      • 초격자의 전자층 두께가 Plasma 분산관계에 미치는 영향

        A hydrodynamic model is used to determine the finite thickness effect of the electron layers on the plasmon dispersion relation of GaAs-Al_xGa_1 - _xAs superlattice. Although the model which includes layer thickness gives only small changes from the zero thickness(two-dimensional) model, they are just enough to remove the discrepancy between the theory based on two-dimensional model and experiment. Assuming that the main damping mechanism for the line width broadening of the transmission spectroscopy is the collision, the result of this work could be applied to find the resisitivity of semiconductor superlattice without probing by Helicon wave propagation method.

      • 강박증 환자에서의 인격장애 공존병리에 관한 연구

        연구목적 : 강박증의 동반인격장애에 관한 연구들은 기존의 개념과 달리 강박성 인격장애와 강박증 간에는 특이적인 관계가 없으며, 강박증 환자들은 다양한 인격장애를 동반한다는 결과를 보여주었다. 그러나 이러한 연구들은 동반 인격장애에 관한 기술적인 분석에 그쳤고, 강박증 환자군의 임상 증상과 동반 인격장애 양상간의 연관성에 관한 분석을 시행하지 않았다. 본 연구의 목적은 강박증 환자군에서의 동반 인격장애를 평가하고 강박증 환자의 다양한 증상과 동반 인격특성 간의 연관성에 대해 연구하는 것이다. 방 법 : DSM-IV의 강박증의 진단기준을 만족하는 59명의 환자군과 32명의 정상대조군을 대상으로 인격장애 질문지를 적용한 후 4∼6점의 절단점을 기준으로 인격장애의 진단이 내려졌다. 먼저 환자군과 정상대조군 간의 특정 인격장애 빈도의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 Fisher's exact test를 시행한 후, 두집단 간에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀진 인격장애 척도 점수에 미치는 Y-BOCS,BDI,BAI점수의 영향을 알아보기 위하여 다중선형회귀 분석을 시행하였다. 결 과 : 1) Fisher's exact test 결과 강박증 환자군은 정상 대조군에 비해 경계성 인격장애(18.6%vs 0%, p=0.007). 회피성 인격장애(55.9% vs 18.8%, p=0.001), 우울성 인격장애(40.7% vs 0%, p=0.000)의 비율이 유의하게 높았다. 2) 다중선형회귀분석 결과 Y-BOCS 점수 (t=2.10, p=0.043)와 BAI점수(t=2.60, p=0.014)는 경계성 인격장애 점수에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 BAI점수(t=3.23, p<0.003)는 회피성 인격장애 저수에, BDI점수 (t=3.08, p=0.004)는 우울성 인격장애 점수에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 결 론 : 강박증 환자군은 정상 대조군에 비해 회피성 인격장애, 우울성 인격장애, 경계성 인격장애의 동반율이 높고, 강박증이 경계성 인격장애의 심각도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 사료된다. The purpose of this study was to assess the comorbid axis-Ⅱ disorders of obsessive compulsive disorder(OCD) patients and to investigate the relationship between symptoms of OCD and the comorbid personality traits. The subjects were 59 patients who met DSM-IV criteria for obsessive-compulsive disorder and 32 normal controls. All subjects completed personality Disorder Questionnaire-IV(PDQ-IV). The patients completed Beck Depression Inventory(BDI) and Beck Anxiety Inventory(BAI), and were rated with Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale(YBOCS). The results were as follows. 1) The OCD patients showed significantly higher prevalence of avoidant, depresssive and borderline personality disorder(p<0.01) compared to controls. 2) The BAI score had significant effect on the avoidant personality score(t=3,23, p<0.003). The BDI score had significant effect on the depressive personality score(t=3.08, p=0.004). The YBOCS(t=2.10, p=0.043) and BAI(t=2.60, p=0.014) scores had significant effects on the borderline personality score. We found that OCD patients had higher prevalence of avoidant, depressive, and borderline personality disorders. We also found that obsessive-compulsive symptoms have significant effect on the severity of borderline personalty traits. We suggest that it would be very helpful to consider Axis-Ⅱ disorders for managing patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder.

      • 녹농균의 혈청형에 관한 연구

        The rabbit anti-group sera against thirteen representative standard strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, A to M groups were prepared for preparation of serological diagnostic factor. Using the grouping sera for both slide and tube methods, the agglutination reaction has been carried out for each of the thirteen groups of viable and various killed cells of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, A to M groups as agglutinogens to obtain the following results: 1. Of the thirteen anti-group sera eleven showed highly specific antisera for serological typing on the slide agglutination regardless of ind of agglutinogens i.e., viable, thermostable, thermolabile or formalized cells. 2. When serologicalcross reaction of the standard group strains with each of the anti-sera was estimated by using agglutination reaction, the anti-G group serum showed ?? To ?? Intensity of cross reaction with the viable cells of A, F and J grouping. 3. The viable cells of F group were reacted with all anti-group sera except one. 4. The thermostable agglutinogen (120℃, 2hr) of group F strain gave no cross reaction with any of the thirteen anti-group serum. By contrast group M showed the cross reactivity with almost all of the anti-sera. 5. In the course of the immunization, of the thirteen groups, the agglutinin titers of each of anti-group sera, except for the thermolabile antigen were highest in two weeks after immunization by tube method. 6. Of the standard groups strains the group E was highly immunogenic. The anti-E serum showed agglutinin titer 2,560 times more than other groups for various agglutinogens as mentioned previously. The agglutinin titers of anti-C, -D, -D and -K group sera were shown even at 1,280 to 2,560 times dilution when thermostable antigens were used. In case of thermolabile antigens, however, the above titers were not appreciable at 20 times dilution. 7. In the titration of the agglutinins of 0 antigen of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, A to M groups, the thermostable antigens were most sensitive agglutinogen, while the thermolabile antigens were lowest in sensitivity.

        한국의 한 농촌 지역에 거주하는 노인에서의 치매의 유병률

        본 연구는 한국의 농촌지역인 경기도 연천군에 거주하는 65세 이상 노인인구를 대상으로 치매의 유병률을 산정하였다. 선별검사로서 MMSE-K를 실시한 후 NINCDS-ADRDA 기준에 따라 치매의 임상 진단을 확정하였고, 치매의 정도는 DSM-Ⅲ-R 기준에 의하여 평가하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1) 치매의 유병률은 9.5%로 추산되었으며, 알쯔하이머병과 혈관성 치매의 유병률은 각각 4.5%와 2.5%이었다. 2) 치매의 유병률은 연령증가에 따라 증가하는 소견을 보였으며, 성별차이는 알쯔하이머병의 경우 여자에서 유병률이 더 높았으나 혈관성 치매는 남자에서 더 높았다. 3) 치매의 정도에 따른 유병률은 경도의 치매는 6.2%, 중등도 및 중증 치매가 3.3%이었다. 이상의 결과에서 본 연구는 한국에서의 치매의 유병률 양상이 종래의 북미나 유럽에서와 유사하고, 중국이나 일본 등 다른 아시아권의 국가에서와는 차이를 보이는 소견을 나타냈다. The authors investigated the prevalence and risk factors of dementia among 1,674 elderly residents in Yonchon county of Kyonggi-do, a rural area of Korea who were above 65 years of age, in 1993. The primary screening was done with MMSE-K(Korean version of Mini-mental State Examination), and the final diagnoses of dementia for 436 subjects were made by NINCDS-ADRDA criteria. The prevalence of total dementia was 9.5%, and it increased with advancing age. Particularly, it rapidly increased in the elderly above 75 years of age. The prevalence of dementia in female as a whole was higher than in male, but this was not shown in each age group. The prevalences of Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia were 4.5% and 2.5%, respectively. Assessing the degree of dementia with DSM-Ⅲ-R criteria, the prevalence of moderate and severe dementia was 3.3%. Our result showed the similar finding to the prevalence of dementia in western countries, but was different from those of the previous studies in other Asian countries, China and Japan.

      • Plasmon dispersion relation in Type Ⅱ(e-h System) Superlattices

        Unusual plasmas consisting of periodic layers of spatially separated electrons and holes can be fabricated by MBC techniques. These materials are referred to as Type Ⅱ superlattices but also include the class of doping superlattices called n-i-p-i lattices. Inter and intra layer coulomb interactions create plasma modes with acoustic dispersion which may be observed by inelastic light scattering (Ra-man effect). Plasmon dispersion relations for some typical structures are calculated taking into account the finite thickness and finite separation of the plasma layers.

        본 논문은 유형Ⅱ 초격자내의 전자기체 plasmon 분산관계를 RPA 이론을 사용하여 알아보았다. 유형Ⅱ 초격자의 acoustic plasmon 분산관계를 비탄성 빛산란 (Raman effect) 실험으로 관측하기 위해서는 n-i-p-i 구조를 가진 doping 한 초격자가 가장 적합하다. 이 표본 (sample)에 대해 Inter 그리고 Intra subband electronic collective excitation modes와 전자기체층의 두께 그리고 층 간격과의 상관관계를 정량적으로 계산했다.

        본 논문은 3차원 유전체 안에 묻혀 있는 2차원 전자 기체 내의 plasmon에 대한 분산관계를 Fourier 변환을 도입하여 Maxwell의 방정식을 풀음으로써 얻었다. Stern (1)의 방법과는 달리 일반적으로 접근한 본 논문의 결과는 Stern의 것과 정확히 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 논문에서 사용한 이 방법은 둘 또는 그 이상의 서로 다른 유전상수를 가진 유전체 덩어리 안에 묻혀 있는 여러 2차원 전가 기체층들에 일반적으로 적용할 수 있음을 보여주었다.

        <P>A new series of highly efficient red-emitting phosphorescent Ir(III) complexes, (Et-CVz-PhQ)<SUB>2</SUB>Ir(pic-N-O), (Et-CVz-PhQ)<SUB>2</SUB>Ir(pic), (Et-CVz-PhQ)<SUB>2</SUB>Ir(acac), (EO-CVz-PhQ)<SUB>2</SUB>Ir(pic-N-O), (EO-CVz-PhQ)<SUB>2</SUB>Ir(pic), and (EO-CVz-PhQ)<SUB>2</SUB>Ir(acac), based on carbazole (CVz)-phenylquinoline (PhQ) main ligands and picolinic acid N-oxide (pic-N-O), picolinic acid (pic), and acetylacetone (acac) ancillary ligands, are synthesized for phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PhOLEDs), and their photophysical, electrochemical, and electroluminescent (EL) properties are investigated. All of the Ir(III) complexes have high thermal stability and emit an intense red light with an excellent color purity at CIE coordinates of (0.65,0.34). Remarkably, high-performance solution-processable PhOLEDs were fabricated using Ir(III) complexes with a pic-N-O ancillary ligand with a maximum external quantum efficiency (5.53%) and luminance efficiency (8.89 cd A<SUP>−1</SUP>). The novel use of pic-N-O ancillary ligand in the synthesis of phosphorescent materials is reported. The performance of PhOLEDs using these Ir(III) complexes correlates well with the results of density functional theory calculations.</P> <B>Graphic Abstract</B> <P>A new series of highly efficient red-emitting phosphorescent Ir(III) complexes are synthesized for phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PhOLEDs) and their electroluminescent properties are investigated.         Copper(II) Oxyanion Complexes Derived from Sparteine Copper(II) Dinitrate: Synthesis and Characterization of 4- and 5-Coordinate Copper(II) Complexes

        Nine copper(Ⅱ) oxyanion, and mixed oxyanion complexes that have four- or five-coordinate geometries around copper(Ⅱ) centers were derived from sparteine copper(Ⅱ) dinitrate precursor [Cu($C_{15}$$H_{26}$N2)(NO3)2]. The precursor complex undergoes an anion exchange with various oxyanions, and an interchange reaction with other sparteine copper(Ⅱ) complexes. The [Cu($C_{15}$$H_{26}$N2)(CH3CO2)2] also undergoes "halogen atom abstraction" reaction with CCl4 to produce the mixed anion complex [Cu($C_{15}$$H_{26}$N2)(CH3CO2)Cl]. The whole set of prepared complexes has been used for the comparative electrochemical and spectroscopic studies.
