One of the most important goal in University physical education teacher education (PETE) is to improve teaching ability of pre-service teachers. Most of all the classes of PETE, however, focus on the improvement of sports skills rather than improvement of teaching ability. The purpose of this study was to develop the station learning strategies for a University PETE method classes. In specific, this study introduced how station learning strategy was adopted to a University PETE class and reported major feature that researcher have discovered while teaching at B University PETE class. In addition, Station learning strategies adapted in this study included class journals after class, teaching middle and high school students and a variety of teaching method such as theories of various instructional model for the improvement of teaching ability of pre-service teachers. The class has features such as a group work, set up station, leader, student-focused instruction, the actual experiencing of teaching, increases in interaction among students, enhanced teaching skills, process-focused assessment. During a semester, classes are performed in sequence of introducing the competitive games, grouping, teaching students, and application of the model. The sequence of the classes can be modified after consideration of learning environment. Station learning strategy may provide added opportunities to cultivate teaching skills in PETE students.
