In this study, localized development of a submerged cryogenic pump for use in LNG containers is conducted with large-sized commercial vehicles as the target. The submerged pump installed in an LNG storage container is the key module that supplies fuel to the engine through the reciprocating motion of a piston. Research and development on 660-L fuel containers is performed herein. The target is to achieve a mileage of 600 ㎞ or more by applying it to major NGV vehicles worldwide. In this manner, the present study aims to verify the operating mechanisms of the major parts of currently advanced products through reverse engineering in the early development process and draw basic design data.

This study addresses the modeling of a bi-directional outlet variable swash plate type axial piston pump with two EPPR valves and an analysis of the response characteristics to the angle control of that pump. In this paper, the combination of the EPPR valve and double rod type piston is referred to as the EPPR regulator. The EPPR regulator is compact and inexpensive, and has good responsiveness. Under actual pump operating conditions, because of the various external conditions of the pump, inertia is applied to the swash plate, generating the tilting torque. Also, the tilting torque can delay or shorten the response characteristics of the regulator. So we validated them through the analysis using SimulationX and these results allow users to freely integrate the EPPR regulator into the desired system.

For this purpose, I categorized brand loyalty by type considering consumers behavior and attitudes, and researched what kind of distribution can be formed among individuals participating in sports according to type. In addition, I examined how the customers brand loyalty on sportswear would be influenced by the reason of their participating in sports. In order to test the hypothesis of the study, I questioned the subjects regarding brand loyalty in the use of sportswear with a self-administration method, and as statistic methods, I used one-way ANOVA (Analysis of variance) and frequency analysis, which crosstabulates the chi-square Test with the SAS 6.2 program. The results testing the hypothesis of this study through the analysis above, were summarized as follows: First, in the case of sports shoes, there was no significant differences in distribution among 4 types of brand loyalty suggested in this study, and in the cases of sportswear and golf clubs, there is a little more distribution in the situational brand loyalty and the non-brand loyalty than emotional brand loyalty. Second, variables such as seeking of spare time, pursuit of pragmatism, etc. resulted in no difference among the types of brand loyalty. And regarding self-confidence, recognitional brand loyalty groups showed higher response. On the grounds of the result of the analysis above, I think that this study suggests quite important criteria in marketing planning and strategies, especially in market segmentation, a criterion for selecting target.

Renal involvement is one of the extra-articular manifestations found in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Membranous glomerulonephopathy, membranoproliferative glomeruonophritis, secondary amyloidosis, and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis are reported as pathologic diagnoses of renal involvement. However, reports of renal involvement in patients with RA and antineutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibody (ANCA)-associated pauci-immune glomerulonephritis are rare. Recently, we experienced two patients with RA who developed azotemia and were finally diagnosed with ANCA-associated pauci-immune glomerulonephritis. Because of the rarity of these cases, we report two cases in patients with RA with a literature review.

Objective: Although increased expression of receptor for advanced glycation end products (AGE) in osteoarthritis (OA) has been reported, little is known concerning the role of AGEs in the pathogenesis of OA. This study was undertaken to determine the effect of AGEs on the regulation of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) expressions and activities in human OA chondrocytes Methods: OA chondrocytes were treated with increasing doses of AGE-bovine serum albumin (AGE-BSA). The expressions of MMPs were determined by both enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and immunoblot analysis. The activities of MMPs were evaluated by both gelatin and casein zymography assays. In addition, electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA) was employed to investigate the DNA binding activity of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) by AGE-BSA treatment. Results: The productions of MMP-1, -3, and -13 were significantly elevated by AGE-BSA in a dose dependent manner. The elevated activities of MMP-1, -3, and -13, and TNF-α by AGE-BSA were also observed. DNA binding activity of NF-κB was markedly increased by AGE-BSA treatment implicating possible involvement of NF-κB mediated pathway in the AGE-BSA induced MMP-1, -3, and -13, and TNF-α productions in OA chondrocytes. Taken together, this study demonstrates the stimulatory effect of AGE-BSA on the productions of MMPs and TNF-α and suggests the possible involvement of NF-κB mediated pathway in OA chondrocytes. Conclusion: These results suggest that AGE may play a role in pathogenesis of OA.

Plasma cell granuloma, a form of inflammatory pseudotumor, is a rare nonneoplastic lesion that is characterized by cellular proliferation composed predominantly of polyclonal plasma cells with other inflammatory cells in fibrovascular background. We have experienced an unusual case of plasma cell granuloma of skull that developed in a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). A 42-year-old female diagnosed with SLE 13 years ago has complained of palpable scalp mass and headache beginning ten days previously. A brain magnetic resonance imaging showed intensely enhanced soft tissue mass with focal bone defect in right parietal bone and whole body positron emission tomography suggested high possibility of malignancy. Surgical tumor removal was performed. Biopsy specimen revealed inflammatory proliferation predominantly with mature plasma cells which were determined to be polyclonal in immunostaining. Currently, 4 months after surgery, the patient are on regular follow-up with oral medications (prednisolone, hydroxychloroquine) for SLE without evidence of recurrence.
