디젤기관에서 모노에테르계 함산소제(EGBE)를 이용한 배기배출물 저감과 분석

In this study, the potential possibility of oxygenated fuel such as ethylene glycol mono -n-butyl ether(EGBE) was investigated for the sake of smoke reduction from diesel engine. Because EGBE include oxygen content approximately 27.1%, it is a kind of effective oxygenated fuel that the smoke emission of EGBE is reduced remarkably compared with commercial diesel fuel, that is, it can supply oxygen component sufficient at high load and speed in diesel engine. The results of this study show two conclusions. 1. The smoke emission of the EGBE blended fuel is exhausted lower than that of the diesel fuel at all experimental region in direct injection diesel engine. 2. Smoke emission from diesel engines was strongly depended on oxygen content in fuel regardless of operating condition. 3. Creation of smoke emission is depend on oxidization of higher boiling point hydrocarbons

Biodiesel has a large a mount of oxygen in itself, which makes it very efficient in reducing exhaust emission by improving combustion inside an engine. But biodiesel has a flow problem at a low temperature because it has a high viscosity. In this study, the spray behavior and atomization characteristics were investigated to confirm of some effect for the combination of non-esterification biodiesel and fuel additive WDP(water dipole power) and IPA(Isopropyl alcohol). The process of spray was visualized through the visualization system composed of a halogen lamp and high speed camera, and atomization characteristics were investigated through the laser diffraction particle analyzer(LDPA). When blending WDP and IPA with biodiesel, atomization and spray characteristics were improved. Through this experimental result, SMD of blended fuel, WDP 25% and biodiesel 75%, was 33.9% reduced at distance 6 from a nozzle tip under injection pressure 30㎫.

Although the demands for diesel engine is increased, our world is faced with very serious problems related to the air pollution due to the exhaust emissions of the diesel engine.<br/> In this study, the potential possibility of oxygenated fuel such as Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) was investigated for the sake of smoke reduction from diesel engine.<br/> Although MTBE has been used as a fuel additive blended into unleaded gasoline to decrease carbon monoxide emissions, the study of application for diesel engine was incomplete.<br/> Because MTBE include oxygen content approximately 18.15%, it is a kind of oxygenated fuel that the smoke emission of MTBE is reduced remarkably in comparison with commercial diesel fuel, that is, it can supply oxygen component sufficient at high load and speed in diesel engine.<br/> The results of this study show two conclusions.<br/> I. The smoke emission of the MTBE blended fuel is exhausted lower than that of the diesel fuel in all experimental region.<br/> 2. Smoke emission from diesel engines was strongly depended on oxygen content in fuel regardless of operating condition.<br/>

Because exhaust emissions from automobiles are increased, our environment is faced with ve교 serious problems related to the air pollution.<br/> In particular, the exhaust emissions' of diesel engine are recognized main cause which influenced environment strong. Lots of researchers have been attempted to develope various alternative fuel on purpose to reduce these harmful emissions.<br/> In this study, the potential possibility of esterfied rice bran oil was investigated as an alternative fuel for diesel engine. And, we called the esterfied rice brnn oil biodiesel fuel.<br/> Because biodiesel fuel include oxygen content approximately 10.5%, it is a kind of oxygenated fuel that the smoke emission of biodiesel fuel is reduced remarkably in comparison with commercial gas oil, that is, it can supply oxygen component sufficient at high load and speed in diesel engine.<br/> It was concluded that biodiesel fuel can utilize effectively as an alternative. recyclable and clean fuel for diesel engine.<br/> <br/>

The purposes of improving air quality and diversifying energy resources have intensified research on verifying appropriate alternative fuels for internal combustion engines to solve serious environmental problems caused by the air pollution that is exhausted from various vehicles. In this study, the potential of biodiesel fuel and oxygenated fuel (ethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether; EGBE) was investigated as an effective method of decreasing the smoke emission. The smoke emission of blending fuel (EGBE 0~20 vol-%) was reduced in comparison with diesel fuel and it was reduced approximately 64% at 2000 rpm, full load in the 20% of blending rate. But torque and brake specific energy consumption (BSEC) didnt have no large differences. Also, the effects of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) on the characteristics of NOx emission has been investigated. Consequently, it was found that simultaneous reduction of smoke and NOx was achieved with oxygenated fuel(10%) and cooled EGR rates (5~10%) in an IDI diesel engine.

An CRDI diesel engine used to commercial vehicle was fueled with diesel fuel and 5% biodiesel blended fuel(BDF 5%) with Seoul-10 mode in excess of 150 hours. Engine dynamometer testing was completed at regularly scheduled intervals to monitor the engine performance and exhaust emissions. The engine performance and exhaust emissions were sampled at 1 hour interval for analysis. To check the engine parts(valve, injector), the engine was inspected after test. It was concluded that there was no unusual deterioration of the engine, or any unusual changes in engine power and exhaust emissions in spite of operation of 150 hours with BDF 5%.

Our environment is faced with serious problems related to the air pollution from automobiles in these days. In particular, the exhaust emissions of diesel engine are recognized main cause which influenced environment strong. In this study, the potential possibility of biodiesel fuel was investigated as an alternative fuel for a naturally aspirated IDI diesel engine. The smoke emission of biodiesel fuel was reduced remarkably in comparison with diesel fuel, that is, it was reduced approximately 36% at 2000rpm, full load. But, power, torque and brake specific energy consumption didn't have no large differences. But, NOx emission of biodiesel fuel was increased compared with commercial diesel fuel. Also, the effects of exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) on the characteristics of NOx emission has been investigated. It was found that simultaneous reduction of smoke and NOx was achieved with biodiesel fuel(20vol-%) and cooled EGR method(10~15%).
