Analysis of Contract Price in a B2B Automobile Auction
Takashi Namatame,Yumi Asahi,Natsuki Motoyoshi,Yuzo Saito 대한산업공학회 2009 Industrial Engineeering & Management Systems Vol.8 No.4
This study analyzed the structure of pricing in the automobile auction market by using real trade data. We focused on the bidding behavior of bidders and the contract price of exhibits. First, we proposed a relational framework among exhibits, number of bidders, and the contract price. Next, we utilized a neural network model to estimate the number of bidders and the contract price. Subsequently, we investigated the relationship between the number of bidders and the contact price, and evaluated our method through an analysis that employed verifying data. Lastly, we listed our suggestions for bidding in auction markets.

Purpose: This study investigated the relationship between the number of days that hospital visits were postponed and changes in clinical parameters due to the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), after the Japanese government declared a state of emergency in April 2020. Methods: Regarding the status of postponement of appointments, we analyzed the patients who had visited the Nihon University Hospital at Matsudo for more than 1 year for supportive periodontal therapy (SPT) and classified them into low-, moderate- and high-risk subgroups according to the periodontal risk assessment (PRA). Clinical parameters for periodontal disease such as probing depth (PD), full-mouth bleeding score (FMBS), full-mouth plaque score, periodontal inflamed surface area (PISA), and periodontal epithelial surface area (PESA) were analyzed in 2 periods, from October 2019 to March 2020 and after April 2020. Correlation coefficients between days of deferral and the degree of changes in clinical parameters were calculated. Results: The mean age of the 749 patients was 67.56±10.85 years, and 63.82% were female. Out of 749 patients, 33.24% deferred their SPT appointments after April 2020. The average total of postponement days was 109.49±88.84. The number of postponement days was positively correlated with changes in average PD (rs=0.474) and PESA (rs=0.443) in the high-risk subgroup of FMBS, and average PD (rs=0.293) and PESA (rs=0.253) in the highrisk subgroup of tooth number (TN). Patients belonging to the high-risk subgroups for both FMBS and TN had a positive correlation between postponement days and PISA (rs=0.56). Conclusions: The findings, the spread of COVID-19 appears to have extended the visit interval for some SPT patients. Moreover, longer visit intervals were correlated with the worsening of some clinical parameters for SPT patients with high PRA.

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is the gold standard for diagnosis and intervention in patients with biliopancreatic disorders. However, ERCP in patients with surgically altered anatomy (SAA) is considered more difficult than in patients with normal anatomy. Since the introduction of balloon enteroscopes for patients with small intestine disorders, single-balloon enteroscopes (SBEs) and double-balloon enteroscopes (DBEs) have also been used for biliopancreatic diseases in patients with SAA. Nevertheless, the use of conventional SBEs and DBEs is limited, as a balloon enteroscope has a working length of 200 cm and a narrow working channel with a diameter of 2.8 mm; therefore, few ERCP accessories are available for use. A short-type SBE with a working length of 152 cm and a working channel of 3.2 mm in diameter, and a short-type DBE with a working length of 155 cm and a working channel of 3.2 mm were introduced to solve these difficulties. Favorable outcomes of these devices have recently been reported. Moreover, studies have reported several tips to achieve procedural success and factors affecting procedure failure. Difficult cases necessitate alternative techniques, such as percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage and endoscopic ultrasound-guided biliary drainage.

The declining trend in the physical fitness of young people poses a severe problem. This trend in physical fitness is considered one of the important factor occurring due to the difference in morphological quality judged by body composition. However, few studies of the kind reported. In the present study, the physical fitness based on difference of morphological quality is confirmed in high school boys. The sample size consists of 146 high school boys aged 16 years. Height, weight, body mass index (BMI), body fat mass, percentage of body fat, soft lean mass (SLM), bone mass and bone mineral density for physique and body composition were measured, in addition to, grip strength, sit-up, sit & reach, side step, 20m shuttle run, 50-m dash, standing long jump and hand ball throwing were measured as physical fitness tests. 20m shuttle run, sit-up and hand ball throwing showed a significant difference among "slim type," "normal type" and "fatty type", classified by the fatty-slim degree judgment based on BMI. Next, a regression polynomial evaluation chart of fat percentage for BMI was constructed in order to examine the physical fitness based on the difference of morphological quality. Physical fitness was examined based on the difference in the degree of qualitative accumulation of fat (excessive development of fat, normal fat, excessive underdevelopment of fat) derived from the evaluation chart. As a result, the student with excessive development of fat was significantly inferior and the excessive underdevelopment of fat type student was significantly superior in grip strength, standing long jump and hand ball throwing ability of the excessive development type. The result indicated a difference in physical fitness based on the difference in the degree of qualitative accumulation. This suggests that the fat percentage was a negative factor for motor ability.
