The 7th national curriculum for elementary, middle and high school puts in practice from this year. This curriculum emphasizes the student - centered education. Along with this curriculum reform, English curriculum is also fixed anew. This English curriculum is developed for the purpose of increasing communication ability. And understanding Anglo-American cultures is newly added to it as a new language material. With this change as a momentum, this thesis wants to emphasize the necessity of teaching Anglo-American literary theory for understanding its culture more appropriately. The starting point of this thesis is that there is no non-theoretical literary criticism and that every activity of studying literature is preliminary requirement for understanding its culture. This thesis sketches roughly general trends and topics of British and American literary theory from 1890 to the present. This period is divided into 1) before the New Criticism(1890-1918) 2) New Criticism and its alternatives(1918-1968) and 3) After the New Criticism(since 1968). Every theory is always changing and controversial. And every theory can not be in an absolute state. Therefore what we have to do is to teach the students vicissitudes and momentarily stable conditions of literary theory. This teaching method will guarantee the student-centered education and enhance the ability of understanding British and American cultures.

Department of English education's aim is to make good English teachers. But there is some disparity between department of English education's teaching purpose and it's teaching method and curriculum. Especially there are disproportionately many literature courses and very few British and American culture-oriented courses and no courses about reading skills and theorizing reading in the curriculum of department of English education. These problems are self-evident when we compare the curriculum's content of department of English education and the content of middle and high school's English texts. Of course, there are also many problems in the middle and high school's English texts. Firs t of all these texts have so many explanatory lessons which provide no opportunities for students to discuss and argue. Secondly these texts' content is so uninteresting and common sensical that it can't give and enhance the students' learning motivation. Lastly these texts' formation is so monotonously standardized as to permit no flexible use. In order to strengthen the relevance between the curriculum's content of department of English education and the content and the formation of middle and high school's English texts, it is necessary for the department of English education to adopt more British and American culture-oriented courses and courses about reading skills and reading theory(or theorizing reading) and lessen the number of courses about canon-centered literature, But this project of restructuring the curriculum of department of English education is not feasible under the present conditions. So this study takes the next best step. The next best step is to integrate the reading theory into literature courses. It means to made conscious all the time why we read literature, What we read, and how we read it. The aim of this method is to theorize reading. This theorizing reading is to contextualize the reader and the text between autonomy and social determination and historize the ways of reading.
Pumpkin Seed Oil as a Partial Animal Fat Replacer in Bologna-type Sausages

Beef fat was replaced with cold press pumpkin seed oil (PSO; 0%, 5%, 15%, and 20%) in the production of bologna-type sausages. A value of pH, water-holding capacity (WHC), jelly-fat separation, emulsion stability and viscosity values were determined in meat batters. Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), color, and textural characteristics (TPA, shear test, penetration test) were determined in end-product at 1, 7, 14, 21, and 28 days of storage at 4℃. The pH values were varied between 6.06 and 6.08. With the increase in the level of PSO in meat batters, there was a significant increase in WHC, jelly-fat separation and viscosity values (p<0.05) while a significant decrease in emulsion stability (p<0.05). TBARS values of sausages were found to be significantly higher than in the control group (p<0.05), and this trend continued during storage. Increasing of PSO level were caused a significant increase in L* and b* values while a decrease in a* value (p<0.05). Hardness, adhesiveness and chewiness values were significantly reduced whereas cohesiveness and resilience values increased (p<0.05). Maximum shear force and work of shear was significantly decreased as the level of PSO increased (p<0.05). Hardness, work of penetration and the resistance during the withdrawal of the probe values (penetration tests) increased significantly with the increase in the level of PSO (p<0.05). These results indicate that PSO has potential to be use as a replacement of animal-based fats in the production of bologna-type sausages.
Development of 20㎾ Energy Storage System for Smart Green Town

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce the development and structure of 20㎾ Energy Storage System (ESS). The basis of the capacity selection of 20㎾ ESS, which will be installed in ‘Se-hwa sanatorium’, is introduced. The Smart Green Town is defined and its structure is also introduced in this paper. The possibility of success with this system will be verified as an ESS through the simulated results of the grid-connected mode and the stand-alone mode.
Development of Simulator for DFIG-based Wind Turbine

The main goal of this paper is to simulate a Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG), which is similar to a real system. Wind velocity data is applied to a 2D Lookup table as a speed reference for an induction motor instead of the turbine. A real electric machine’s parameters are put in the simulator to get some results of the real system. The Matlab have been generally used to simulate DFIG, but it has some differences from the real system and is difficult to implement. A Simplorer simulator, however, simplifies DFIG simulation. A Space Vector Modulation (SVM) is accepted to control a driver of an induction motor, which plays a part of the turbine. It is possible to retrieve important information, like a generated power and wind quality etc., from the simulator without a huge wind turbine.
