예비교사들의 지도 능력 향상은 교사양성 기관인 사범대학의 중요한 교육목표중의 하나이다. 하지만 대부분의 사범대학 체육교육과 지도법 관련 교과목은 이론적인 지도로 이루어져 예비교사들에게 실질적인 도움을 못주고 있다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 예비체육교사들의 지도 능력 향상에 초점을 두어 진행했던 사범대학 체육교육과 지도법 교과목 수업 사례를 소개한 후 예비체육교사들의 지도 인식에 대해 심층적으로 분석하는 것이다. 지도법 수업은 예비 체육교사들의 지도능력 향상을 위해 스테이션을 설치하였으며 수업관찰일지 작성, 실제 학생 지도, 다양한 수업 모형 적용 등의 방법이 포함된다. 수업이 진행되는 동안 면담, 비참여 관찰, 수업관찰일지 등의 다양한 방법을 이용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 결과 학생들은 지도 능력이 향상되고 다양한 수업 모형에 대한 이해가 증대되었지만 난이도 조절, 학생 관리 등에서 계획과 실제 수업사이의 괴리를 경험하였다. 이러한 괴리는 해당 종목에 대한 전문 기능이나 지식 부족에 기초한 것으로 학생들은 난이도 선정, 시범, 설명 등에서 자신감을 상실하였다. 그 결과 학생들은 해당 종목의 전문 실기 능력과 이론 습득의 필요성을 체험하였다. One of the most important goal in University physical education teacher education (PETE) is to improve teaching ability of pre-service teachers. Most of all the classes of PETE, however, focus on the improvement of sports skills rather than improvement of teaching ability. The purpose of this study was to develop the station learning strategies for a University PETE method classes. In specific, this study introduced how station learning strategy was adopted to a University PETE class and reported major feature that researcher have discovered while teaching at B University PETE class. In addition, Station learning strategies adapted in this study included class journals after class, teaching middle and high school students and a variety of teaching method such as theories of various instructional model for the improvement of teaching ability of pre-service teachers. The class has features such as a group work, set up station, leader, student-focused instruction, the actual experiencing of teaching, increases in interaction among students, enhanced teaching skills, process-focused assessment. During a semester, classes are performed in sequence of introducing the competitive games, grouping, teaching students, and application of the model. The sequence of the classes can be modified after consideration of learning environment. Station learning strategy may provide added opportunities to cultivate teaching skills in PETE students.
