        일부 인쇄회로기판 납땜근로자들의 눈, 호흡기, 피부의 증상에 대한 조사연구

        목적 : 이 연구는 납점작업자를 대상으로 납점작업으로 유발될 가능성이 높은 눈, 호흡기, 피부 등의 증상호소율 및 노출강도에 따른 관련성을 파악하기위해 수행되었다. 방법 : 연구참가자 146명중 연구목적에 적합한 20명을 제외한 126명을 대상으로 '눈이 가렵고 충혈됨', '코가 가렵거나 파가움', '재채기', '콧물'. '코막힘' , '목이 따끔거림' , '목에 무언가가 걸려있는것 같음' , '갑자기 연속적인 기침을 함' , '운동 시에 다른 사람에 비해 숨이 가쁨', '숨을 쉴 때 쌕쌕하는 소리가 남', '가래가 끓음', '손이나 안면에 가려움을 느낌' , '안면에 여드름이 날' '손이나 안면에 붉은 반점이 남' 등 14가지 증상에 대한 경험유무와 혈중연농도, 납점작업의 건강위험요인에 대한 지식상태 등을 조사하였다. 결과 : 조사된 14가지의 증상 중, '갑자기 연속적인 기침을 함'이 하루 납점시간 4시간 이상인 군아서 4시간 미만인 군보다 유의하게 증상호소율이 높았으며, 다른 증상의 경우 하루 납땜시간에 따라 유의한 결과를 보이지 않았다. 납땜작업의 건강위험요인에 대한 질문에 12.8 %가 플럭스에 의한 건강위험을 지적하였다. 전체 대상자의 평균 혈중연농도는6.05 rg/dL였으며, 히고치는 15.50 rg/dL이었다.결론 : 납땜작업자에게 호흡기 증상의 위험이 높을 가능성이 있으며, 납땜작업의 건강위험에 대한추가적인 연구와 납점작업자들을 대상으로 납점작업에 의해 유발될 수 있는 건강장해에 대한 적극적인교육 및 홍보활동을 필요로 한다. Objectives : This study was conducted to evaluate the prevalence of ocular, respiratory and skin symptoms among solderers and to investigate the relationship between symptom prevalence and exposure intensity. Methods : We analyzed 126 eligible participants out of a population of 146 male solder-ers who completed the symptom questionnaires. Fourteen symptoms including 'itchy and red eyes', 'itchy or prickly nose', 'sneezing', 'rhinorrhea', 'blocked nose', 'prickly throat', 'foreign body sensation in throat', 'sudden bouts of coughing', 'exertional breathlessness', 'wheezing', 'sputum production', 'itchy face or hands', 'acneiform erup-tions on the face' and 'red spots on the face or hands' were contained. Blood lead levels of all the 126 participants were tested and the participants' own assessments of the health risk of soldering were collected. Results : Of the 14 investigated symptoms, 'sudden bouts of coughing' was significantly more prevalent in solderers who worked 4 hours or more a day than those who worked less than 4 hours a day, as for the other symptoms, there were no significant differences in the prevalences related to daily soldering hours. 2.8% of the solderers considered the risk of flux exposure to be serious. The mean blood lead bevel was 6.05 μg/dL (maximum 15.50 μg/dL). Conclusions : Soldering may increase the risk of respiratory symptoms. Further invert tigations on the hazards of soldering processes are warranted and solderers should be educarted on these hazards.

        자일리톨과 불화나트륨을 함유한 저작성 정제가 교정환자의 구강위생에 미치는 영향에 관한 임상시험

        본 연구는 불화나트륨과 자일리톨 성분으로 구성된 구강 청정용 저작성 정제(덴포정, 하미즐, 부천, 경기)가 교정치료 중인 환자의 구강위생 상태에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 시행되었다. 교정치료 중인 18세 이상의 성인 환자 30명을 대상으로 약제 상요 전, 2주 후, 4주 후에 피험자의 상악과 하악 전치 부위 및 구치 부위에서 각각 치은 지수, 치은 출혈 지수, 치태 지수를 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 상하악 전치부와 구치부 모두에서 치태 지수가 약제 사용 전에 비해 사용 2주 후와 4주 후 유의성 있게 감소하였다(p<0.05). 또한, 적용 2주 후와 4주 후의 지수를 비교하였을 때 4주 후에 좀 더 개선된 경향을 보였으나, 통계적 유의성은 나타나지 않았다(p<0.05). 2. 치은 지수, 치은 출혈 지수도 상하악 전치부와 구치부 모두에서 적용 전에 비하여 2주 후와 4주 후 유의성 있게 감소하였다(p<0.05). 적용 2주 후와 4주 후의 지수의 비교 검증에서 통계학적으로 유의할 만한 차이가 보이지 않아 구강위생 상태의 개선이 계속 유지됨을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 치태 지수, 치은 지수, 치은 출혈 지수가 실험 정제 적용 후에 감소하여 구강위생 상태가 개선되었음을 보였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 덴포정을 교정치료 중인 환자에서 부가적으로 사용하였을 경우 치주조직의 건강을 증진시키는데 도움을 줄 수 있으리라고 생각된다. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect a chewable tablet containing sodium fluoride and xylitol (DenPo, Hamizzle, Bucheon, Kyungki) on the oral hygiene state in the orthodontic patients. The subjects consisted of 30 adult orthodontic patients, who have worn the fixed orthodontic appliance at least 6 months. They were instructed to use the tablet forth a day. Gingival index (GI), plaque index (PI), and sulcus bleeding index (SBI) of upper and lower anterior and posterior regions were measured before using the tablet (TO), 2 weeks after using the tablet (T1), and 4 weeks after using the tablet (T2). The data were analyzed with Wilcoxon signed ranks tests. The results were as follows ; 1. PI was decreased significantly in the T1 and T2 stage compared with TO stage in the both anterior and posterior regions (p<0.05). Although PI was decreased in the T2 stage compared with T1, there was not statistical significance(p>0.05). 2. GI and SBI showed similar results compared with PL. In the T1 and T2 stage, there was statistically significant decrease in the GI and SBI (p<0.05). This study showed that the DenPo tablet could be used as an adjunct to improve oral hygiene in the orthodontic patients. The decrease of the indices may suggest that DenPo tablet could be effective in the plaque removal and prevention of gingival inflammation in the orthodontic patients.

      • 염료감응 태양전지용 미세 ZnO 전극의 나노코팅

        염료감응형 태양전지에 적용되는 나노결정형 ZnO 전극을 Ti(OBu)_(4)과 Si(OMe)_(4)으로 표면에 나노코팅을 하였다. 그 결과 루테늄 염료의 화학흡착 기능기인 카르복실 산에 대한 안정성이 크게 향상되었다. 단순한 ZnO 전극은 좋지 않은 광전류-전압 거동과 IPCE 거동을 보여 주는 반면, 표면처리된 전극은 에너지 변환 효율이 약 10배가 증가하였다. 이러한 성능 향상의 원인을 전자현미경, X-선 회절분석, UV-VIS 분광학 및 광전특성을 조사하여 고찰하였다. The surface nanoystalline ZnO electrode has been treated with Ti(OBu)_(4) or Si(OMe)_(4) to improve its stability to acidic anchoring group of Ruthenium dye〔N719〕. While bare ZnO electrode exhibited poor photovoltaic properties including I-V curve and IPCE values, surface-treated ZnO electrode showed a remarkable enhancement of energy conversion efficiency of about 10 times. The origin of this striking enhancement was investigated by comparing the physical and chemical properties of ZnO electrode via SEM, XRD, and UV-VIS spectroscopy, and discussed on the bases of improved surface stability of ZnO particles.

        Evaluating Correlation between Geometrical Relationship and Dose Difference Caused by Respiratory Motion Using Statistical Analysis

        Dose differences between three-dimensional (3D) and four-dimensional (4D) doses could be varied according to the geometrical relationship between a planning target volume (PTV) and an organ at risk (OAR). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the correlation between the overlap volume histogram (OVH), which quantitatively shows the geometrical relationship between the PTV and OAR, and the dose differences. 4D computed tomography (4DCT) images were acquired for 10 liver cancer patients. Internal target volume-based treatment planning was performed. A 3D dose was calculated on a reference phase (end-exhalation). A 4D dose was accumulated using deformation vector fields between the reference and other phase images of 4DCT from deformable image registration, and dose differences between the 3D and 4D doses were calculated. An OVH between the PTV and selected OAR (duodenum) was calculated and quantified on the basis of specific overlap volumes that corresponded to 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50% of the OAR volume overlapped with the expanded PTV. Statistical analysis was performed to verify the correlation with the OVH and dose difference for the OAR. The minimum mean dose difference was 0.50 Gy from case 3, and the maximum mean dose difference was 4.96 Gy from case 2. The calculated range of the correlation coefficients between the OVH and dose difference was from -0.720 to -0.712, and the R-square range for regression analysis was from 0.506 to 0.518 (p-value <0.05). However, when the 10% overlap volume was applied in the six cases that had OVH value ${\leq}2$, the average percent mean dose differences were $34.80{\pm}12.42%$. Cases with quantified OVH values of 2 or more had mean dose differences of $29.16{\pm}11.36%$. In conclusion, no significant statistical correlation was found between the OVH and dose differences. However, it was confirmed that a higher difference between the 3D and 4D doses could occur in cases that have smaller OVH value.

        Process specific differential metabolomes for industrial <i>gochujang</i> types (pepper paste) manufactured using white rice, brown rice, and wheat

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The metabolic perplexes for <I>gochujang</I> (GCJ) fermentative bioprocess, a traditional Korean pepper paste, has largely remain equivocal for preparative conditions and raw material (RM) additives exacerbating its commercial standardization. Herein, we outlined a differential non-targeted metabolite profiling for three GCJ (white rice-WR; brown rice-BR; wheat-WT) under varying processing steps (P1 – fermentation; P2 – <I>meju</I> addition; P3 – ripening; and P4 – red pepper addition). We correlated the process specific metabolomes with corresponding physicochemical factors, enzymatic phenotypes, and bioactivities for GCJ-types. The P1 was characterized by a uniform increase in the levels of RM-derived lysoPCs. In contrast, P2 was observed with proportionally higher levels of <I>meju</I>-released isoflavones and soyasaponins in WR-GCJ, followed by BR and WT-GCJ. The P3 involved a cumulative increase in primary metabolites in all GCJ samples except lower organic acid contents in WT-GCJ. The pepper derived flavonoids and alkaloids were selectively increased while P4 in all GCJ-types.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Metabolic alterations govern quality parameters for industrial <I>gochujang</I> (GCJ). </LI> <LI> Metabolic dynamics for GCJ-types were altered with production processes. </LI> <LI> P3 (ripening) crucially effects nutritional and functional aspects for GCJ. </LI> <LI> Process specific metabolic profiling for GCJ types revealed putative biomarkers. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Emergence of NDM-1–producing Pseudomonas aeruginosa Sequence Type 773 Clone: Shift of Carbapenemase Molecular Epidemiology and Spread of 16S rRNA Methylase Genes in Korea

        Imipenemase (IMP)-6–producing Pseudomonas aeruginosa sequence type (ST) 235 is a dominant clone of carbapenemase-producing P. aeruginosa (CPPAE) in Korea. As part of the Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System in Korea, we found an increase in the carbapenem resistance rate of P. aeruginosa isolates from blood cultures and a shift in the molecular epidemiology of CPPAE. A total of 212 non-duplicated P. aeruginosa blood isolates were obtained from nine general hospitals and two nursing homes. Twenty-four isolates were identified as CPPAE. We observed the emergence of the NDM-1 P. aeruginosa ST 773 clone (N=10), mostly from Gyeongsang Province. The IMP-6 ST 235 clone (N=11) was detected in all provinces. CPPAE isolates showed very high resistance rates to amikacin, and all NDM-1 P. aeruginosa strains carried rmtB. This is the first nationwide surveillance of the recently emerged NDM-1–producing P. aeruginosa ST773 clone in Korea. Continuous surveillance is necessary to prevent the infection and transmission of carbapenem- and amikacin-resistant P. aeruginosa in Korea.
