The Role of Monetary Policy Tools on Stability of Iraqi Economy

Due to the global financial crisis, monetary coordination and macroeconomic stability are now important for domestic and fiscal policies. This study examines the effects of monetary policy on financial and economic stability after the economic lockdown resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. For time-series data models, this article used a V.A.R. (Vector Autoregressive Models) estimator. From the first quarter of 2004 to the first quarter of 2018, data are collected quarterly. The study examines the causal relationships between monetary policy tools and economic stability using a V.A.R. model. The results indicate that Iraq’s monetary policy is most effective at stabilizing the money supply at a targeted growth rate while also combating inflation by putting an equal cap on it (1.8 percent). The money supply had a small effect due to the rentier nature of the Iraqi economy. To provide public spending, the monetary authorities must monetize oil revenues. Finally, a suitable environment must be provided for monetary management, which keeps monetary independence and dominance free from interference. The findings provide an in-depth understanding of the relationships between national monetary policies and economic stability, which can eventually help formulate sound planning of monetary policy and fiscal policy in developing countries.
Effect of Thermal Annealing on the Characteristics of Bi-Sb Thin Film Structure

In this study, Bi-Sb thin film structure was prepared by thermal evaporation method. The electrical, optical transmission and structural characteristics of the prepared samples were introduced before and after thermal annealing process. At temperature of $500^{\circ}C$, the absorption of the structure was improved to reach 97% at near-infrared region. As well, the thermal annealing caused to reduce the bulk resistance of the Bi-Sb thin film structure. The morphology of Bi-Sb structure was also improved by thermal annealing as characteristic islands of the structure appear clearly in form hexagonal areas distinct from each other. This study is aiming to examine such structures if they are employed as photonic devices such as photodetectors, LED's and optical switches.
Statistical Analysis of the Anticipated Risks of the Iraqi Stock Market

This paper analysis the limited effectiveness of the economic role of the Iraqi money market Statistically. There are international challenges and risks that may limit future market activity and cause problems and crises. The research hypothesis was launched from the necessity of interaction between the activity of the Iraqi market for securities and the local financial and economic institutions. Hypothesis has been verified accordingly using Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, normality test and Heteroscedasticity Test. The statical analysis were based on the three mathematical models to expected the return and risk values of Iraqi money market. The potential exposure to negative effects that could be produced by international crises because of the expected openness. The research reached several conclusions, the most prominent of which is the limited economic role of the Iraqi market for securities. The difficulty of implementing monetary and financial policies, due to vulnerability to international challenges.

Research on articulating the design space in computational generative systems is ongoing, to overcome the issue of possible overwhelming multiplicity and redundancy of emerging design options. The article contributes to this line of research of design space articulation, in order to facilitate designers’ successful exploration in computational design. We have recently developed a method for shape clustering using K-Medoids, a machine learning-based strategy. The method performs clustering of similar design shapes and retrieves a representative shape for each cluster in 2D grid-based representation. In this paper, we present a progress in our project where the method has been applied to a new test case, and empirically verified using clustering evaluation methods. Our clustering evaluation results show comparable accuracy when assessed against an external study and provide insight into the evaluation criteria for machine learning methods, as presented in the paper.

The evolution of blockchain-based systems has enabled researchers to develop nextgeneration e-voting systems. However, the classical consensus method of blockchain, that is, Proof-of-Work, as implemented in Bitcoin, has a significant impact on energy consumption and compromises the scalability, efficiency, and latency of the system. In this paper, we propose a hybrid consensus model (PSC-Bchain) composed of Proof of Credibility and Proof of Stake that work mutually to address the aforementioned problems to secure e-voting systems. Smart contracts are used to provide a trustworthy public bulletin board and a secure computing environment to ensure the accuracy of the ballot outcome. We combine a sharding mechanism with the PSC-Bchain hybrid approach to emphasize security, thus enhancing the scalability and performance of the blockchain-based e-voting system. Furthermore, we compare and discuss the execution of attacks on the classical blockchain and our proposed hybrid blockchain, and analyze the security. Our experiments yielded new observations on the overall security, performance, and scalability of blockchain-based e-voting systems.
Job Scheduling Algorithms on Grid Computing: State-of- the Art

Scheduling jobs on computational grids is identified as NP-complete problem due to the heterogeneity of resources; the resources belong to different administrative domains and apply different management policies. This paper conducted an extensive and wide literature review to study the state of the art of grid scheduling algorithms. This review starts with an overview of the grid technologies and a description of the grid resource management systems. The evolution of the grid scheduling mechanisms is illustrated in this paper started from basic scheduling mechanisms such as Min-Min and Max-Min approaches ending with the swarm intelligence optimization methods. The swarm intelligence and evolutionary mechanisms are also presented and critically analyzed.
