for achieving realiy sense. He pursues his spirit of auter to disuss the problem dealing with seperated south and north Korea. His filmmaker system is changed after <Revel of Lee, Jaesu> to digital film. This system will try various experimental filmmake. We expect dir. Park to jump his second film world. Ⅲ. Conclusion Dir. Park's auter spirit is his eyesight to watch social reality. His historical conscienceness stress the past of Korean history but it is strong soul by the sight of observer. Who are various character in his film, dir. Park trys to represent his theme objectly and indirectly through the character's thought and action. But because of his week eyesight to current reality, many critics said his auter spirit is not strong. anyway we confirm that die. Park is the represenative social filmmaker in Korea.
