        곽영길 ( Younggil Kwak ) 한국경찰학회 2013 한국경찰학회보 Vol.15 No.6

First, they show that the gender of researchers are male, the regions where they reside are capital areas, the status of them are professors, the types of researches are individual. Also it is shown that the number of researchers is 1.2 per academic journal and the chance of publication per run theses once is highest and the types of supported researches cost are pure academic researches and the type of research approach is descriptive research and the cause and effect analysis in approach of data is used most each. Second, 28,9 reference data are used to write one thesis and the types of reference data are book forms and the journal cited in reference data is Korea Public Peace Administrative Science Journal. If we see the state of reference data in research types, it is revealed that more reference data are used in collaborative research projects. The journals cited more than once to write are 78 species of the surveyed 46 theses, among which the cited journals more than 4 times are 10 species. Also they show that the relation with police science through the cite of journals is in Administrative science (5 species, 28,4%), Laws (3 species, 12,1%), Psychology (1 species, 2,4%).Third, As a result of analyses in core words, it is revealed that the total of 144 core words are used, among which police is frequently used. It is said that the consequences of this study offer many suggestions for the development of police science. Suggestions are as follows. First, Political consideration is necessary for female prior to male, residents who live in non-capital areas prior to capital ones to activate study of police science researchers. Also the types of collaborative researches should be activated among researchers. In addition, when considering that police science treats more practical phenomena than other sciences and its fusion is strong among subjects, it is necessary for the persons in charge of researches to participate actively in them. Second, Diversification of police science should exist. Researchers should make efforts to maintain objectivity and systematicality, using various research methods from focusing descriptive researches to gauging and qualitative researches. Third, Though there are many interests of political science study, because quoting academic journals in reference data is overdependent on particular journals, it is necessary that other academic journals should be used for police science to secure applications and practicality and professionalism and variety in subjects as academical feature of police science. Fourth, If researchers consider that police science is social science which treats speedy changing the realities of life, they should study the realities of life using recent data actively in quoting references.

Conclusion: As an improvement plan, first, it is necessary to open a unique homepage and strengthen the publicity in order to actively encourage citizens participation. In other words, it is necessary to actively promote and provide institutional support so that local citizens can actively know and participate in the main policies of the autonomous police committee. Second, active interactive communication plans should be sought to promote citizen participation (regular meetings, holding briefing sessions, etc.). Third, it is necessary to seek cooperation in the level of co-production in the security services. Fourth, it is the enactment of ordinances by local governments that can activate citizen participation. Fifth, the activation of citizen participation through the network construction of police cooperation organizations and civic groups related to security services should be promoted.
